Food is 6/10, nothing to write home about but by no means bad. A little greasy, not consistent, still overall okay. Service is bad. Went with family, ordered 3 masala dosas. At first we got someone else's order. Pointing this out to the waiter seemed to bother them. I'm not particularly interested in eating sometime else's food. First dosa put on our table was very cold. We asked the waitress. She rolls her eyes and says "it's fresh, what do you want me to do". Two other plates for our table come out. Food is hot and fresh. Clear difference in quality. One of the dosas is pancake-like. Super thick. Some have barely any potato. After food was delivered, waitress stopped checking at our table. No water refills or anything else. The ones that were made well were good. But there's no consistency, and pointing it out gets you worse service and poor treatment. read more

Very cozy yet authentic South Indian spot - an unexpected find during a short trip to Columbus. Overall - this is a must visit for anyone who wants to try authentic Indian comfort food! We tried a few different things, I liked the sambar, chutney, and potato accompanied by the dosa. I also tried chole puri, and truly enjoyed this one, the spices were mild and not overpowering like the many other Indian restaurants. Service was quick and the tables were clean. I wish the dosas were not so oily, that was the only downside, hope they improve this next time. read more

Oh my goodness! What a delicious Indian food. A very authentic taste. This place is a definite must. I am so glad that I stopped here. They are a fully vegetarian Indian restaurant. I want to say they are owned or run by family. It has a very family vibe to the place and a very very casual dining. A very homely place with a lot of vegan options. Their service was wonderful. They are family friendly and business casual. There isn't much space in the front to park cars. This is also a dine-in and carryout place. I will definitely go to this place again. I highly recommend it. read more

Decided to finally check out dosa corner as it's right by our gym. Glad we went!! It was a Tuesday afternoon, so we didn't have to wait and were able to pick our own table. There were some other customers there as well, so not entirely empty. The place was as we expected for kind of a "hole in the wall" place. When we arrived, many tables hadn't been cleared, but there was only one server working. Service was quick, which I found surprising for an Indian restaurant where service occasionally can be notoriously long. They did forget to serve me the chai I ordered, but I didn't mind as the dosas were got were amazing and for me water was the way to go. We ordered the paneer masala dosa and the spinach masala dosa - each were fantastic and really hit the spot. However, I took off a star because my dosa had an accumulation of chili peppers in the last few bites which made it way too spicy for me. For someone who may love spice and has a better spice tolerance than I do, it may not be much of an issue! read more

Authentic Indian home cooking. The Dosa is delicious and large enough potion to easily share. read more

The place is quite modest and not very big. Signs stated reservations were required, but I assume this is for dinner as I was let right in. Service was slow and disorganized, a greater source of frustration for some others than me. The back of the place though, had people chopping vegetables at a vigorous place, and I could not question the freshness or the deliciousness of food that I ultimately received. I ordered a dosa with a mix of peppers, onions, and cherry tomatoes; I was hesitant to do this as the fancier dosas were not available for combo specials with other food items on their menu, but the dosa by itself was enough of a meal for me. A chai was unsweetened and hot temperature wise, and it did do well in washing away some of the spicy aftertaste. I wish I could have gotten my dosa with a better overall dining experience, but for anyone that has not tried this fantastic savory and slightly sour lentil-based crepe, I suggest you take the chance. read more

Food was tasty for sure but this is more of a take out spot. Everything felt sticky & dirty in the whole restaurant. Water damaged ceilings billowing down, dirty bathrooms, ect. Service was ok. Food was good. Drinks were good. Both the mango & the salted lassi were delicious. The paneer dosa stuffed full of potatoes, was so good. The uthappam was something I had never had before just it was tasty. The sauces they both came with lacked flavor however & were on the thin side so couldn't really dip or pour them easily. Overall, I won't stop by to eat here again with so many good options on Henderson & Bethel area, but I would get carry out. read more

If you want authentic vegetarian Indian cuisine, then look no further. This hole in the wall restaurant should be your go to place. We have been there couple of times and I have tried few of their dosa, (Bangalore Dosa Thali, Masala Dosa and the Hyderabad) and they are pretty consistent every time. We also tried their Chole Poori, which was good too. It's a small place but can get pretty crowded and when it does, their customer service will lack. But overall, if you like dosa, definitely try this place out. read more

I got the Hyderabad masala dosa with garlic chutney inside. It was very tasty and I loved the red roasted color and triangle shape too (I'm used to cylindrical roll dosas which I'm bored of). Can't go wrong with this one. Sambar is mediocre though, and the restaurant itself is too crowded so new customers have to come in a have almost no room to stand and wait. So we're stuck waiting awkwardly watching the customers eat. Also, the inside area is not clean and when they clean the tables, the food goes onto the floor so it feels like we're eating after everyone else's dirty remains. That feels really gross and takes away from the food experience. Please keep the restaurant cleaner and make it bigger or change the location so that we can have a better overall experience. read more

