A pretty good Italian style restaurant in Demopolis was a unique find. You order at the counter and they call you back to the counter to get your food when it's ready. For the price, my meal was good and the next time I'm in the area I'll stop by again.

    Pretty dang good!

I don't know why there's so many good reviews on this restaurant this restaurant is so bad the pizza legit looks like no one had no care for what they through out to the server and was like bon Appétit They get what they get I swear I ate a meat lovers pizza on a date with my girlfriend and this pizza is so gross looking im surprised I bit into it was like nothing but disappointment the most greases pizza I've ever ate got are order wrong and we only specified no ham on the pizza thats its not other changes not hard and put it on there extra heavy, the wings though quite nice not gonna lie but could've maybe marinated the wings with there sauce just a tad more maybe but other wise pretty good anyways won't be coming here again please the dough legit looks not even finished I know I'm servesafe certified please don't come gs cant even cook a pizza. Most of these high reviews have to be false and are previous owners of the building trying to boost the restaurant

Baked ziti Was very good. Will be coming back for sure.

The place doesn't look like much. But it is a hidden gem. Stopped by for the first time tonight. The ziti was very good. And pizza was good as well. Will be coming back.

This is going to be a very biased review. I live in Virginia currently, but I am originally from Demopolis. My Mom worked at Mr. G's when she was pregnant with me- so I've been eating Mr. G's since I was in the womb. My friend and I joke that, if something was ever to happen to G's, the city would get government funding to expedite the rebuilding process. Actually, when the original burned down- it took only a handful of months for them to rebuild on HWY 80. It's quick and greasy Italian, but this is clearly my favorite restaurant ever. True comfort Italian- Alabama style. The Po-Boy is great. The ham and cheese is better. My friends in Harrisonburg, VA swear the salads are the best they've ever had (turkey and cheese is my particular favorite). The holy grail of this place would have to be the lasagna (that comes with a small loaf of garlic bread and a salad.) My Mom would kill me if I didn't include the roast beef as one of the best items on the menu. The pizzas are good (BBQ tends to be a favorite), but they are the type of pizza that- if you take a bite, the cheese will slide off of the entire slice and slap you in the chin (which is all fine and good if you like cheese). If you go to Mr. G's, you might as well buy a case of their ranch dressing- it's the best you'll have. Growing up, we bought extra cups and would dip whatever we could find in it. Also, you have GOT to get the sweet tea. It's teeth-rotting comfort and is the pinnacle of true southern sweet tea. Don't miss it- it's cheap and there are no servers. I've loved Mr. G's since I was knee-high to a toad frog and still have cravings.

Got the Bar-B-Que baked potato. It doesn't come with sour cream but you can buy it from them for a little more than $.30 a small packet.

It was ok for a quick lunch. Pizza here is good but the Bar-B-Que baked potato was not what I expected. I want to get or be able to get butter, sour cream, and sauce without a surcharge. People were very nice.

The pizza we got was delicious and hit the spot. We tried this place while we were camping in Demopolis and I'm glad we did.

The spaghetti deal is really good and so is the key lime pie. Anxious to try the pizza.

Packed with pepperoni, sausage, Canadian bacon, onions, and peppers, it came with a red marinara that had just the right touch of sweetness. I only managed to finish half--it was a meat lover's dream, but a little much for my taste. What really stood out was the service. The young lady at the counter was exceptionally friendly, all smiles, and even tried to tempt me into a Cotton Blues Cheesecake for dessert (I almost gave in!). The server who brought my order was just as warm and took the time to chat for a bit before the food arrived. Overall, a very pleasant experience. Next time, I'll be on the lookout for an Italian sub!

There are 20 tables to dine at. Ordering and payment for the food is done at the front counter. Cashier hands you a number and you select a the table. Also, the front counter person will give you a cup and you use the self serve soda dispenser or tea for the drinks. After you have pick your table, a server will bring you utensils and the food. I missed the days when a server brings you a menu, ask what kind of drink and order, and bring the entrees to you. Sorry, I digress from the review. Service - NOTE: 4 Stars -The staff were friendly, pleasant and professional. The server brought out my pizzas while I was waiting. Food: 3.5 Stars for both Pizzas I ordered two different pizzas. There are two sizes 10" and 14". I ordered two 14". The first for the pizzas were New York style (thin crust) and baked in a big oven at a high heat. Luigi's Combo: Pepperoni, Sausage, Canadian Bacon, Onions, Peppers and Black Olives. I added Jalapeños for a little bit of a kick. It was good but I wish the pizza was cooked for a few minutes more so the different meat and veggies were able to have a roasted and charred flavor. Super Veggie: Fried Eggplant, Peppers, mushrooms, garlic oil, and roasted red peppers. Both were good but the Super Veggie was slightly better because of the Fried Egg plant which gave the garlic oil tomato based sauce an extra flavor profile. The crust was thin and chewy. The ends or edge were slightly charred as you would expect. I recommend the restaurant and next time will make time to eat at the place instead of doing takeouts.

Best pizza in Mississippi by far!…read more Their food truck was amazing but now they have a full service restaurant and bar and the food is even more amazing! Award winning pizza dough.... high quality ingredients, and the portion size of the toppings are perfect. We also tried the Philly cheesesteak sandwich which was beyond good. They use their pizza crust for the bread, baked and folder over almost calzone style. The quality of the shaved sliced prime rib is excellent, the meat was incredibly moist, tender, and the sautéed onions and green peppers complemented by their beer cheese made this culinary surprise a solid 10 out of 10. Great portion, priced just right, arrived to the table piping how..... seriously, order this sandwich!!!! Great small-town atmosphere, and the service is exceptional. We were greeted with a warm welcome, a smile, and that friendliness was also extended by our server who gave excellent service, checked back a few times, refilled drinks, and kept us informed about how long our order would take to arrive at our table. The place is worth the drive from Laurel.... Five stars for sure.... go for the pizza, but also try other items off their surprisingly great menu. They also have nice pasta dishes, several salad choices, and an excellent appetizer menu as well. We had their home made pretzel bites with beer cheese, a 10 out of 10... a must! Lastly, their build your own salad is genius. $11.00 is the price... you pick the type of greens and up to six toppings of an extensive list of choices... great value given the size of he salad and the amount of toppings.....
