I inquired about menu items but we both decided to go with the lasagna, lima beans and sweet potato casserole from the buffet. The young lady made sure we were never without our beverage of choice. We enjoyed our meals. There were not a lot of people dining in but traffic was steady for call-in and to go orders. I plan to return during dinner to order from the menu, eager to try the fried catfish.

This place feels like your traditional mom and pop restaurant where you can get a home cooked meal. When I got there, I was greeted by kind host who took me to my seat. There is plenty of seating to dine in as well as an area to wait with seating for carry out orders. The waitress was waiting on me was also very kind. My food came out quickly, and I also ordered carryout which also came out quickly. I ordered the catfish platter with a baked potato and macaroni and cheese. The fish was crispy and well seasoned. The macaroni and cheese was really good and the baked potato, was your standard baked potato. All of my food came out hot and fresh. The price point here is also something that you cannot beat. I also ordered a half-and-half to wash it all down. The next time I am in Marion, I will definitely be back to this restaurant to try some of their other offerings as well as their desserts.

Staff were friendly and helpful while ordering. Food took a good while to come out; by the time it did, we took a few bites then had to pack it up since they were now beginning to closing. To eat: I decided to try their baked ziti (7/10) I felt like the portion was a little small for them to be an Italian/pizza place and it could've been more seasoned. Also got a side salad (5/10) nothing special and even after repeating what I wanted in the salad while ordering, it still didn't come out correct. Also tried a slice of cheesecake. I was really looking forward to a good hot dinner; unfortunately, I wasn't impressed at all. My overall rate of experience : 5.5/10

Our large order included two rib plates, yet after waiting for almost a hour, with numerous other customers coming in and out, someone from the back finally came out and announced that they had ran out of ribs and the wait for ribs would be a hour long... we had already been waiting for a hour tho ?? The miscommunication / lack of communication from the kitchen had some customers ready to get their money back, but my order of ribs finally came out after another 30 mins ... I ordered a rib and pork plate with Mac and cheese and potato salad as sides (7.5/10) I enjoyed the potato salad the most. The ribs looked big, but there really wasn't much meat on them compared to the size of the bone. Both the pork and ribs were dry and def needed the sauce that was included. The meats with the sauce did have good seasoning / flavor tho. I also tried their banana pudding (8/10). I'd stop back in here when in town again, but next time, eat in the actual restaurant when it's fresh and hot. My overall rate of experience : 7.8/10

We haven't been here in quite a while due to not living in town, but tonight we called in a pickup…read moreorder and while we did enjoy the food and highly recommend this place, I had an "experience" with one of the young ladies behind the counter as I entered the store to pick up our food... I pulled into the large, EMPTY parking lot and parked in a spot directly in front of the store, the spot that's right in front of a huge hole in the lot, and as I walked in and was greeted by a very sweet little boy, couldn't have been a day over 2-3 years old, who was trying his best to make me take his fortune cookie.. but the sweet and innocent interaction was interrupted by an employee that loudly exclaimed, "you whipped that thing on up in here! Clearly you don't care about civilians!" and then disappeared into the kitchen. I'm not entirely sure how anyone could "whip" their car into said spot, especially after just braking and driving through the previously mentioned hole, but I'm mainly curious about the "civilians" she mentioned because like I said, the entire lot was EMPTY. Maybe she's a medium and sees the dead, who knows. If that's the case, it may do her some good to keep that tidbit of information in mind so she doesn't come off as rude or "crazy"... Also - I'm not a complete fool and it irks me enough to continue typing this review, but the blind accusation that I'm a careless person that has no regard for anything or anything but myself once I'm behind the wheel of a car seems pretty wild... especially if she's paid enough attention to actually notice that I was in the middle of a very sweet and innocent interaction with a child, that she interrupted and loudly exclaimed this nonsense in front of the mother of said child, who was trying to check out with another employee and the third employee was attempting to take a phone order... but the fact that she felt the need to say anything at all but then immediately disappeared to the kitchen when she really should've been the person to help me since the other two ladies were busy... but vanished... just added to her negative score she had going.. but I digress.. ‍ I realize this isn't a huge deal but it got under my skin just enough to write this stupid review. If this was my small business, I'd want to be aware of things like this. I do not want anyone to be disciplined but I do think a quick, private chat about customer service and customer etiquette may not be the worst idea out there. Everyone does things different in life but this establishments set up is pretty quick and easy - so the interactions should be pretty minimal and to the point, I'd like to think - empty introductions and end with a general appreciative line or two onto whatever is next. ...I realize that I'm just one random person that took time to type this thing but who knows how many other people would simply never return or simply bring awareness to leadership. ‍ Again - hopefully a random "glitch" and highly recommend this place. Always has great food.
