Open 24hrs. Friendly service. Don't expect weird "gourmet" flavors at $3-$4 a pop. These are traditional flavors at about $1-$2. $13 for a dozen. These hit the spot and didn't break the bank. Would definitely recommend and will be back! read more

I picked up some Old Fashion Donuts from this donut shop. I went for the covered with a maple frosting. The old fashion donut had that good fry which gave it a good crunchy texture, yet a nice soft center. The maple frosting was quite good, specifically in flavor, but it was a little on the hard side. By the way, if you like cinnamon rolls, they ones they make here are huge. The lady who served me was very sweet. read more

I bought a box of assorted donuts (with a coupon from a different app) so they had already picked what was in the box. I didn't even get to look until I got home I just noticed it was full. These are THE BEST donuts I have found so far in San Diego. The glaze is just right, no funny aftertaste. There was a donut that was as big as a Sasquatch foot with a delicious apple cinnamon filling. The place was clean and service was quick, but one lady was nicer than the other but who's to say that's not just my opinion. I will definitely buy my donuts here from now on. read more

CASH ONLY. I repeat, CASH ONLY! But they have an atm inside. This donut spot is a bit pricey with a dozen coming in at $15. But customer service is great. The lady added two extra donuts for me because I had to use the atm and didn't realize it was cash only. Very sweet because she didn't have to do that! The donuts a good size. They have all of your basics. Not too much to complain about. Aside from two gentlemen talking about which political leader was going to die next because they're old or belonged to a particular party.....my experience was very pleasant :) lol. read more

My biggest issue with alot of donut places, is that they are "out" of donuts, or more will be made later, when they are usually open late night or 24/7. This donut gem is always consistent no matter what time of day I come and they are always fresh! They have a great variety, and they also have huge donuts if you are feeling mighty! I have a donut shop on the next block from my house and I will go out of my way to Donuts Plus instead because they are the best! Very reasonable prices! Cash only! read more

Some of the best donuts I've hade lately. The glazed old fashioned was perfect. It had that nice crunch on the outside but not too hard with that nice soft moist inside - absolutely delicious. And yes I'm still talking about the glazed old-fashioned doughnut lol. But the chocolate on chocolate with chocolate sprinkles the bomb!!! That was one of the best donuts I've had in a long time. Super fresh, the inside was nice and moist with that nice crisp outer shell with a thin layer of chocolate and then the chocolate sprinkles on top. I don't know how they do it but they just did it well. Cant wait to come back and try more because I know they will likely all be just as delicious. The staff was super friendly. And there wasn't a lot of people in there. The establishment has several tables right in the front and all those were clean and tidy. What more could you need at a donut shop. I'm always on the hunt for good donuts. A place that makes fresh donuts throughout the day. Some of the local shops make donuts once in the early morning and that's what they sell until the next day. As a family who is more likely to consume donuts as dessert, we always appreciate a place that has fresh donuts later in the day. I stumbled on Donuts Plus one evening while picking up dinner in the same strip mall. They are open 24 hours and their donuts are fresh, with a good selection, late in the day. We've been known to drive to Lakeside for fresh donuts, late in the evening. The next time a late-night craving hits, we are going to Donuts plus, for sure!! read more

Me: Hi! What time do you open? She: 24 hours What the heck??? I waited until 7 am to come over thinking that's what time they opened. Yeah, I didn't even bother looking them up because I didn't know the name. I just saw donuts! LOL! That was my first visit to Donuts+. I usually get a dozen mixed donuts and what I love are the complimentary donut holes she gave me...very nice! They make some pretty tasty donuts here! I really liked the custard filled and the lemon filled donuts. Of course, I had to try a blueberry fritter and that was really good! This is a really great place to come to. And it's close to my work which is a bonus! Prices are reasonable too! read more

Came here based upon reviews and was treated with great customer service! Munhckin wanted 2 of the same donut and she made him another one while we waited! It was mid-day so the selection was still a variety but I had my heart set on something maple... she had one left. The apple fritter was super moist and flavorful! I'm pregnant and think about donuts constantly. It's a problem. Came here for the first time and was struck but the old school vibe. I played it classic and got glazed yeast and crumb cake donuts. Both were soooooo good. They were incredibly fresh and the cake donut was so soft on the inside, when they can tend to be on the dry, make you choke if you breathe the wrong way. Really friendly staff. A large selection of donuts available even at 1 pm. They also offer croissants and ice cream. I bought some donuts on my way to work and saved one for my afternoon snack. Love the wide selection and the free doughnut holes when you buy a dozen (and you get 14 really) Bad location as it's usually lots of pan handlers hanging out asking for money and with the liquor store 2 doors down - you know where they go. I appreciate the clean, bright, and organized upkeep of the front of the house. The display cases contain traditional donuts you would see nearly anywhere else. But what stands out are their freshness. Freshly baked at the back of the house, you can slightly see the backdoor baking from the fallen flour, commercial baking equipment, and such from the open doorway that leads to the kitchen. What I like most, however, is the customer service. It's welcoming, friendly, and appreciative of you for being there.

