Yesterday I visited this spot after many years! I remember celebrating my 34th birthday here many moons ago. We sat on the rooftop! I don't remember there were this many stairs, but we made it there eventually. It was a nice vibe on the roof! Music was good and the weather was great. Since this past Friday was National Tequila Day, we got margaritas. I got a frozen mango margarita and he got it on the rocks. Both were good but to me the frozen was better. It was a beautiful day outside, and I was in the mood for a rooftop happy hour in the area. I came to Don Tito's expecting just that, but I was met with disappointment. I found free parking nearby, but it's a very crowded and mostly paid parking area. When I walked into the restaurant, I wasn't greeted too warmly by either of the hostesses. I asked if the rooftop was open, and they answered yes and directed me to the staircase past the elevator. I did try the elevator, but it wasn't working. When I got upstairs, I found out the rooftop was enclosed. Why have a rooftop at all if you can't feel the elements? There was also a foul odor I didn't want to smell while I was eating. I went back downstairs and asked if I could eat outside. They said yes and that it's bar service. The 1st floor was very picturesque with an elegant bar and flat screens throughout. The bartender was pleasant. I ordered a mango margarita, 2 beef tacos, 1 carnitas, mango habanero, and BBQ wings. The prices were pretty solid for Happy Hour. The margarita paired well with my I enjoyed the carnitas taco the best, and the mango habanero wings were great. read more

I visited Don Tito in Arlington for a friend's birthday happy hour and went in with high expectations since she always speaks so highly of it. Unfortunately, my experience didn't quite live up to the hype. Food & Drinks I ordered a chicken taco, ground beef taco, and chicken wings. The wings were fire -- perfectly cooked and I loved that they give you one of each flavor, which was a nice touch. The ground beef taco was decent and had some flavor, but the chicken taco was a miss. The chicken was dry and lacked seasoning, which was disappointing. I will say, I appreciate that they actually offer real happy hour specials on both food and drinks. That's becoming rare these days, so credit where it's due. Service ‍ Service was subpar at best. I understand we were a large group, but the servers assigned to us weren't very attentive. We often had to rely on bar backs just to try to track someone down, which wasn't very effective. It made the experience feel a bit disorganized. Ambiance The space is huge with three levels, including a rooftop, which I can see being a major draw on busy nights. It definitely has a fun, lively vibe and is great for groups. Overall Between the inconsistent food and lackluster service, I don't feel a strong need to return. There are better Mexican spots in nearby Crystal City with stronger happy hour offerings and more consistent quality. read more

I thought that margarita and the queso and chips are really good especially for the price that we got we came here to celebrate my friend's birthday and it was really nice and chill. Don Tito's brunch is a pretty cool vibe. I enjoy the vibrant environment they create. It's February and snowing outside, but we managed to sit on the enclosed, heated rooftop. The food was decent. I can describe this place as just your average tacos nothing too special or out the ordinary I ordered the el gringo (the seasoned beef taco) to me it tasted very similar to Taco Bell, i also ordered the shrimp and bacon taco i like the crunch the bacon added to the shrimp and slaw. I also very much enjoyed the tortillas. My pals i was with described their food as "okay" and "it's something to eat." They ordered a quesadilla with steak and chicken and the garlic parm wings. Ever was my boyfriend and I's server last night. He was so helpful with the menu and friendly. He made me a spicy strawberry margarita that was DELICIOUS!! Birria tacos are my favorite foods and I try them every where I travel, these here are by far the BEST birria tacos I have ever tried. Surprisingly, this was my first time at Don Tito, but I can assure you it won't be my last. So glad my bestie invited me out for Taco Tuesday. Of course, we had tacos and margaritas, but I wanted to try a couple of other items from the menu, so I went with the Chicken tortilla soup (it was cold out), Mexican street corn and crispy wings. Came here for happy hour with friends! The happy hour deals are quite good. The chorizo sliders were decent but definitely get the beef tacos. Came on 7/14 around 9pm after a movie and the place was just starting to pack up with the evening crowd. I was able to find a seat at the far left end of the bar and placed my order by way of my notes app. The wait wasn't long for a Friday night and the bartender was friendly enough. I ordered: Surf & Turf x2 - the skirt steak was really chewy but the well seasoned shrimp, onions and the chipotle mayo made up for it. Carnitas - this lacked any kind of flavor, the meat or otherwise. I'm a sucker for pickled onions because they add a nice bitter and sweet bite to anything you put them on. I didn't get any of that with this taco unfortunately. For $5 they do give you generous servings but I'd try something else if I came back. read more

