The building is very old and I'm sure there's some great history. It looks like the interior was recently updated because it was very clean and had great vibes. We ordered garlic beer nuggets, chicken parm sandwich (with Cole slaw) and a medium wilborn pizza. The nuggets were pillowy and delicious, but the real star was this pizza. It was spicy, and the pepperoni was perfectly crispy on top. The other stand out was the Cole slaw! It wasn't too creamy and had a great vinegar note with a little spice as well. My family and I went there about 2 o clock in the day. There was only about 2 - 3 people at the bar. The pizza was delicious, waitress was great. I went to the bathroom before we left, it was disgusting, garbage bin were overflowing , big cobweb going across the top of the wall, the sink should have been scrubbed clean with comet, it was gummy and filthy. Floor was sticky. The bathroom should be spotless, if a business can't keep the bathroom clean, then I don't even want to know what the kitchen looks like. I can't say enough wonderful things about the Foxhole!! The new owners have really turned this place around!! The food is delicious and so fresh. They had not only alcoholic beverages but also THC infused drinks for the people who are California sober like myself. The wait staff is always friendly and attentive. Lovely underground Pub! The entrance is down several stairs, and when we went the seating was open so we sat at the bar to have drinks and some lunch: and when you go you must have the fried curds !! They're fresh, not frozen like a lot of other places, and are soooo good, crispy outside and gooey cheesy inside. I do love cheese, and I enjoyed these so much I had to order another portion D. had a 12" deep pan pizza with all the toppings I can't eat, like pepperoni and jalapeños, so I didn't taste it, but the crust was crispy-crunchy, even the bottom was crispy. It looked so delicious ; if we're up this way again I'll have to have more fried curds but I think a pizza just might have to find it's way to me. The barkeep was really nice, friendly, helpful - I'm sorry I didn't ask her name, since I like to mention people that are great - and made a very good Old Fashion while D. had a large Peroni beer. First time i visited was shortly after opening. The ac was not working so it was hot, server rushed us out and pizza was wrong (had red sauce not the olive oil ordered). I was underwhelmed to say the least. Gave them a second chance today and was pleasantly surprised with how good the food was. pizza was done as requested and was really tasty - love the crust! pretzel bites with beer cheese were yummy too! Fantastic hidden gem!! We're fairly new to the area & stumbled across this place! It turned into our go to for watching Bears games! They do raffles throughout the game & the bartenders are great!!! The prices are high for what you get-$12 for a handful of onions rings! The thin crust pizza is cracker crust; not bad but FYI. The other bar food was standard and the homemade ranch was good. The ambiance was cozy but it was loud and there were too many TVs for the size of the place. If you want to watch a sports event I'm sure this would be a great place to do. While the indoor and downstairs basement setting is pretty cool and the place is old and historical the food here was not very good I was very disappointed by the crust of the pizza and the toppings and sauce were very much disappointing the pizza here needless to say is not very good. Food is decent. Service was wonky. Waitress pretty much ignored us after getting our food. We asked another server for silverware & a spatula. She returned with silverware, no spatula. My wife looked at me & said, "I guess we're using our hands." Also, it appeared either the manager or the owner was walking around the restaurant drinking beer. Not the best look.
