Definitely the dumbest place I ever been to. Hospitality is amazing clothes are fire. Definitely check out the stop and show love to the local community that does so much for the city of Oakland. For California. It was my first time in Cali and they definitely looked out and told me the dos and don't. Dope Era fasho. Much love, Detroit

Mistah Fab was in the building.! It was good seeing him and Unc. I enjoy supporting my local family bizznesses, especially during this time when companies are struggling to stay open. Also, bizz that support their community in a positive light, continuously giving back. No price tags out, but you also don't ask how much those foreign brands are either. We purchased 2 sling bags and a DE sweatsuit. Just a side note: you never know what someone is going through. Sometimes ask people how they are even if you don't know them; even a smile. It can make all of the difference. Fab did that for me.. and I appreciated him for it. I'll come back for the black sling!

Date: 2/23/2020 Time: 12:15 PM 54° Mostly sunny One of my FB buddies (Cullen B) mentioned Dope Era on his news feed page about two years ago. The old location was 45th & Market Streets, Oakland (North Oakland, babe). I never made it to their shop, but they moved it on up to not uptown but downtown Oakland. If one is an OG Oaktown native or even an OG from the neighboring cities (Berkeley, Emeryville, Richmond, etc.), one knows what I'm talkin' about. Uptown is what it's called now, but this OG still refers to this neck of the wood as downtown. Ya feel me? Ya hear me? LOL Dope Era is located in a space which was once the old Li Wan Chinese Restaurant over 40 years ago. Thereafter, The Hat Guys had their business here, too. I have to admit there were some nice dress hats for men. Move forward to the present. One of my daughter's friends brought me into Dope Era on the day of the third annual Black Joy Parade. Oh, man, this place is hella dope! The friend told me to get something; he was giving me the hookup. Hey, hey!! I'm not gonna look a gift horse in the mouth! I selected an ESO purple & gold baseball cap. I gotta rep the East Side and my high school, Oakland Tech. I told the gentleman helping us that. Lo and behold! He's from Tech CO'2000. It's no wonder he had those purple and gold chaises in the shop. I wouldn't doubt it if he and Marshawn (Beastmode) are good friends. Their businesses are similar in concept - clothing for men, women and children. Looking for a Black Panther Party (est. 1966) tee shirt? Don't look any further. Dope Era carries those tees. Customer service was on point - friendly, helpful and professional. I did not have a whole lotta cash on me and I usually don't pull out the plastic and say charge it. Definitely I will return to browse and shop when I have beaucoup cash in one of my compartments of my crossbody bag. Drawback: Street parking can be difficult, being that it is Downtown Oakland. Garage parking is available around the corner on 19th & Franklin Streets. Public transportation is close by: AC Transit and BART.

I got North, got the East, got the West with me...

YAY AREAAAA! My cuzzo told me that Mistah FAB's shop opened up. We checked it on our way to the museum. Here was our experience on a Sunday afternoon. Ambiance: Parking | Really depends on the time/day and if there are events happening. Generally all street parking and lots. Feels | I had a unique and minimal experience but still a positive one. Surroundings is in the outter rim of downtown so you're still surrounded near the festivities. The space itself was pretty spacious and well decorated. You walk in and you know they're hella proud of the Bay Area. Products: From the limited content I saw, I dig the creativity and the pop culture reference. I need to come back though. Customer Service: Though there was event going on but the guard was respectful, friendly and accommodating rather than just shutting us down. Overall: 4.5 Stars | Solid spot. Good vibes, reasonable price and dope designs. I can see myself coming back here. What was pretty cool is that the event that was hosted/closed down for was a financial literacy workshop for the community...gotta give props for that. For those that are in need of some Bay Area gear, this is the spot. Advice: * Check online for their stuff too

I spoke to a city worker and the city will clean this for free if they ask

I love fabs music and always been a fan. There quality of clothing is bad, there graphics start chipping and fading over time, constantly shrinking as well while always washing and drying correctly. I hate to say but This photo should be a embarrassment to fab and his company. I spoke to a city worker about it and all they have to do is ask to clean the bird poop for free. No other business on Broadway looked like this. Too funny.

Man, I hate to write this because of all the amazing things they do..... but I ordered a t shirt almost 3 months ago June 23, got a confirmation, and it still hasn't even been shipped. I have emailed customer service once a month with no response, DM on IG with no response. The only thing I haven't done is go to the store to complain in person... because in all their store and travel videos not many people are in masks :( I really wanted to start buying more from them, I'm so sad, but this has been a bad experience and I wanted to share. Yes, I have ordered things during covid from all over the country and waited longer than usual, but nothing like this, especially with 0 customer service :(

Excellent customer service. Joked around a little with the guy working in the store and he even gave me a discount for having to wait while he checked in the back for a shirt I liked in the size I wanted. As I was leaving I realized it was Mistah F.A.B. himself helping me out the whole time! Lol. So of course I had to get a hug and a picture. Dope Era, dope dude. Everybody go!!!

The store is spacious and clean. Parking is a pain as it is located downtown. I love the shirt display as soon as you enter. The telephone booth is super cute to take photos. The prices are a little steep, but you really can't find a shop like this that has the bay gear and quality. I can't wait to wear my sweatshirt!
