Beautiful and delicious cake for my daughter's birthday. Everything was great! The staff is wonderful too!! Thank you!

Nope. I'm going to stop coming here. It's only getting more disappointing. The original Levittown location was always fresh with homemade touches to their pastries, I even had my wedding care from there. It's been several years since the commack location opened and I frequently come because it's close to home. In the beginning my pastries very sometimes dry but sometimes good. This weekend, we picked up a cake for mother's day so it had to be fresh. Fast forward, the cake was fresh, too fresh. Designs on the cake were sloppy (which is no big deal, it's a holiday and they rushed, as long as it's fresh moist and delicious). What I didn't want, was these marshmallow looking pieces in my cake. I bought a chocolate cake with ganache, I didn't know it had marshmallow. Oh but it didn't have marshmallows, it was chucks of margarine...lots of it. Every slice had it. How are you going to even present this to customers? Your baker had to have seen it while frosting the cake. There's no care for quality anymore, if I wanted a mass produced cake, I could have gotten a whole sheet for half the price. I think I have given dortoni enough chances to redeem themselves.

Everything for my daughter's bridal shower was just perfect the cake was just what she described and tasted even better. It's really amazing the staff that had that could take her thoughts and make it a reality!! Can't say enough about how nice and professional the experience was !!

I had bought dessert from Dortini twice. My first time was strawberry cheesecake and I really like it. Lots of strawberry topping and the cheesecake wasn't too sweet. Second time I had cannoli cake. The cream was puffy and light. Cannoli cream was too sweet for me and the yellow cake wasn't as good as I hope. Since they have many different types of cake and open hour until 8pm, it's convenience to pick up some sweet after work. Price seems okay for bakery overall ($25-$30). Staffs are friendly. Inside is clean.

someone posted a rainbow cake with cannoli filling on the Long Island Foodie FaceBook group that looked SO good from this bakery. i tried it and absolutely loved it! was around $6 for this little mini cake. i also gotten a small oreo cheesecake from here and vanilla cake with sprinkles all over. those cakes for my birthday were like $23-$26 or something. i didn't need any writings on the cakes but as far as flavor goes, everything was delicious.

Super cute bakery in an unassuming strip mall not too far off the 495. They had some beautifully decorated cakes ready to buy on display but I opted to get a variety of mini cakes and pastries so far their fresh made donuts, the heels filled and glazed chocolate are delicious! Had a mini cannoli while on the road and loved the the filling was not too light and not too thick and had a had a nice vanilla and light citrus flavor to it. Their glazed lemon cookies were a bit dry and crumbly but really packed a huge lemon flavor which I loved. Their mini cakes were very good... Standout was their vanilla and chocolate cake enclosed in white chocolate. From what I could tell, they do a ton of custom cakes, with some advance notice, and one customer ahead of me was buying a cake and was singing praises about the gender reveal cake she had ordered and received the weekend before. Being a specialty cake baker myself, I'll have to order a custom cake and judge for myself soon. Looking forward to my next visit here!

strawberry short"cake", had no cake. just strawberry jam and cool whip

Tastes very cheap. Not quality at all. I got a chocolate mousse. It had a soggy layer of vanilla cake in it. The strawberry shortcake, absolutely disgusting. Way too much sugar. Also, cake was nowhere to be found. It was literally just some cheap strawberry sauce with coolwhip on top. They don't use real whipped cream.

Worth every penny! Cake was a hit and beautifully done.

This bakery is THE BEST. I will not go anywhere else. Not only was the cake beautiful and delicious, but when we went in to order it one little girl there gave my kids 2 free cookies.

I wanted a funfetti cake and the one they had readily available had lovely sunflowers on it. The woman working was so sweet and put some writing on the cake for me. The 6" cake was about $50 dollars which seemed a bit high, but I think its pretty standard for a bakery. The cake itself was very moist and absolutely delicious and I would give it an A+. The cake I purchased for her birthday from another local bakery last year was really dry, so I was pleasantly surprised by this cake. The buttercream frosting was where I felt the cake fell a bit short. It tasted like pure unsalted butter and had almost no sweetness to it, so we ended up just eating the cake center and leaving the frosting. Unfortunate for an expensive cake but based on the other reviews I'm wondering if it was just a one time error. I don't think I would get another cake from there, but the rest of the baked goods and empanadas looked awesome so I will definitely be bake to try those!

He said he's been coming to this bakery for quite some time and his brother always buys a bunch of things when he visits. There was plenty of free parking on a Saturday night and the store itself was brightly lit. Very spacious inside and very clean. I was surprised at the variety and amount of items for sale! Everything was stocked pretty full, especially the cookies and individual pastries. I believe everything goes by weight when you're purchasing the cookies and pastries but if you have any questions, the staff were super sweet, patient and helpful! Hubby purchased an assortment of items like eclairs, cookies, rainbow cookies, cannolis and some sort of Napoleon looking pastry. Although some were a bit on the sweeter side (I have a sweet tooth too), everything was very delicious! I was very surprised that the butter cookies were really good because those are usually my least favorite anywhere I go. The rainbow cookies were also very good! There were no tables and chairs for customers so if you were planning on sitting down to enjoy something, sorry! I did see a small round table with two stools next to it but the table contained their cake binder so I'm assuming it's used for cake related orders.

The best part was when she told me it was $9.75 for this cup of soup with no toppings that didn't even swirl like normal ice cream. After getting pizza from the next door Dominos (the shared lot has about 20 parking spaces and the…read moresupermarket across the street has lots more) on a late Sunday afternoon, I went to the bakery to see what they had: Lots of breads and Italian(!) -style butter cookies, and a few pastries. I selected a flan wedge and a chocolate cake slice, both of which could feed 2-3 people! The clerk asked if I wanted caramel sauce with the flan, to which I said, "What's a flan without caramel?" She used a restaurant-type condiment dispenser to squeeze out a rather thin consistency caramel onto the wedge, but, put a lot on it. By the time I got home, less than a half-hour later, the clear, corrugated, plastic, had "trapped" most of the caramel that had oozed off the flan, and, of which, the syrup had dried/seized to the point of being unusable (the plastic was too thin to safely microwave, so I couldn't get the caramel to liquefy that way). The flan was too eggy and dense for my taste, and not sweet enough, with, virtually, no vanilla flavor. The chocolate cake with white cream was too light/fragile, and there was not enough chocolate taste. The cost for both was about $13, incl tax, which, considering my disappointment in the taste, was not worth it. I might be back to sample their other goods, but, I won't be ordering the flan or chocolate cake, again. P.S. To the reviewer who said, "This place (i.e., Brentwood) is legit dangerous," I have travelled throughout Brentwood since the 60s, by foot, bicycle, car, and train, mostly by myself, and have never encountered anything that could be considered "dangerous."