This location is an interesting mixture of restaurant/bar and Las Vegas night club. The first floor is a generic bar. On the day I went they were serving tacos outside which honestly were really good for $9 for 2. The second floor was an image of Las Vegas night club with bottle service, strobe lights, and sport game over the projector. The 3rd floor is a rooftop bar. The music was great with a DJ on the second level. Depending on what you're looking for you have a variety of bars i to choose from in one location. I went out with a group with the intent to indulge in happy hour, to find out that they have ditched their old happy hour situation in lieu of daily deals. Taco Tuesday included $3 street tacos (Chicken, beef, or carnitas), and $7 margaritas. My tacos weren't in the $3, but are my two favorites they offer (Jamaican Jerk Chicken and the Surf & Turf). This place has been around forever... I used to hang in this area a lot to meet up with my best friend way before the pandemic -- it was just a couple of stops away from work. We used to pick spots randomly -- and this was in the rotation. Back then it was happy hour drinks and tacos... they used to have a taco eating contest. I'm fairly certain that was discontinued. Anyways, fast forward to now, they just recently opened up a rooftop space, and I've been wanting to check it out as a lover of rooftops!! The first time I checked it out, it was pretty darn hot and part of it was closed. The second time I tried to go for brunch... it was even hotter, and it was crowded so I couldn't even sit up there, haha. The A/C on the first floor felt nice though, I'll say. So far the rooftop hasn't wowed me like I had hoped, but that doesn't mean Don Tito isn't a cool spot. It gets packed, PACKED I tell you -- but the music is good if you're cool with the crowd... I think I'd be more of a happy hour guy myself. By the way, I got the monte cristo sandwich during brunch... that thing was HUMONGOUS! Imagine a giant French toast sandwich full of meat -- that's what it was. I barely finished half, but it was good!! I just wish it came with some syrup. It's a nice large space to come for big sporting events on the TVs. The bar, though spacious has limited seating. You end up with a good amount of standing room only so get there early if you're interested in seating. The bar looks pretty nice. The drinks admittedly are/were not very memorable. I don't recall anything being particularly bad here. There is a lot to consider with this restaurant. The waiters / waitresses were nice the rest of the staff didn't really interact with the customers. The chips and salsa, were the best items that I tried. It was very good and a must try. The tacos were on happy hour so we tried different ones but they weren't hot. The flavors were pretty good though. Just a tad bit too salty for me. The empanadas were hit and fresh but less flavorful than the tacos. Went to Don Tito's on Wednesday for Happy Hour and will definitely go back. I had the strawberry margarita on the rocks and frozen painkiller and they both were amazing. To eat - we had the Old Bay Wings and chips and salsa- which were also really good. I heard the Frose is amazing so looking forward to going back and trying that out. Our waiter gave us the 5 star treatment! He kind of looked like Mac Miller! Haven't been to Don Tito since my college years and turned right back around to the elevator when I saw the rooftop party with the DJ. Everyone looked like they were in their early 20s. We sat at the bar area on the first floor and really enjoyed the vibe and food. Wings were really juice and flavorful, chips were thick and fresh, all the seafood tacos were really good, the Patatas Bravo had too much of the sauce and needed some heat to it. This is a favorite Happy Hour spot for my friends and I. It's one of the few places whose happy hour errs on the later side as it lasts until 8. The tacos are a fave of mine and typically come out quick and hot. The margaritas are excellent and well priced. Plus you can get them frozen and in various flavors and they are still at Happy Hour prices. Seating here is pretty easy. Lots of space on the first floor bar area, but when the weather is nice you'll likely want to venture to the rooftop. Ladies, be careful if you plan to be cute in heels. First time here and we decided to sit on the rooftop! It was slightly chilly but there was a heater directly behind our seat. The waitresses were friendly as well as the hosts. We ordered queso for the table, as well as the house nachos. Our meals consisted of various tacos (surf and turf, baja fish, pomegranate glazed skirt steak and the po boy shrimp) and the steak quesadilla.
