My name is Rea Vance, and I worked as the secretary at this company from July of 2024 to Feb 2026. My time there gave me a firsthand look at both the challenges employees face and the realities customers might not see.
Although the company advertised emergency 24/7 service, official employee hours were from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Employees were often expected to continue working after 5 p.m. to answer calls, without additional pay. Holidays were unpaid, and no vacation time was provided. I was never able to take the full one-hour scheduled break, as I was expected to be available at the phones at all times. On one occasion, after briefly stepping away from my desk, I was instructed by Jurgen Domi to stay home the following day. This resulted in a lost day of pay. I was also told to stay home if calls were missed or not answered on the first ring. Owner Jurgen Domi emphasized maintaining a strong online rating, and employees were encouraged to leave positive reviews.
In my experience, subcontractors were used on all projects, while customers were sometimes given the impression that work was completed entirely by directly hired employees. Customers were occasionally asked to approve additional work beyond the original estimate on the same day, and employees encouraged customers to make quick decisions regarding these additions. I recommend reviewing estimates and change orders carefully.
While employed, I experienced repeated conduct from senior employee Miguel Zapata that made me uncomfortable. These incidents occurred in front of other employees, including a manager, and I verbally objected at the time. My discomfort around him was apparent to those present. Despite this, the working dynamic did not change.
My employment with the company ended on February 1, 2026, without prior notice.
Overall, I encourage both potential employees and customers to ask clear questions about expectations, scheduling, and project scope before committing. I also recommend that customers verify the company's contractor license before proceeding with work. read more
