Which is awesome because I would never have known what to order. He did the ordering for both of us, and he ordered too much, but it was all quite good. We started with potatoes in a cheese sauce and ceviche. The potatoes were amazing. I've never tasted anything quite like them. The ceviche was good. Next we had something that was veggies, white rice and French fries in a brown gravy with beef. Also quite tasty. Then fried rice with various types of meat and seafood mixed in. I tried it and it was good, but by this time I was pretty full, so I only tasted it. I'll have the rest for lunch tomorrow. We drank Inca Kola, which is very popular in Peru, although now it's apparently made by Coke, but still, quite tasty. They have a diet version, but I don't touch artificial sweeteners. We passed on dessert as I had eaten too much already. I don't have anything bad to say about this place. The service was good, the food was good, the restaurant was clean. I can't comment on the prices because I honestly didn't pay any attention since I wasn't paying for the meal (thank you, Kalo), but he didn't say anything bad about the prices. All-in-all it was a good restaurant and certainly deserving of four stars. And one to add to my list of do-overs.

Lots of food options on the menu from meats to seafood, pasta to ceviche and soups. My friend and I were starving and wanted to try everything but we decided to order some signature dishes. Ceviche is a must for me when going to Peruvian restaurants. The fish can be upgraded to corvina fish if you choose. The sauce is tangy and refreshing. Came with fresh onions and a piece of sweet potato. Nice portion. The Jalea is a big platter of fried mixed seafood. The breading was seasoned and delicious. The sauce it came with had onions in it which I loved! It was a little too fried for me but not burnt so it was all good. The steak and pesto pasta was hearty. The steak was grilled to medium rare very nicely and the pasta was al dente with plenty of sauce. Will be coming back soon!

My husband ordered a "margarita" and after tasting it we realized it wasn't actually tequila but priced like there was. Service was rather slow for a restaurant with higher end menu items. The server came by only a few times during our meal and at one point I felt like he forgot we were there even though he kept passing by us. We would have ordered more food but his lack of attention made up decide to not try anything else. I joked with my husband that "we live here now" because we sat at the table with empty plates and drinks for nearly 25 min before my husband had to flag down the waiter for the check. I feel like this place has so much potential because the food was good but unfortunately it was a huge miss for us.

The restaurant is very nicely decorated and modern. We celebrated our friend's birthday dinner and everyone loved their food. I shared the Huancaina fettuccine and the Teriyaki Entraña Sushi roll. Both were phenomenal and I would go as far as to say this is one of my favorite sushi rolls of all time. I also think theirs is the best huancaina sauce I've had due to a cheesy profile that it has (and I am a cheese lover). We also had a Maracuyá Pisco Sour, which was beautifully presented and the perfect balance of flavors. You could definitely taste the Pisco, but it was not too strong. Our service was also phenomenal. Our server checked on us often and was very friendly. While the prices are a little high, the quality and flavors make it worthwhile. I definitely will be back and highly recommend for Peruvian / Nikkei food lovers like myself.

When we first arrived, our waiter completely forgot about us and another waiter had to step in and help. My husband ordered a seafood soup, and the waiter's assistant brought it out... but with no spoon. We waited about 5 minutes before she came back with a tiny dessert spoon for a seafood soup I asked the hostess if we could please get a proper spoon. She kept walking in and out until finally she told us that all the spoons in the restaurant were occupied and we had to wait. Meanwhile the soup had already been sitting there for over 10 minutes getting cold. At the end, Alejandro the only person actually trying to help finally went and found a spoon himself. By then my husband didn't even want the soup anymore. Our original waiter finally came back and asked if we wanted him to reheat the soup ‍ My husband said no, please just take it away and bring the check. Then the waiter says, "Look, I removed the soup from the bill," as if that fixed the situation The saddest part is that no manager ever came over, nothing. Everyone acted like this was completely normal. The only person who genuinely tried to resolve the situation was Alejandro.

