AMAZING! Having lived in Berlin, I have been looking for a Döner kebab in the US for years, and I've finally found it. Chicago doesn't have it, and the other place in Seattle doesn't have it. This is a legit Döner, just like you'd get anywhere in Berlin. I'd even put this up against the top Döners in Berlin; it's really good and really accurate. The only minor difference is the bread was circular rather than pita-pocket-shaped, so it was a little harder to eat. (All Döner are a little messy; that's normal, so just expect that.) Bread was maybe also slightly softer than in Berlin, but otherwise had the right flavor, spot on, and was the right kind of crispy-toasted outside. I even had a nice Pilsner to go with it. The rest of the experience in this small restaurant is also great. The staff are friendly, the place is clean. The food looks great, fresh ingredients. I'm coming back here often for sure! read more

I was going to rate this place a 4 but it would say i'm a fan and i'm not so 3 stars it is. Came here for a quick lunch to-go and gotta say, I wasn't super impressed. I got the salad with chicken and the chicken was okay (should of gotten the beef/lamb instead) but the dressing was delicious. The salad was plain maybe some onions but mainly lettuce. Might try it with beef/lamb next but for the price you pay for i'd be better off going to Evergreens to get a salad with lots of yummy add-ons and meat for the same price. read more

Very interesting! I appreciate the fact that the folks jumped up to make a couple of sandwiches ~30 minutes before closing. After an evening of amazing comedy, and drinks- a couple of sandwiches were needed. The chicken "doner" was delicious but definitely not a German doner. The falafel was green so again- not quite doner. The bread is very unique- a steamed bun of some sort grilled to crispness with a gentle toothiness remaining. I love the concept and it filled us up in a fulfilling way. but the idea of doner is a slab of meat sliced into a pita with a white indiscriminate sauce. Are doner plate. Falafel didn't have even a pinch of salt. Any Mediterranean falafel has a garlic flavor and salt in it. Couldn't feel the texture of the garbanzo beans. But that's okay. The saffron rice was below par. The fried tofu side was great. Food is not very economical as posted in other reviews. Might prefer a food truck as well. read more

This is my first time trying German street food, needless to say I was not disappointed. I had the chicken wrap and lentil soup. Wrap was an excellent combination of veggies and flavorful chicken. Added on were my two choices of sauce, chili spice to add a bit of a kick and creamy yogurt. They have other home made sauces, that I'll try next time around. Saw this relatively new Doner kebab place while walking back home and decided to try it out. Small place with limited seating, not suitable for large groups. However the Lamb and beef doner sandwich I tried was great. Not the best I ever tried in Seattle (that would be Berliner) but flavor was on point and portion size was big enough for me as early dinner. Also tried their baklava which was just ok, too sweet for my taste buds. Service was great. Good experience overall and worth trying out if you are around Belltown and craving for some Turkish style meat. read more

This was my first meal after touching down. I really enjoy that there are 3 vegan and vegetarian options- tofu, falafel, and halloumi! I got the falafel and it was a little too herbaceous for me (sorry! I know it's supposed to be!) and it was not as crispy as I typically like falafel. Next time I am trying their tofu for sure. That being said, it was a delicious meal! I highly recommend the garlic sauce and the spicy cilantro sauce too to bring your meals up to 1000/10. read more

Really disappointed here. Ordered the fried tofu, because it's the only other vegetarian protein on the menu and it was literally flavorless. I mean tofu isn't typically the on the flavor explosion list but this had no salt, no pepper, no garlic powder - zero seasoning. The salad had no dressing, not even oil and vinegar and the cabbage didn't taste pickled, it was just moist and tasted like plain ole regular cabbage. I was recommended by a friend to check out this new Gyro/Deli shop in downtown Seattle. When my girlfriend and I went there to "Doner Box" I noticed they had a Grand Opening banner up so this place is a brand new shop. We walked in and were greeted by a very nice female. I told her that a friend of mine recommended this establishment to try and that I never really eaten a gyro before. She was a very knowledgeable about this food category and I was really shocked because she was Asian. I asked her how do you know so much and she replied "I was born in Czechoslovakia". After that I asked her how she got into doing Gyros because I figured most Asians would go eat an Asian cuisine but nope, this one didn't. She told me a little about her background and how she went back to Czechoslovakia to visit her family and actually trained there to make and master the art of Gyros. At that point I was really hungry and started looking at the menu and also looked around at what other customers there ordered. I decided on the Doner Box with Chicken and a side of salad and some fries. My girlfriend ordered the Doner Sandwich. Our order came out pretty fast and took about 5 minutes. The food looked really good and smelled even better haha. Mine was in a box with saffron rice, the seasoned chicken, lettuce greens, onions and tomatoes. The seasoned rice came with a special dipping sauce that was so good!!! The salad came with a vinaigrette sauce. Everything tasted nice and tender and the seasoned chicken was so delicious!!! My girlfriend had the Doner Sandwich and the bread was baked so perfect with that type of crunch that everyone likes. I was really impressed with the food there and next time when we come back, imma have to try the Doner Sandwich myself!!! Overall this establishment was really clean, very friendly and knowledgeable staff. You can definitely tell they all take pride in their work because most restaurants and food places, it seems like employees don't even want to be there. Everyone here were all smiles and seemed like they work well as a team start to finish. I give this new place a 2 thumbs up, definitely a very good recommendation!!! This is by far the best Döner/Gyro/Shwarma I ate in Seattle. I first tried the chicken, then beef/lamb with different sauces. Both great. They sell genuine pistachio baklava from Turkey, i.e., not the supermarket variety with peanuts and cinnamon. That's hard to come by even at Turkish restaurants. This place is amazing, as a German I get a the craving quite often for a good Döner or Dürüm. Döner box definitely meet and exceed my expectations. I've tried the other Döner places in Seattle and they just don't get close to how it is back home. After my first bite I was in heaven, it took me straight back to being on the streets In Germany picking up a Döner for 4-5 euros. So if you have a craving for home, need some of the best drunk food, or just want to try something you never have before I recommend coming here for some killer food at a good price. read more

Love the doner ( shawarma ) at this place. The owner is from Chech Republic but has experienced the Turkish-German doner and brought it to Seattle. For the ones who know, Turkish immigrants in Germany managed to find the perfect recipe for doner and I am grateful to have it available here in Seattle. Definitely try it with the garlic sauce. This is one of the worst experience ever eating Doner Wrap. The quality of the meat is just very poor. It was cut in dices and maintained warm in a box. I watched chopstick travel on YouTube and they were in turkey eating Doner kebab and though it looked so good! since I can't really travel to Turkey or Germany at the moment I decided to look on yelp for doner kebabs here in Seattle and I found Doner box. I was in Belltown this morning and decided to go try Doner Box. This my first time eating Doner kebabs, and it was amazing! I arrived 10 mins before they opened and they had the door open already. I was greeted by friendly smiling staff! The atmosphere is great clean, bright, great decor and, smells great. It was my first meal of the day so my wife and I decided to share a sandwich, we got chicken, standard fillings, garlicky yogurt sauce and, chili sauce. It was amazing! Loved the soft crispy bread, fresh veggies, perfectly cooked chicken. Sauces were great also tied everything together. I had no complaints. I also got baklava a which was also really good.
