Great burger and rings! Best place to get a burger in Perry County by far. Service is also solid!

Stopped at this place by default as we were headed to The Pecan on the corner. We saw the setup (…read moreoutside) and decided we'd stop to look at the menu. After looking, the leaving to go see The Pecans menu, we decided to go back . Upon looking at the menu, I stopped and asked a local her opinion of the food. She said it's pretty good, the chicken salad and the COB sandwich which is basically a chicken tender on a bun with a house made sauce. Mild or hot ( hot is with jalapenos). She suggested another spot but we walked to the counter and was greeted with a smile. After telling the cashier it was our first time in town to get this she began telling us about items on the menu. Suggested the COB and her fav pie . Oh yes, they have pies which we learned that the owner makes them from scratch. So upon convincing us , we got all she suggested down to the pies. I got key lime and the mister got the cashier's fav ( Cookies and cream pie). The pies were good, right crust and the right amount of sweet.. An 8 out of 10. The COB I'm gonna have to be different than the reviews I saw and ya girl has had plenty of chicken tender sandwiches. It was nothing special about it, no seasoning and the special sauce wasn't special at all. Sorry. The bread was soft and I guess that's gotta count for something right ,. The fries were regular fries, nothing to them. I was very disappointed in the COB sandwich after all the hype about it. It definitely gets a 4 out of 10 for me. I ate one half after I put the good chicken salad on it . The chicken salad gets a 9 out of 10 for sure because it was tasty. The only reason it don't get a 10 is because I'd like more mayo but that's a personal preference. Overall it was ok. I enjoyed the service, the inside/outside eating area. If I was in the area and wanted some chick salad, I would stop again for a quick snack on that with crackers.

Ms. Gracie took my order, and she was extremely warm and pleasant. I couldn't decide what I wanted as my second side item, so I listed the ones I was interested in and she gave me the rundown. I settled on yams, and I'm glad I did! I had the chicken tender plate with French fries, a roll, and, as I just mentioned, yams. I had sweet tea to drink and ranch to dip my tenders in. The French fries must have just come out, because mine were so hot and salty they almost melted in my mouth. They were solid crinkle cut fries. My sweet tea was so delicious I got an extra large refill for the road - tastes like a diabetic coma in the best possible way. Ms. Gracie did not steer me wrong on the yams -- they were sweet and buttery and delicious. The roll was a standard, Sister Schubert type dinner roll, but they'd kept it warm, so it went well with the meal. The breading on the chicken tenders was a little disappointing; it didn't stick to the chicken super well and fell away in soft pieces. Not super crispy. However, the seasoning was good -- a little peppery. The ranch was on the salad dressing-y side, but tasted good with the extra hot French fries. There's not a lot of game in town in Greensboro, but Nick's would be worth a visit in a larger town, too. Go check it out!

The food was honestly really good--fresh, flavorful, and definitely worth coming back for. However,…read morethe customer service at the window needs improvement. The attitude felt unprofessional and a bit off-putting, which kind of took away from the overall experience. I believe good service matters just as much as good food, so I hope that gets better. If they can fix that, this place would easily be a top spot.
