It's quite enough to have your phones blasted with spam & scams by unwanted Robot-calls and telemarketers on a daily basis. Now consider you've just turned in your vehicle for services because that annoying service reminder pops up on your dash board every-time you start your car. While you're sitting there You receive a text message (you assume is from a Don Ringler) offering to purchase your car (for $$$ - $$$) because used cars like yours are in high demand. You reply "yes", You just agreed to a Robot AI system to receive continued text message from that system and any and all of Don Ringler's third party associates. Then you get message to a link to terms, you click on that and it sends to pages of legal Boilerplate with a bunch of legal terms, most of us don't understand, and certainly don't have time to read or present to and Attorney for review. My understanding is, while your vehicle is in for services the technician records the mileage and whatnot inters it into their system. Afterwards a computer algorithm determines based on the mileage (in this case very low) and years already put into payments etc how much it would benefit/profit their company to acquire your vehicle. Then I am assuming our phone numbers (without our consent) are hijacked by their AI system to make unsolicited offers for our cars. But! later you get a text from a "real person" basically telling you that was a AI generated offer and he would have to personally examine the vehicle to determine it's worth to him. This is the bottom line; 1. I do-not believe they have the authority to enter into an auto dialing system (without our consent) personal information such as our phone numbers and all other recorded information they receive during a service we are or have paid for. 2. If they rely on a computer system to make unsolicited offers to "bate" their customers, they should have to honor the offers that system makes regardless of a humans evaluation or appraisal. read more

I bought A brand new car and when the tags came in the dealership kept the paper tags and someone from the carlot put them on a car that looked exactly like the one i bought and drove all over Dallas with the toll roads, so the bills came to me! When I called the dealership, they said I probably drove there. Well, I got i year free ONSTAR AND THE INFORMATION WOULD TELL THEM THAT THE CAR i bought never left the area, much less went to Dallas for the month! I ended up having to pay the toll bills. I have taken my 2016 Corvette there twice in the last 12 months and have spent in excess of 10,000$ getting work done. Until today I have been very satisfied. Satisfied with the service of the technicians and the Customer care my service advisor Tara had given me. However, after having my vehicle for 3 weeks they were running late and Tara told me if I wanted my vehicle that Friday evening that she would not have time to wash it. I agreed and said I would wash it. After washing it several time I text Tara and asked what the white stuff on my car because I was playing hell getting it off my paint. She explained that the city had burned something and it was ash. No less then 6 weeks ago I had recently had the front end painted and there were a few spots that damaged the paint. She was apologetic and turned the issue over to her Supervisor Paul. It's at this point that I realized I would not ever being doing business here again. Paul refused to even have his paint guys look at it and said he couldn't take responsibility for this. He said it's no difference then if a hail storm came....he insisted that this was an act of god even though they knew the ash was on it and obviously left it on there a while. In the end the fact that I had spent a small fortune there in the last 12 months and the paint was brand new he was basically not going to take any responsibility for it. I hate car dealerships. I really hate car dealerships. Nearly everyone I go to I'm leached into, pressured into a car I can't afford, and talked to like I'm 12. Until now! Don Ringler has some of the best staff I've seen at a dealership. The salesman didn't act like me buying the car or not depended on if he got to pay rent for another month. Talked to service manager today regarding damages done to my sons car by Don Ringler to have the back up camera diagnostic done two weeks ago. Looked at camera footage, which is not a clear angle to see this done as it is from the side facing towards rear of car. Not to mention some of the camera footage is not all there. Seems some of it is missing? He looked the damage and just keeps saying he doesn't believe they did it and he won't repaint it but will try and buff everything out. He is going to replace a piece that was obviously damaged while they had it though as he admitted it looked like it was drug across the ground. Trying to figure out how any of that even makes any sense. How can someone pick and choose what is to be repaired while obviously all damage was done while at the dealership? Buyer beware. They sell lemons and then provide zero support when the vehicle breaks down. Granted this dealership didn't build the truck, but they are responsible for taking care of you when that happens. They have a ton of vehicles there for the same issue yet GM isn't doing the right thing by the customer. They have chronic lifter failures on new vehicles. Parts are back ordered and the best part you are left to fend for yourself trying to secure alternate transportation while your new $60k truck is in the shop. No loaner support, no rental support... nothing. I got 0 support from the dealership that I purchased the truck from. I do not understand how they do not try to bend over backwards for a customer who purchased a 60k truck and it broke down within 4 months of ownership. Again, no help from the dealer. I would have taken anything loaner, used car, POS with 4 wheels. Anything! Instead I was left to fend for myself to secure transportation just to get to work. The rental for the two weeks my truck was awaiting repairs cost over $1300. What about people or single mothers that cannot swing that kind of money in addition to their car payment? Apparently rental reimbursement through GM will take 6-8 weeks... I recommend finding another dealer that will not only treat you well when you purchase the vehicle but will take care of you in the event of an incident or failure of said vehicle. I first did business with Don Ringler in August of 2013. I have purchased 4 vehicles from this business since then. Most recently I had some dealings with the service department on my 2013 Silverado that required a couple of trips before the fault was properly diagnosed. I've had several services done over the years, but this was only the second time I had used them for repairs. I was treated fairly and professionally by Ryan at the front desk. Ultimately, the diagnosis did identify the root cause of the problem and the repairs were completed. The performance after the repairs was a major improvement. While my truck was in for repairs, I was provided courtesy transportation, the same as every other time I had my vehicles serviced, and the driver was very friendly. When I was contacted that the repairs were completed, the courtesy driver contacted me and gave a pretty good estimate on when he would arrive to pick me up. He contacted me again, about five minutes out, and arrived at the time he had informed me would. Very friendly and professional. During one of my visits for this particular repair, I noticed something on the lot and "got the itch". I began doing some research, and after a couple of months, I decided to go check on a vehicle in Killeen and was not impressed by the unprofessional demeanor of the sales staff that assisted me. The vehicle was available. I did a thorough inspection and was very interested. Due to the lack of professionalism and business acumen, it was a complete waste of my time and money to make the trip. I walked out. After leaving there, I went to Don Ringler to look at the truck that originally sparked my interest. I was welcomed by several staff members who know me as a customer and was helped by Daniel Jones, who was very casual, courteous and professional. While looking at the truck, I asked Daniel several questions and he was very helpful. I also noticed another vehicle that had the equipment and appearance I was looking for, which I preferred and we started the process. I explained where I needed to be very clearly and respectfully. There was a little back and forth, which is to be expected if you want your intentions to be met in a sales transaction. In the end, the numbers were good, F&I went to work, and all of my expectations were met. They worked for it, and earned my business, again. Worst truck buying experience ever!! They could never give me a date my truck would be ready for pick up or even call to give me updates, I had to call them every few weeks and ask about the truck I ordered. When the truck came in(9 months order) I was informed it was damaged and to come test drive it before they started working on it. Agreed to come see and test drive the truck the next morning at 10 am. When I arrived to text drive and see the truck they had taken it to the body shop and where not able to find the keys, big waste of time. Next when the truck was ready the repairs where horrible. This included bumpers being placed back on the truck crooked and a dent not being fixed. I pointed put the issues for the second time (another wasted trip and time to the dealership) and they said they would fix it. The next call was to pick up the truck which the repairs where made but the truck was still scratched from the dent repair, so they sent me to the body shop at the dealership and the manager of the body shop just talked down to me and said its not worth fixing. This guy came off as an old grumpy man who hates his job. I told him any scratch on a new $70,000.00 truck was not acceptable and he laughed. I took my truck and left because I did not feel like they cared about my purchase or their customers. I will drive to Houston or any other city to buy a vehicle again just to avoid dealing with this horrible dealership. About 18 months ago I bought a Colorado zr2 from Kyle Havens, he consistently follows up to ask how the truck is doing, and was a pleasure to deal with. Fast forward 18 months later, I am trying to get some warranty information, I call call out of the blue and not only did he remember my entire name, he touched base again to y'all about the truck and was able to get me the information I needed immediately. So I am from out of town with property in the Temple area. We have bought 3 vehicles from Don Ringler and have been happy with the dealership until today. I need a rear view mirror replaced that they reattached in April...hot weather and the mirror came off. No option to schedule an online appointment for this so I drive up on vacation to work in an appointment. Today I am told that I can't get an appointment until next Monday. I work in Houston so a Monday appointment is not an option. So I ask when the next weekend appointment is available and they say they don't do diagnostics on the weekend We will be going to other dealerships or service vendors now. I am retiring to Temple in another year or so and will need another vehicle down the road. I won't be looking at Don Ringler for that purchase. read more

