My experience with Garden State Gutter Cleaners has been nothing short of infuriating. Starting when they showed up unannounced to clean my gutters - not even knocking on the door. And despite there being barely any leaves on the ground or in the gutters. They spent a mere 10 minutes on the job, didn't properly secure themselves, and then hit me with a $200+ bill. The frustration only escalated from there. When I tried to communicate with them, I was met with glacial response times. It took from Friday to Wednesday just to get an email reply. And when I questioned the crew about their unexpected arrival, they claimed it was scheduled - something I have no recollection of, nor was able to find any correspondence. The cherry on top of this disaster sundae? When I asked them to look at a simple downspout connection, they quoted me $700. It felt like a blatant attempt to overcharge and like they didn't even look at what I was asking them to fix. But the worst part was yet to come. In my attempts to address these issues, I was met with combative responses from both their customer service team and the owner. Instead of acknowledging their mistakes, they: Blamed me for not monitoring their work (while I was on a business call) Made me feel like I was the one who screwed up Took an aggressive stance rather than trying to resolve the situation What I wanted was a gutter cleaning service that would: Communicate clearly about appointments Provide quality work when it's actually needed Take my best interests into account Instead, I got a company that seems more interested in fleecing customers than building trusted customer relationships. Needless to say, I can't recommend them. In fact, I'd advise avoiding them like the plague. This experience has turned a simple home maintenance task into a major headache. read more

I have used other gutter cleaning companies before and I chose to stay with Garden State gutter cleaning. Someone in town (a friend) was having work done by them and so I took down their number. I have read all the reviews and complaints and all I have to say is getting your gutters cleaned always depends on the weather! The first time I used them, they told me they would be out within the next 2 weeks. When they didn't show, I simply called them and they explained the weather has put the schedule behind (I got it...it rained an entire week) and they just weren't in my area (central Jersey) until next week. I was fine with it knowing they did not charge my card for the service yet (Which I will add is how every gutter cleaning company I have dealt with does it).They did show within the next week...and because it was summer I was not staying home to "watch". They showed up, cleaned the gutters and did not leave a trace of garbage behind. I appreciate the fact Mike follows up on his work via email. They are easy to contact and deal with. I have also made a service request to be put on the schedule in late fall because of the amount of trees we have. In the experiences I have had with them, I would absolutely recommend them...and I'm a tough costumer! read more

What a way to start off 2023. Garden State Gutter Cleaning Company - WE ARE DONE. (1) Call to make an appointment and no date/time is given. They just show up whenever. Who does this? (2) Owner is unreachable, with no accountability. (3) The service is horrible and your home looks like a disaster area when they leave. They left a complete mess. My house looked like a construction crew just left. (4) They claim they found some problems and they want to fix them. The problem is how can you fix anything when you cannot even take care of the service you were hired to do in the first place? This is the oldest trick in the book. Its to rip you off. My house looked like a bomb hit it. Thanks to you. Now I have to a real company return to clean up the mess your company created. My advice is - do not do business with Garden State Gutter Cleaning Company because they will leave your house looking like a New York City GUTTER. I just want to thank the brilliant owner of Garden State Gutter Cleaning for leaving debris, black dirt, and a ton of leaves from the gutter all over my property. These guys do our regular gutter maintenance. We are happy with the price and they do what they come here to do: clean out the gutters and the downspouts *and* report back on any issues that need to be addressed. Scheduling couldn't be easier: I get a call from them every six months and I say, yes. They do the job at some point over the next few weeks while I'm at work, and a couple of days later I get the invoice. The repairs they have done for us have been raised as issues after a cleaning by their office. The work order they send by way of a request is a little vague, but if you call them they have sufficient information on hand to explain exactly what the problem is. Once I have agreed to the work being done, the process is the same. They come when they are ready (I never see them because I'm at work) and invoice a couple of days later. Zero inconvenience for me. Both the major repairs they have completed for me are in places where I can actually see what they have done, and I am very pleased with the result. No complaints from me at all and I'd be happy to recommend them to anyone. read more