Dosa Corner - Hydrabad Masala Dosa - Indian Near Me - Columbus, Ohio

About 40 years ago, my favorite restaurant was a South Indian place. It was in an ordinary shopping center in an ordinary suburb of ... Indianapolis?? I don't remember where. But the restaurant was anything but ordinary. I don't think anyone went for the ambience. The wait staff was a bunch of very, very nice and human Indians with varying proficiency in English, but their service was excellent. And the FOOD. Holy cats. The FOOD. South Indian food isn't what you usually see in an Indian restaurant. It's largely flatbread, made with lentil, rice and buckwheat flour. WHOA, WHOA, WHOA - don't stop reading. We're not talking brown lentils - there are 87 different kinds of the little beans. Whatever they use, the pancake-y flatbreads can be sweet or sour or mild; and soft or crispy. They're all types of dosa. Then they add toppings. They're usually vegetarian, so don't look for lamb. They're made from things like potatoes or a delicious kind of basil or a kind of mango that isn't sweet but tastes amazing after it's cooked. Hotness can be anything from the mildest to holy crap bring another glass of water, depending on the dish and what spice level you order. The spices aren't like you have had before, but they're delicious: savory or sweet or pungent or all kinds of other things. YUM. At Dosa Corner, I got the spicy spinach uthappam. Get that. The flatbread is spongy and sweet yet substantial. The spinach, onion and spices are baked onto the top, making the whole thing even a bit sweeter. I love hot food, but I'm kind of out of practice, so I had to cut the chili slices in half and still push half of them to the side. But that wasn't hard, because the toppings were arranged kind of in areas on the bread. This made every bite taste slightly different from the last. Heaven. My wife got a more traditional mutter paneer curry over rice. It was also outstanding, yet spiced a bit differently than might have been done at Aab or other usual Indian place. Get that. The store is far from fancy, but it's clean inside (outside - not so much). Service is friendly, prompt and helpful. Parking is a bit tight, but try the back before you get annoyed. It's easy to find and to get to. Go there. read more

I love Dosa Corner!!! I tried the combo this time. It is a ton of food. The combo plate is where it's at! Good amount of food for the price. The pondicherry and hydrabad dosas are my favorites. The only drawback was the waitress sort of rushed/pressured me to order, saying the kitchen was about to close even though we came 1.5 hours before closing. read more

Dosa Corner is a quintessential hole in the wall establishment serving up some great and filling South Indian style vegetarian street food. The service is inconsistent but friendly, and the place could use a facelift. However, the food more than makes up for it. On our visit there, we tried the Bangalore Dosa Thali and the Chole Poori, and both dishes were more than enough for 3 of us to eat over 2 meals. I highly recommend Dosa Corner to anyone on the lookout for authentic Indian street food, and I can't wait to go back here to try out more of their other menu options. read more

Great food for a great price. The service was very nice and accommodating for my first visit. First time having dosa and I am thoroughly not disappointed. It had a nice light and crispy texture with a healthy amount of filling, and the sauces were amazing. I also got a solid chai that was served unsweetened which is perfect. Ended off with a nice dessert from their counter to-go. The interior was pleasantly decorated (though there was an ai painting of horses) and I had an overall great experience read more

This place is vegetarian but there are plenty of vegan options. Dosas are a thin crepe that is deep fried the be deliciously crispy. Then you fill it up with delicious Indian dishes. I got the combo which comes with some salty donuts and a spongy bread and one of those delicious honey balls. Pretty big plate. My wife got the coconut curry and some naan. Seems to be a family business. Peeked in the kitchen and saw what seems to be an Indian family. Servers were also Indian and plenty of Indian customers verifies that this place is legit. Will come again to try something else. Parking in front and in the back read more

Hubs and I came here for lunch on one of our days off. It's very authentic southern Indian cuisine. from the decor to the spices, I was excited to eat here. It's been a while since I've been in. We shared the idli. I think it was puffy, but hubs said it was stickier than usual. We shared two different dosas- one with paneer and chili and one with vegetables and chili. The sauces were delicious. The dosas were so light and crunchy. We had chai tea as well. Definitely a good stop if you're craving souther Indian cuisine! read more

This place is a local Indian-run, no frills diner, and I expected a much more authentic, quality spot. It was recommended by a friend. We had the dosa and the saag paneer- the quality of the ingredients were quite poor. The server was good- filled waters regularly, though seemed a bit confused or was sort of working inefficiently which wasn't so important had the food been good. Very greasy, and we didn't end up eating most of it. Would not recommend and would not eat here again. read more

