Stopped at this place by default as we were headed to The Pecan on the corner. We saw the setup ( outside) and decided we'd stop to look at the menu. After looking, the leaving to go see The Pecans menu, we decided to go back . Upon looking at the menu, I stopped and asked a local her opinion of the food. She said it's pretty good, the chicken salad and the COB sandwich which is basically a chicken tender on a bun with a house made sauce. Mild or hot ( hot is with jalapenos). She suggested another spot but we walked to the counter and was greeted with a smile. After telling the cashier it was our first time in town to get this she began telling us about items on the menu. Suggested the COB and her fav pie . Oh yes, they have pies which we learned that the owner makes them from scratch. So upon convincing us , we got all she suggested down to the pies. I got key lime and the mister got the cashier's fav ( Cookies and cream pie). The pies were good, right crust and the right amount of sweet.. An 8 out of 10. The COB I'm gonna have to be different than the reviews I saw and ya girl has had plenty of chicken tender sandwiches. It was nothing special about it, no seasoning and the special sauce wasn't special at all. Sorry. The bread was soft and I guess that's gotta count for something right ,. The fries were regular fries, nothing to them. I was very disappointed in the COB sandwich after all the hype about it. It definitely gets a 4 out of 10 for me. I ate one half after I put the good chicken salad on it . The chicken salad gets a 9 out of 10 for sure because it was tasty. The only reason it don't get a 10 is because I'd like more mayo but that's a personal preference. Overall it was ok. I enjoyed the service, the inside/outside eating area. If I was in the area and wanted some chick salad, I would stop again for a quick snack on that with crackers. read more

We visit Jackson Station every trip we take to Camden, AL. for their catfish! It is delicious, very generously sized pieces fried perfectly. The sides and service are also excellent. I am a 100% DAV and have difficulty walking and every time I order from their Drive-thru window Mrs. Jackson has personally delivered our order to my truck. She is the nicest lady you ever want to meet! We highly recommend Jackson Station. read more

The menus choices were vast ranging from seafood to traditional choices of chichen, beef, and two mouth watering sides. I was quite satisfied with my choice of humongous chicken tenders, dressing and collard greens. Do save room for the mouth watering deserts. read more

Take a detour, its worth it! Saw an article about this place as having some if the best fried chicken in the country. Located in the small town of Camden in Wilcox County, its a beautiful drive and a very pleasant town. The chicken was great, especially the signature chicken sandwich. Having been told by locals to make sure and stop at Jackson's Fried Chicken we stopped here for lunch. We were not disappointed. The chicken salad is fantastic and the fried chicken is as good as I have ever had. The real winner is the Coconut Pie, not coconut creme pie but real honest to goodness Coconut Pie baked right in the southern tradition. I had not had this style since visiting my aunt in Florida as a child. The place is busy and counter style wait on your self service. The wait was not bad and well worth it. The seating area was packed with local workers grabbing a quick lunch. The owner as busy as they were took a few minutes to talk with us and make us feel welcome. Great people, and great food.
