We had 3 roofs to be replaced, the main house, the standalone garage, and a flat roof, part of an extension to the house. The job was projected to take 2 days, but they finished in 1, promptly starting at 7:30 am and not leaving until 7 that night. Crews kept moving in and out all day to do different parts of the job. So it is significant when one discovers a contractor who is legit, trustworthy, and highly professional. Having to replace an entire roof including structural repairs of its wooden beams, new insulation, and re-bricking of the upper portion of the chimney was a major undertaking. We had a contract signed with the business owner Jose from A&C Pena Construction on July 2, 2019 to…read morefully replace all roof shingles in our home, and we paid him a deposit of $4,000 on same day the contract signed. * They were supposed to start the job on Monday, July 15th, based on our verbal agreement; however, they didn't show up on the 15th and I had to call him to find out he said he can't make it because he is still yet finish another job (he never notified us prior to that) so we agreed on starting the job the following week. *We had an issue with our lower level roof (it was a little sagging) and based on our agreement they were supposed to replace the old plywoods on that section and put the new shingles above them but when we asked him the status, he refused changing the plywoods saying that there is nothing with them and didn't even bother to come up with any kind of solution trying to fix the sagging issue, all he was saying that it is too much man power and he has no time to fix that! Whatever we said to convince him didn't work and he kept giving us excuses, so we ended up having a roof with brand new singles but still looks sagging! *They did a terrible job installing the singles on the edges, especially the singles in front of the house looks all crooked! *After they finished installing shingles and he tried to install the new attic fan, but he failed twice and told me he would bring his electrician on the following Monday to install the fan, but no one never came! so we now have a brand new fan but it is NOT working! *They didn't properly clean up the debris from the old shingles and now there are pieces inside the sidings on the second floor which we can't reach and clean them! *They cut the old security camera cables when they installed the shingles but left them hanging on the side of the house and never bothered removing them! *They put their tent on our front lawn and made our green healthy lawn turned to a faded, yellow turf grass! We want others to know how he treated to us after paying everything in cash and paying him even before the job is completely finished (attic fan and other issues still not have been addressed yet!) Business owner kept promising that he will come and address the issues but never ever showed up and kept playing games with us!!!!
