The building is very old and I'm sure there's some great history. It looks like the interior was recently updated because it was very clean and had great vibes. We ordered garlic beer nuggets, chicken parm sandwich (with Cole slaw) and a medium wilborn pizza. The nuggets were pillowy and delicious, but the real star was this pizza. It was spicy, and the pepperoni was perfectly crispy on top. The other stand out was the Cole slaw! It wasn't too creamy and had a great vinegar note with a little spice as well. The bartender was very helpful, quick and friendly. We will definitely be back and add the foxhole pizza and pub to our regular rotation!

I went to the bathroom before we left, it was disgusting, garbage bin were overflowing , big cobweb going across the top of the wall, the sink should have been scrubbed clean with comet, it was gummy and filthy. Floor was sticky. The bathroom should be spotless, if a business can't keep the bathroom clean, then I don't even want to know what the kitchen looks like. My husband said his bathroom was filthy too. We won't be returning.

He has no explanation for why the site is not updated nor timeframe for when it could be. And this is the guy you got running this place? What a joke. When I point out that false advertising and 'bait and switch' are illegal in the state of Illinois, he just shrugged and walked away.

But when I google Moretti's BBQ pizza, I wasn't wrong, the restaurant didn't serve me what I wanted. Highly disappointed. I'll return, but won't make that mistake twice. I don't even want the leftovers I brought home.

On St. Paddy's day they opened early to accommodate the morning crowd and I was so relived to have an indoor viewing spot since it was chilly. The place was decked out in green and everyone was in a great festive mood. Serves and bartenders were so helpful and on point with the large crowd. 10/10 for the food, the vibes, and the fast and friendly service. Definitely a place you feel comfortable hanging out.

The restaurant is in the heart of downtown McHenry and next to the river. I highly recommend sitting in the enclosed patio. It's spacious, full of tvs, and has a nice view of the river. You can tell based on the menu and confirmed by our server, burgers are their thing. All kinds including beef, bison, chicken, turkey, veggie and fish, some choices are an up charge. The burgers come with a side, some have an up charge. Our server mentioned everything is made in-house. I feel it's a rarity of restaurants to made their food in-house so it made me excited for the food. Everything is reasonably price. I opted for the BFM burger and pickle chips ($2 up charge). The burger was juicy and well cooked. Their burgers are 1/2 lbs so it was big. The pickle chips were crunchy and really good. Portion was huge and worth the up charge. My lunch partner chose Cajun fries and they were crispy and flavorful. Our server was great! She was so nice! One negative, they allow dogs and many people brought their dogs. Since the space is enclosed, I did not like all the dogs while I was eating. It was tricky leaving since the hostess stand is located in the tight entrance and there was a dog right in the doorway. My lunch companion is deathly allergic to dogs. Luckily this dog owner was considerate and moved their dog so we could pass. Other than all the dogs, we enjoyed our meal and would come again.

I recently had knee surgery so opted to buy a VIP Table in the balcony so I didn't have to stand all night. I was glad I did because the band played for over 2 hours and there was also a DJ. The venue itself is dated and carpet and furniture upstairs smells musty, like an older bar. However, the view and sound from the balcony were pretty good, and we had our own little dance party upstairs. It is a walk downstairs to use the bathroom, but we appreciated that there was a bar serving drinks upstairs. During a few parts of the concert, it sounded almost like the song started off key, and we kept seeing the vocalist tap his ear, so not sure if there was an audio issue. There is parking nearby, if you arrive early enough to get a closer spot. The employees here were working hard to get everyone inside, despite the long line. Drink service in the balcony was fast. There is no separate entry for VIP. Just one long line and once you get inside are then brought to your ticket area. In all, I would say we waited outside for close to 30 minutes before we got inside for bag and ID check.
