This was supposed to be their Good To Go offer worth $18! Pathetic

Ugh! I went to try this place through Good To Go. Smart business owners know this app is a good way for potential customers to try your business. However, the arrogant owner I interacted with gave me the poorest excuse for a meal he could. It was supposed to be $18 worth of food for $5.99. What I got was a cup of so-so rice, a few pieces of chicken and two small potatoes cut in two. This cheap, miserable offering wasn't even worth the $5.99! Don't wasn't your money here. Customers not important here. Lots of competition nearby.

Tasty, fresh and plentiful. Ordered take out chicken donair bowl and was surprised how much food was included for the price. The ingredients were great, the chicken and the sauce wonderful. I was looking for something to break me out of the pizza or fast food rut and this did it.

I'm sooo happy we have a Donair Dude on the North Shore now. Lonsdale Ave is cool but now it's even cooler. There's Donair Dude. I had chicken with all my add ons and it was delicious! This location presses them on a grill which makes it easier to eat. It's easy to hold. Unfortunately I've eaten here two more times after my first visit, and both times were disappointing, tasteless, and non satisfying.

Another new restaurant that opened on Lonsdale recently. Love that you can get the wraps in pita or tortilla bread. I ordered the Lamb wrap in spinach tortilla bread. The donair was amazing and very filling. Their spicy paste and sweet sauce are nice touches. Bright airy place with decent seating space. Will definitely visit again when craving middle eastern food :)

Best Donair I've had! They are not selfish with any of the toppings or tzatziki. Load me up every time for a great price, highly recommend.

Clean, delicious and friendly staff. The falafel pita is a must try. I go there at least once a week.

Not as good as the last time we came. Food was good overall but service fell short somewhat…read more Came here with family. We all ordered our own individual dishes. I just had an Original Gimbap and a Vege Gimbap for myself. It was a hot summer's day so I just didn't feel like ordering hot food. Everyone else ordered hot food though. My daughter has been getting into Tonkatsu at Japanese restaurants for awhile now. So when she saw Chicken Katsu on the menu here, she decided to give that a try. It was just OK for her. No comparison to any of the pork Tonkatsu dishes that she's been having at Japanese restaurants. She still ate it all up though and it was a huge portion. Other dishes on the table included Seafood Noodles, Pork Kimchi Stew, Soft Tofu Stew, Fried Chicken, and Kimchi Fried Rice. My one gripe would be that they took a super long time bringing out my daughter's Chicken Katsu. Everyone else had their food for quite awhile but she sat waiting and waiting for her Chicken Katsu. When we asked about it, they said it was coming soon. But that's what they always say when you ask about something that's taking a long time to come, right? Wondering if they actually completely forgot about it and then put in a rush order at the kitchen when we brought it up.

Great little neighbourhood spot for Korean food at lunch…read more I stopped by with coworkers and this place is a solid 4/5. Favorite item was the pork belly with kimchi. It's over fire on a hotplate/pan with the meat all around and kimchi in the middle. Perfect with rice or on it's on. The Japchae had plenty of beef and veggies. The potato noodles weren't overcooked and was a great consistency. The seafood tofu soup was favorful with clams and mussels. The raw beef was too frozen and needed to sit out longer. However, the flavor was still good, but I don't know if I'd order it again. The service was excellent and attentive.

We waited about 10 mins for a table on a weekend around 12:30pm. #1- blood sausage and organ soup: you can choose the spice level for this one and we went with mild. Probably could go for medium next time. It came bubbling hot and was served with rice. The soup was flavourful and comforting. The blood sausage was wrapped with an intestine which is something I haven't had before. So this was unique. The organ meats were tender as well. Seafood pancake: on the pricier side but I can see why. It was served piping hot and super crisp. It had plenty of seafood and even glass noodles inside. Again, a unique touch. The pancake was not sought at all and the seafood inside was tender. Banchan: kimchi radish was solid and refreshing. The fishcakes were marinated in something different than other places and was tender. Very delicious! The last banchan I'm not sure what it's called but it's also kind of a pickled onion and veg sort of thing. Overall, a really good meal and I'd definitely come back when I'm in the area and craving something comforting. Service was good and food came out quick.

Make sure you try the lobster bisque as it's one of the meatiest I've had to date; full of that shellfish flavour. The French onion soup is an eye catcher but the broth could use a bit more richness and flavour. Beef bourignon was suggested and I'm glad I took the friendly waitress' recommendation as it was a warm hug on a deep plate. I'd opt to swap for roasted potatoes instead of the mash but the mash does soak up all that delicious stew. The jambalaya is full of different proteins and if you're a fan of that, then I'd make sure to eat this perfectly cooked rice dish. I finished off with a banana bread pudding which was exactly that, banana bread in that bread pudding form; Personally I was hoping for bread pudding that was banana flavoured but it was still ooey gooey goodness. Burgoo should be packed to the brim with this menu for these prices and the friendliness of the staff!

We have been frequenting this place since long before Covid, but have never reviewed for some…read morereason. We must like it, we even bought their cookbook to try some of the recipes, especially the Fondumental, which dragged us back there again and again. It wasn't nearly as plentiful or as yummy as we remembered it, but it's still good. The sandwiches and soups have always been rib sticking and tasty. The ambiance has remained the same over the years, a little dark, but the fireplace and the vintage posters are cool. Our server Gary was excellent, Johnny on the spot with all that we were looking for. Their wine and beer is all local, which is a thing these days. My lobster bisque with the FAB salad hit the spot, and the bread piece was exceptional. The lovely K had the onion soup which she liked although said it could use a little more salt. If you want to enjoy a hearty meal on the North Shore down by the water, but not on the water, give it a try, you will not be disappointed!
