I've had boots that I adore and bought 25 years ago re-soled and spiffed up like new. I also have gotten Birkenstocks re-soled - cheaper than buying new and better for the environment! My husband's being going to this wash and fold for years. The staff here are so on top of things and they really listen to any and all requests that you may have in regards to your laundry. If you want non-scented detergent - they're on it. If you want no dryer sheets - they're on it. Their turn-around time is great too. We drop our laundry off in the morning and it's ready the next day - beautifully folded and assembled together in the same bags that we dropped it off with. My favorite aspect of this spot is that the owners are always there to take your laundry as you enter and you can tell them exactly what you want. It's lovely to have that personal interaction and we've always been very pleased with the way our laundry has turned out. If you do have any specific requests -def make them though. It's inevitable that things like thin cotton pajama pants will shrink - unless you wash them in cold water/low heat etc. Trust. read more

I can NOT recommend this business to clean your clothes. They are not using any type of liquid or powder to clean the clothes at all the shirts that have rings around the collar have the exact same rings around the collar and cuffs. True you should pre-treat your collars wish I had been. My white clothing was just as dingy as when I dropped it off to them. I doubt they're using anything except water. I washed the clothes myself and they were 100% better than when I drop them off at Doo Wash. I spend an average of $45 per week to get this done and I can do a better job myself at half the price. In conclusion they are not the only wash and fold business in this area who is doing that. I find it impossible to believe that I am the first or the only person to notice this. I have been coming here for years and couldn't be happier with the service I receive. it's the perfect one stop laundry spot. Wash and fold doesn't seem like a life changing service but ask yourself how much of your free time you waste on laundry a month and how valuable your time actually is to you. Dry cleaning and laundering/pressing are all available here too (well back when i wore those kinds of clothes in the long-long-ago-before-times) It's also a UPS drop-off point so whenever I have to return stuff to amazon I bring it with me when I drop off my laundry every few weeks. The hours were great too when I actually went into an office. I do recommend pre-treating with a stain stick or something similar if you have super dirty items (lookin at you Chris W.) as I doubt they are going to inspect every inch of your dirty stuff before it goes in the machines. read more

My boyfriend and I started going here out of convenience due to the location. Now I'm willing to take my dry cleaning all the way near my work if it means I will actually get my clothes back clean and in good condition. Multiple, multiple times I have thoroughly inspected my clothes after getting them back from Doo Wash and they still have cat hair on them, still have stains that can be easily removed and one time, my jacket even smelled like cigarettes and no one in my household or building smokes! That same jacket also did not look like it was cleaned what so ever. What made me write this review today was when I was going to put on my skirt for work and noticed, in order to hang the skirt on a hanger, they stuck two safety pins through my $100 skirt in two spots!! Now I have 4 small holes in them. I'm done with you Doo Wash!! To all old and new customers, I would seriously consider thoroughly inspecting your clothes and smell them to make sure they were actually washed. But do it THERE so you can tell them and show them if they are not to your standards! They're not cheap so they better give you the service you pay for! read more

For $20 I can get 4 loads of laundry washed, dried, bleached (if I so choose), scented (dryer sheets, not doo stink), folded and wrapped into nice little blue papered packages. Can't really give them any less than this because I have a mail box here and if I said anything bad and Stanley sees it, I am sooo screwed. Stanley is the owner of this place with his mom, Shirley. I've known them since they were over at 817 Columbus Ave. I think that was the old addy...I was also an employee at that location. Waaaay before they had to move to their current location. The old location was better. It had a cafe who's owner was like a Chinese Nazi. And they had a couple of games and a pool table with a couple of pinball machines. And it was a wash and fold as well as dry cleaning and drop off. The Nazi was this weird lady. Was a bitch and always complaining. She also spied on us when she already went home. Apparently, she spies with binoculars from where she lives. Totally insane. I love the fact that when I was working in the Bakery Dept. at Safeway, she would come by when the bagels were on sale and try to use a rain check for them. Sounds kosher but her rain checks weren't. She would have us write them for 20 dozen and she would buy a couple dozen at a time telling us to give her back the rain check with the modified amount that she had left on the top so she can use it again. Totally defeats the purpose of a rain check. And the sad part was she was using our Safeway bagels to pass off as Noah's bagels...Totally deceptive. I also hated folding the clothes...Especially when it came to womens panties. For two reasons. One, how the fuck are you supposed to fold them correctly when they're made of such minimal amounts of cloth? And two, it pains me everytime I see the person that owns the panties don't look like they should be wearing them...I mean, a good majority were really hot chicks but the rest were skanks that think they were hot shit because they bought something from Frederick's of Hollywood of VS. That just brings back awful memories...*shudders* But, back to the story at hand. I love this place because it gives me a place to have my packages mailed to me without me having to sign for them at home. Which means I can pick them up after work at my own leisure. Very nice. So convenient and inexpensive! I could spend the money on a few loads of laundry, usually $3 to just wash a load in a small washer, then dry everything, then invest the time to fold it all OR I could drop off my laundry and pick it up the next day. Hmmm... Doing it myself would probably cost about $20, plus a few hours hovering around in an ugly laundromat and finally folding clothes. Instead, I drop off my clothes and pick them up for only $30! Considering the time I saved, then the effort and boredom I avoided, that's a huge win for me. This was my first experience using a wash and fold service. I decided to give Doo Wash a try because I had a few out of town guests and had a lot of bedding and towels to clean. The staff is friendly and my pick up time was for later in the day. All my items look and smell clean and are cat hair free (I have a very furry cat). Also, the Yelp info says this business is cash only, but I paid with my Visa debit card. My only issue is parking -- it would be awesome if they could get a drop off zone in front of their business -- like other businesses in the area. I'll definitely use Doo Wash again! read more

I mean, honestly, five stars for the hours alone. This is the easiest, most convenient dry cleaners that I have ever dealt with. I saw the review a few years ago about writing on the collars of dress shirts to identify them, which had me a bit concerned about going here. Regardless, I had to try simply because of how great their hours are. I am happy to report that they no longer write on the collars, but do hide a few letters in fine sharpie on the inside part of the lower buttons, the part you tuck into your pants. No biggie. Good turn around, great hours, clean clothes, not terribly expensive, but not terribly cheap. Overall, what you would want from your cleaners! I've been to Doo Wash several times for dry cleaning, and their service has been ok. This past time I went here, however, my shirts were returned to me with writing on the collar. I asked why this was, and the person said that it was to identify the shirts and that this was standard practice, even though I've never had this happen at Doo Wash or any other dry cleaner. Additionally, when I get home and more thoroughly inspect my shirts, I find that they haven't even been washed! The stains I told them about when I took them there initially were still there. And this isn't just one shirt; this is multiple shirts. It's as if they took my shirts, ironed them, and then returned them to me unwashed several days later. Now I have several shirts that are in even worse shape than they were before I paid to have them cleaned. As you can imagine, it's quite frustrating. read more

I loved getting my towels,etc. wrapped in blue paper, and everything was nicely folded. Also, doing your laundry there nice.