First I was rushed to order while checking out the donuts. Asked what was the Marble Donut and she turned around and said vanilla with chocolate, chocolate with vanilla very fast while shaking her head. The only drinks they had were the ones in the fridge (Starbucks iced coffee). Only had two Ham and cheese croissants.. That combination isn't even in the menu. The two things I wanted which was coffee and egg cheese croissants was not there. Customer service is the reason I would not recommend this place at all. The place is nice and maybe will have a better experience in the morning. AS FOR LATE AT NIGHT, I DO NOT RECOMMEND if you care about customer service.

Right after she told me that, a younger girl also was working there but she was on the sales floor, and I have no idea what she was doing but she said check in the back there and that she saw plain donuts. So, the woman goes to get the plain donuts and I also told her I needed the crumb donut holes. She said what loudly since she didn't hear me. But instead of loudly saying what why wouldn't you ask a customer can you please repeat what you said . Is that asking too much to have manners when dealing with customers? I don't think so. I was taught to have manners and I always hope if you go to a business to spend money the workers will be grateful and nice. Well, this was not the treatment received today. So,she puts the doughnuts in the bags, one bad for the regular plain ones and the other bag for the donut holes . I decide to have a few of the donut holes, but when I looked in my bag they were glazed donut holes and not the crumb that I had asked for two times while she said what to me instead of excuse me can you repeat it. I was so darn upset, I walked out! I will never be coming back to the Santee location again. This treatment was unacceptable! She is not representing Mary's donuts in a way the owner, Mary would be proud . In a competitive world of donuts, I can go anywhere but had chosen this place. I will go elsewhere next time.

Let me start with that I've been a big supporter of Nomad Donuts since the fruition back on 30th street. I used to work with the owner Matt over a decade ago at The Active Network. I also know mistakes can happen and can easily roll with it. That is what makes today's situation extremely bizarre. I ordered a Black 'n Blue sandwich without onion rings, on a toasted rosemary bagel with a small black coffee. My coffee came out first with the wonderful employee with dark curly hair worn in two buns. She called out "Anda", (my name); and handed me my coffee. About 7 minutes later she walked up to me with my sandwich and handed me my sandwich and said, "Here you go, Anda." I said, "Thank you! Have a good day!" and left. I drove home, opened the box and realized it was not at all the sandwich I ordered. Disappointing but things happen. Since I found out with a previous order months ago I'm allergic to an ingredient in one of their sauces, I couldn't risk it. I called Nomad Donuts and spoke with a kind employee who told me my sandwich was waiting there and they accidentally gave me "Anna's" order. I told her I couldn't make it back there and requested a refund. She said no problem and I would receive the refund in a week and apologized again. I said, "No problem, I know mistakes happen and told her to have a good day." Less than three minutes later the supervisor called me back. I missed the call and returned her call immediately. This is where things got strange. She told me the previous employee I spoke with got things mixed up. She told me I TOOK the wrong sandwich. I corrected her and said, "I didn't take anything. I was handed my sandwich." She asked if it was the person that took my order. I said, "No. It was the lovely woman with the dark, curly hair in two buns." The supervisor said, "You're going to get your refund but know we have name mix-ups all of the time so you know for the future. I'm going to talk to all of the staff." I told her, "I told the last employee I understood mistakes happen and I wasn't upset just asking for the refund." The supervisor then said, "You must have misheard your name." I said, "I didn't mishear anything. She walked up to me, handed me my sandwich and said, 'Here you go, Anda.' I thanked her and told her to have a good day." I then explained to the supervisor that it's really strange she was calling me to blame me for their mistake. She said, "I'm not blaming you." I said, "You are. I didn't take anything and didn't mishear anything." She said, "I'm just letting you know for the future." This whole interaction was so bizarre. The supervisor took the time to call me back after I originally called to request a refund politely and kindly and understood mistakes happen. In the process she blamed me for the store's mistake. My questions are: Why did this supervisor even call me in the first place? To blame me for their mistake? To warn me this happens all the time with them to know for the future. An easy fix would be confirming the order with the name. Or was it to try and avoid giving me a refund when they were the ones that made the mistake? I wish I told the supervisor to watch their security footage as that would be proof the employee came up to me. Seems silly over a sandwich but the supervisor is the one who mishandled things. It's a bummer and shocking this is how things were handled. It is especially disappointing as I have been a customer since Day 1 and always knew of Matt to be really kind and hire top notch employees. am only writing this review as the situation has been bothering me since the call two hours ago and thought Matt should know. Unfortunately I will have to think twice about returning moving forward as this was extremely bizarre to me. Hopefully this supervisor was just having an off-day and it's not the norm.