My experience with this company was great. I spoke with Rob in the office who answered all of my questions. Once the men arrived they were very knowledgeable and took the time to show me why I had water coming inside my house. I was provided with a free estimate and then decided to go ahead with the work. Of all the companies I called they were not only the cheapest, but provided me a full itemized, detailed estimate I could actually read and understand. Sometimes its tough as a homeowner to understand all of the industry terms but they did a great job. I gave them the go ahead and they returned a few days later with all of the material to do my job. I have colored gutters so they matched everything so I did not have to pay a painter to come back and paint what was installed. So far the gutters are working great and I was very happy I called these guys. I just scheduled to have them return in the spring to clean my gutters this way everything continues to work and look great! read more

We've used GSGC for about 5 years, and they're the only company we trust. Today's service was perfect - the crew was careful with our gutter-toppers, cleaned up all the debris from the yard, and made sure to address all the corner gutters that need extra attention. This company also evaluated our existent gutters, and upgraded the ones that were too small for the size of our roof. Since then, no more overflow during big storms. As for customer service, they listen to your concerns and work quickly to address them. Everyone from the owner (who came out to the house for the work proposal), to the service crews, to the office crew have been very professional. I have been a client of another large gutter service for many years. After signing up again for another multi-session contract, they contacted me and indicated they had quoted me in error. I asked them to honor the signed contract and they refused. So, i went searching for an alternative. I found Garden State Gutter Cleaning via a quick online search (I shotgunned my business to several companies). They responded quickly and with a reasonable quote (much more affordable than my original provider that was actually trying to raise my rates). I have been using Garden State Gutter Cleaning for 8 years, twice a year for cleaning. It gives me peace of mind to know that they will be there the week scheduled and that the work will be completer properly and well. On one visit, they found a problem and left me a quote. They were there the next week to fix it. Recently, I had some other issues and they came out within two days of my call - both times. Great experience from the first email to the finished product! We had gutters replaced that had been damaged from storms. Pricing was very reasonable but more importantly they did a great job. Chris and Mike returned emails within hours and when squirrels got into our attic because of the damaged wood they expedited our job and sent a crew the next day. Carlos and Freddie showed up early and quickly finished the job within hours. They even offered to take away one of the damaged 36' gutters I had thrown in the woods last year! The men performing the gutter cleaning did an outstanding job and cleaned up the property around the house very thoroughly. The price was very reasonable compared to other companies. No doubt, I will use this company again, but would like to see better customer service. On the negative side, the company needs to do a much better job arranging a service date, and letting the customer know whether it will be an AM or PM service. I also requested a call before arrival which was not done, since I had dogs in the yard and needed to crate them before entering the yard. Thankfully I happened to be home. read more

Just for the record, I'm probably the lone 1 star rating of Garden State....after speaking with Michael of Garden State on the phone all was resolved to my absolute satisfaction....they came to my house immediately , did their usual and expected great job cleaning and servicing my gutters and I am very happy with the result. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to use them for anything gutters and look forward to getting them back in he Spring on a regular schedule to keep my gutters in good shape. I was referred by the painter, painting my house to call these guys. I called them on Monday to give me a price, since my painter is starting next week. They came Monday gave me a price. I asked to be rushed since I need gutters done so my new paint does not get ruined. They finished the job Wednesday and I am very satisfied with their scheduling, the quality of the work and their ability to accommodate my tight schedule. They make every effort to make scheduling easy, especially in view of varying weather conditions. I have been using Garden State for the past 10 years +. They are reliable and always show up when they set an appointment. Gutters are cleaned and flushed out of all leaves, dirt and twig each time. Best part of their work is that they clean everything up so that there is no trace that they were there. They always call me to remind me that a cleaning is due and they also call to remind me that they will be there the following day when I have an appointment. read more

Last week my gutter came down in the storm. I called them Friday. They arrived Monday and gave me a written estimate and completed the work the same day. I have used them to clean my gutters. They are expensive but have come back when I am not saatisfied. My major problem with them is that they refuse to take a check. I have been a customer for years. I understand some people bounce checks, but I don't think long term customers should be penalized. read more