Once we arrived I realized we have been here before... It's been about 10 years and my memory from back then was good food and nice atmosphere. And now we're back.... a Friday night and they have some outside tables available (if you wanted some quieter atmosphere) because inside was dinner drinking and karaoke... we had a table good for hubby and I to watch. There was a large group (a party of some sorts) and a lot of great singers; and so many people jumped up to dance along with many of the songs. We tried a couple of varieties of the peruvian classic drink, Pisco Sour... once traditional and one with a mango twist. They were very good (not my thing but very good for what they are). We shared one of their ceviches (amazing) I ordered Tacu Taco with chicken and my husband got some seafood dish; I can't remember what it was called but I know we could've shared one dish since the servings are huge. The vibe did not disappoint. They play great music, the atmosphere is fun, and the service was friendly. The only thing that threw me off a bit was the timing of the food. I received my dish first, but it took about 10 more minutes for the person I was dining with to get theirs. I also noticed the same thing happening at a few tables around us, so it seems like the kitchen was running a little behind that day. Now, the food itself? Delicious. I ordered the shrimp ceviche, which was fresh and flavorful, and the filet mignon lomo saltado. The steak was a bit tough to chew, but the flavor of the sauce was spot on and really well seasoned. Overall, despite the slight delay with the dishes, I enjoyed the meal and would come back to try more. Their Peruvian-Asian fusion options sound especially interesting, and I'd love to explore more of the menu.

I had a great time the first time, and yep it's still that girl. Let's talk about the vibe real quick. The ambiance is everything. Modern, and just really well put together. From the furniture textures to the contrast in colors it all feels super intentional but still chill. Like, they knew what they were doing when they designed this place. 10/10 on the setting alone. Let's get down to the items shall we? What We Had Drinks ____________________ + Naori Signature Drink ($15) : 8.4/10 This one's made with Pisco Berries and Triple Sec. It's a layered, fruity cocktail that's a little more complex. Personally, I prefer the Pisco Sour it's cleaner and more balanced for my taste. But if you like citrusy and berry-forward drinks, you might love this one. Again, these are my reviews based on my taste buds. You might feel differently and that's ok honey. + Espresso Martini ($16) : 9/10 Strong, chocolatey, and gets the job done. + Lychee Martini ($16) : 8.6/10 Clean and balanced. Not too sweet, just smooth and refreshing + Pisco Sour ($16) : 10/10 My fave. Fruity, with this nice cold foam on top. Pretty sure there were peach or passionfruit notes in there. So good. * Shots - We also did a round (Don Julio, I think), and it kept the vibe going. Appetizers/Entrees __________________ +Nikkei Tiradito ($19) : 10/10 Thin tuna slices with a shouyu sauce that had a little citrusy kick. I could've had another plate just for myself. +Grilled Octopus ($20) : 8.4/10 This was good! Cooked well, had a nice char. Not my favorite thing on the table, but still strong comes with Peruvian corn and potato. +Arroz Chaufa Special ($24) : 10/10 Babyyy this dish was everything. Wok-fried rice, perfectly seasoned. That filet was so tender, and the shrimp just brought it all together. Easy standing ovation for me. * Dessert - I honestly can't remember what we ordered for dessert, but it was decent. Nothing crazy. I'd give it a 7/10. Overall Experience: 10/10 Customer Service: 10/10 Would I Be Back? Without a doubt. I even told my mom about this place and I think she went a couple months ago! We visited Mancora for dinner and enjoyed several items. As an appetizer, we started with the Chorros à la Chalaca which are one of my favorites. They came fully loaded with all of the toppings! I was very impressed by the sauce on the Tacu Tacu and will consider ordering that as my entree in the future. The tacos were my entree and I found them to be very well portioned in terms of filling and the flavors were phenomenal, especially with the accompanying sauces. Perhaps the best part of the meal was our dessert - picarones! Our waiter did warn us that they are not exactly like "traditional" Peruvian picarones, but they are so delicious nonetheless. They come out freshly made and warm with plenty of syrup. They also have delicious pisco sours and offer Inca cola! In terms of seating, the restaurant is very large, so there is always space available. The service was very attentive and food came out in a very reasonable timeframe. I look forward to returning to reorder some of our items (like the picarones) as well as to try out other items on the menu! Highly recommend to any Peruvian food lover.
