Bought a bike here a few months back. No problems there. Brought it back to about a month later to have the braes adjusted. Walked my bike to the grocery store and locked it up. Upon leaving and getting on my bike I realized the brake pad was almost completely unscrewed and about to fall off. At that point the shop was closed and I had no front brake all the way back tot Loma Linda. Not cool. When I made it back to the store a few weeks later to have them adjust my brakes which I myself repaired and was some reason met with the most hostile response from Mike the mechanic. Immediately became aggressive and lecturing. I am not sure what I could have said, but if you are looking for a shop where they apparently aren't very careful, you are made to feel dumb and are treated like sh*t, then look no further. 2 years ago I won a gift card valued at 25$ to don's bike for shop (then the only location was in Rialto) which I had no occasion to use as I live in Redlands. Fast forward 2 years and they opened up a shop less than a mile from where I live. I had heard they were open so I wanted to take the opportunity to use my gift card. I walked in and looked around. I will say the staff appeared helpful, but everything went down hill from there. I found a bicycle wallet valued at 19.99 I went up to the counter where I was helped by the store manager. He explained to me that my gift card could only be redeemed at their Rialto location. He also explained to me that 13$ was the remaining balance on my card! I asked him if the card had depreciated as it had gone unused for just under 2 years, he said that it should not. He then offered to sell me the wallet at a discount! What a slap in the face as I do not have the time or inclination to travel down to Rialto, to be told that not only was my card useless at the location closest to me, it was worth just over half of the amount advertised in the raffle! I can only guess as to why the card was worth just over half the advertised price, but the pessimist in me chalks it up to a bait and switch tactic. What a sham. read more

Don's Bike Shop is a great place! They make you feel welcome with outstanding service, expertise, and attention to all the details with your purchase. This is especially important to me, as Black man, as I often feel invisible in stores. From the moment I stepped in the shop, Scott at the Rialto store made me feel heard and seen, giving me all the service that I could possibly need. That is why I drive all the way from San Diego to make my bike purchases at Don's Bike Shop. My son and I were on the hunt for inner tubes for his bike.We went everywhere! Target, Walmart etc. The inner tubes my son were using were by Bell, and they were crap! However no retailers were carrying the size he needed. We tried Hector and Milena bike shop in Fontana on Foothill on Wednesday at 1pm but it was closed! So I remembered someone who helped me at Walmart mention a bike store in Rialto on Riverside. I googled it and came up with Don's. I drove out there, but my Waze app told me I was at my destination (I still had a way to go before I reached Don's). I called Don's and the friendliest guy helped me out by giving me directions to get there. When I walked in we were immediately greeted. As we walked over to the inner tube section a gentleman walked over to assist us. Helped us out in a timely manner. Now, here is where they lose a star, after we selected our product, I went to the counter to check out. A gentleman who was on his cellphone, ignored us as I just sat there. The gentleman to his right had to tell him to ring us up. He took his sweet time. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. Most of the guys in there were great!! They are nice but not very professional. They were eating up front when we got there then in the middle of our sale our sales person stopped and went to take everyone's orders for lunch. Also they don't really budge on their prices. It was kinda sneaky because we got 2 bikes and the person would not tell us how much each bike cost, just the total amount. :/ read more

I'm a 66 yo lil chubby gal with a fractured shimano shift handle on my beach cruiser. Figured I'd be laughed out of any high tech bike shop. NOT Don's ! This place has it all... High end, middle of the road, kids bikes and novelties like tri's and tandems. Friendly, helpful, embraced my problem, fixed it. Totally reasonable prices! I felt part of a cycle family and I loved it. Definitely recommend them to everyone! We even got suggestions for great restaurants and they were spot on! Love you guys!!! read more

Store had good selection. Service was lacking. Employees don't seem to happy to be there and the young ones are incompetent (management lacking the need to train and educate them probably). Mechanics seem over worked and unapproachable (they should move the work stations to the back so customers don't have to hear the profanity from their frustration with stubborn bikes). Considering the shop and it's employees are like liaisons to the cycling community, its sad to hear that they talk down about local bike clubs and it's members, but don't have a problem taking their money while smiling at your face. I've been a happy customer for nearly ten years and loyal to the Rialto shop, however the employees at Redlands have changed all that. After spending thousands and thousands of dollars (we all know how expensive the sport is), I will no longer purchase or support the business. Rialto I still love you guys but you have let the Redlands team run a muck and we must now part ways (tear). I will take my future thousands that I planned to spend else where along with my friends and family. Good luck guys and if you think I've been somewhat unfair then I encourage you to check them (Redlands) out for yourself. Wow! Have I died and gone to bike heaven? Don's Bike shop has excellent, knowledgeable, and friendly customer service. I went in to get clip pedals added to my bike and received a full tutorial on how to safely clip in and out, as well as free training. This will be my first time using clips, but after talking with Scott, I feel confident that I won't fall. Scott made sure to teach me the proper techniques and allowed me to practice right in the shop. I'm very happy to be a lifetime customer and when I'm ready for an upgrade, this will be the place I will purchase my next bike. read more

I have been traveling to Rialto for years because Don's service and people make such a huge difference.... I am so happy they are now in Redlands and I am glad to report that many of the Rialto staff now work in my hometown store. As for the guy with the gift card... that is so unlike any experience I have ever had at Don's it makes me think you are not being quite truthful... anytime I have ever had a need the staff has bent over backward to make things right including taking a loss to make it correct. Recently I had a Mavic wheel with a broken spoke... it was out of warranty but they said they would try to get push it through anyway... there was a bit of a problem and it took a little time to get the wheel back so instead of making me wait any longer they they rebuilt it themselves with a new rim and spokes and delivered it to my house at no charge... so when I hear that they made a customer angry over a $25 dollar gift card I am more than suspicious as to who wrote the review. Theses guys are great they are all about the customer and I am happy to say that they will keep getting all of my business and I will direct any and all commers to them.. Chris read more

Sales and staff at Don's Bike Shop in Redlands have done a great job in providing service for me. I've been looking for a new road bike and after sharing with them my price point and ridding needs , their staff help me find a 2015 Cannondale Cadd10 105 at a great price. I put a down payment on it and when I went in to go pay it off the bikes happened to be on sale at $100 cheaper than the original agreed-upon price. They honored the sale price, fit the bike for me and held my old bike until I could pick it up later that day. Great shop and I'll use them again. read more

This is a great bike shop. Found a beautiful Cannondale bike, they put it on a trainer and I had two very helpful employees measuring and changing the seat height to find out it was the wrong size for me... Of course everyone loves that bike and they were sold out everywhere. So two weeks later I find out the Cannondale rep, the manager and the bike shop mechanic order me one and now I have a great bike and believe me what a difference the right size makes..wow!