Not happy. I had a car towed to your shop because it was having transmission issues. All indicators pointed to the speed sensor. Once the techs looked at it all they said was that the fluid was low and dirty. The transmission was just serviced not long ago by a different company. So they serviced the fluid and sent the car out. No issues on short drives but about 3 hrs from our house the car does the same things as before. Not cool. So I had the car towed back to the dealership. Days go by without anyone looking at the car even though we were told daily that it would be brought in to be started. Four days later and they give us an estimate and said that they needed one part because they already received the speed sensor. Yes the speed sensor that should have been replaced on the initial visit. Anyways one part turned into two, and two parts turned into three and then after daily checks on the car it is finally finished. So, I ask Ryan what is the total final cost that I owe? He says a price that was a bit high but oh well at least I am getting the car back, right? Well lobg stiry short I go to pay the bill and it was $100 more than what he just told me on the phone. I look at the charges when I get home and there is some questions that I have about the invoice and why certain things are there. At least we have the car back. The service dept has been going down hill for awhile now because this is not the first time that we have had issues. Not sure if I will be continuing my business there. read more

OMG!!! This is a car dealer? Best dealership experience EVER! I have bought my fair share of cars including domestic, import, luxury, sports cars, new, used, certified pre-owned, you name it. I worked with Jerry over the phone on pricing and availability since they are 30-40 miles away from me. We were able to sort everything out over the phone. When I arrived on only 45 minutes notice, the salesperson Jerry had asked to work with me, Kristy, had the car pulled up in front, washed ready to test drive. I drove it, loved it, and met with the Finance and Insurance person shortly after. While I was doing this, Kristy, my salesperson, had the car washed AGAIN because she saw something that I hadn't even noticed. The paperwork/finance and insurance portion was painless and I was given a great price on an extended warranty (considerably less than what I was able to find anywhere else). If you're in the market for a Chevy, Toyota (Don Ringler Toyota dealership is right next door), or a used car that may be on the Don Ringler lot, do yourself a favor and call/shop Don Ringler in Temple. Let me start off by saying that our salesperson Jim S. was absolutely amazing. He had the vehicle ready for us to look at upon arrival to the dealership and was very respectful. However, when it came down to running numbers the finance manager did not seem interested in helping us get financed. He spent a total of about 5-6 minutes submitting our deal to the banks and didn't even try to get us approved. He never stepped out of the tower to ask us any questions, for example down payment ect. We asked for a buyers order to take to our credit union and he argued with our salesperson about the pricing trying to low ball us on the price. We finally decided to just leave and all of a sudden he wanted to know if we wanted the buyers order.The finance manager could have done more to help us but he chose not to.