Food over here use to be really good and "homey"and that's why this place was my go-to for Indian vegetarian, although it was considerably worse this time. Prices are cheap, so you can always give it a try to judge for yourself. I am probably avoiding this joint in future. Below are my short and sweet ratings of the stuff that i had ordered. Spinach Masala Dosa - 3/5 Onion & hot Chilli masala dosa - 3/5 Onion Pakora - 2/5 Sauces/Chutneys- 4/5 Mysore coffee -5/5 Chole poori 3/5 Bindi masala 3/5 The restaurant is a small establishment with a cozy vibe, but most could also think it is one of the fast food joints. Service is slow because they are very busy as it looks like they are short on staff , and the server comes only once or twice overall. One may explain that it is suppose to be that way since the payment is to be done at the counter read more

Great authentic South Indian food. It's a small family run restaurant, great atmosphere and personalized service. They have plenty of Indian plants that give the place a very homely feel. Mysore pak: 5/5 some of the best I've had in the US! Gulab jamun: 5/5 definitely made in-house, and not store bought like many Indian restaurants do Vadai: 4/5 Mysore masala dosa: 3/5, it was dripping in oil, otherwise the taste was extraordinary.. not sure why it was so oily Idli, sambhar and chutney: 3/5 They had packed all the items in styrofoam containers:( wishing they used some sustainable and healthier packing options! Coming from the Bay Area, the quantities provided and price point was unbelievable for me haha :) read more

Totally unpretentious and affordable vegetarian Indian eats in a dining heavy area. If you're in the mood for vegetarian or curry but want a lot of food w/o spending much $, this is the place. The only downside is the sameness in flavor of many of the dishes (curries, lentils, potatoes), and some items can be oily. We ordered 2 dosa dinners (dosa is akin to a thin slightly crispy crepe, but really large), 1 uthappam (like a doughy pizza with Mediterranean spices), and a curry dish. All portions were good and quite filling for under $10/each, but the uthappam was a bit oily. Samosas and the mango lassi were tasty but typical. Parking was limited but you can park in the mall lot next door. We saw many South asian groups patronizing this restaurant thus verifying its authenticity. I would definitely be back if in need of a dosa fix. read more

Small, hole in the wall type establishment serving authentic Indian vegetarian dishes. I almost always order meat at restaurants, but I thoroughly enjoyed my vegetarian meal here tonight. The prices are reasonable, the dosa is pretty big, and everything seemed home-made. It's definitely a departure from your run of the mill Indian lunch buffets, but this place is definitely worth trying out if you live in the area and enjoy Indian food! My only word of caution is that the parking lot is tiny. Not sure where you're supposed to park if their 4 parking spots are all already taken. read more

I called them to place a takeout order. The phone rang many times but nobody picked up. So I drove there instead. When I arrived I heard the hostess tell the woman in front of me that they were closed So she left. When I spoke with her I just told her that I just wanted to place an order for take out. She said no they are closed but then asked me how many people was with me. I told her just one. She began to seat me. I said no, again I just wanted to place an order and leave. Not sure why she wanted to seat me if they are closed. it doesn't make sense to seat me if they're closed. I have eaten there before- good food. It's very hot inside- feels like India. read more

Excellent place for uttapams and dosas. I recommend ordering a thali the first time you visit so you can try a variety of items. My daughter also liked the veg biryani. It has the feel of a mostly casual place for families and regulars with occasionally slow service but this is also reflected in the price. I'm happy to pay $10-$20 less than what they could charge for slightly less fancy surroundings and good but not great service. Highly recommended! read more

A unique place. It is a simple place with great food. I had the Hyderabad Masala Dosa and it was outstanding (a bit spicy, just a warning). The coconut chutney and sambhar were delicious. The place reminded of many family run places back home in India, where you go for a quick bite of healthy, delicious home-cooked food. This place definitely reminded me of those places. Took me back for a moment. Service staff is polite and caring. If you are looking for a fancy dine-in experience/ambiance, this is not it. But if you are looking for home-cooked comfort food, check it out. I don't think you will be disappointed. 10/10. read more

A one star. Yes, a 1 star, and yet it could easily be a 5. We love south Indian food, and yet dread going here. The food is middling. Pretty good, but could be much better. This hole-in-the-wall is such an undiscovered gem! It wasn't packed here on a Wednesday evening around 6. They give you room temperature water which was really ehhh but my friend doesn't like ice so she was pleased! My friends and I all ordered dosas. I think D9, D7, and D3. We did the combos so we could try other things with the meal, so it came with a lentil donut, some kind of spicy soup, and chutney that I wasn't fond of. I liked what I got though and was extremely full! Couldn't finish my meal, and for about $11 ish I was totally satisfied. My friends all loved it too! Service is just okay. The guy checked on us a lot but when two other parties were there he seemed flustered. The space is small though. It's a very unassuming-looking restaurant. I'm not sure when it gets busy but I'd stay safe and avoid a Friday or Saturday evening, since there parking lot is insanely tiny! read more
