The Carmel location just opened. Went on a Friday at 5:30 pm very packed. Building is very pretty and looks great. Staff was super friendly this post is not directed to them, service was better than the food. Got the fried chimichangas nothing to get excited about, bland in taste. Arroz con pollo dry and was just ok. Chips and salsa very good. Overall average Mexican food and good service. It is quite expensive for Mexican food. read more

Service was horrible! No check backs for drink or chip refills. Fajitas not served sizzling upon arrival like other places. Steak was not soft like usually served at other mexican restaurants. Tomato wasn't fresh on my plate and served whole while neighbor got pico. I asked to get my pico. Plates not consistent on extras. Food got me sick too. Not best quality. Won't be back. read more

Chips were like store-bought; salsa marginal. Chimis were much smaller than I've had at other Mexican restaurants. But the icing on the cake - they charged extra for a to-go drink. (I was drinking a soda and asked for an iced tea to go. I have NEVER been charged for that at another restaurant.) Will never go back. read more

Had lunch there today ordered the poblano peppers with shrimp. It was swimming in water with a lot of cheese and grilled shrimp was on top! My husband got the same and his was swimming in water also! Told the managed he listed and disappeared! Will not return or recommend this restaurant read more

Save your money and go to one of the good Mexican restaurants in Hamilton County. Everything was awful. By everything, I mean the service, the quality, taste and presentation of the food. Nothing tasted fresh or homemade. The margaritas were terrible. Even the chips and bottled salsa was bad. read more

I went with a party of 9 and there was no wait. I had the Don Rigo bowl with chicken, and it was delicious.

Delicious food and attentive service. Love the ambiance. We really love the nachos and fajitas

The owner is wonderful and the staff is friendly. The food is fresh and tasty and comes out quickly. The atmosphere is really nice and it is very wheelchair friendly. read more

Great food (I had the steak quesadilla), super friendly team, and a beautiful new building. So glad they're finally open. read more

Nicer building and more updated than most Mexican restaurants in the area. Food was pretty good, my wife had veggie quesadillas and I had the Don Rigo bowl with steak. Service was inattentive and lacking. read more

Been there twice and had horrible service both times. A lot of workers, just not a lot of people working. The food was below par. Lots of great options around here. Too bad, they seemed to have spent a lot of money on the buildout. read more

My husband and I had lunch here today for the first time. We enjoyed the experience. The atmosphere is very clean and bright. The food was good. And the service was prompt and friendly. Keep in mind you aren't in Mexico. This is everything you should expect from a Mexican restaurant in Indiana. We will definitely be going back. read more

The food was simply delicious, the service was friendly and attentive, and the decor was delightful.

Do not go here. Or at least, understand that it's a crap shoot what kind of experience you'll have. This was our third experience with Don Rigo's. The first one was great, which was why we went back. Great food, a little high priced maybe, but really good food. 2nd time - we were seated and ordered, then I watched my wife turn red like a lobster. The room was so hot, we had to get our food to go and take it home to eat. I was sincerely concerned my wife was going to pass out. 3rd time - we ordered from door dash. Simple order - two items. Guacamole and shrimp nachos with the cheese sauce on the side. We got the order - no cheese sauce. I called back and no one to deliver the cheese sauce. So I had to go pick it up. Not one word of remorse or sorry at the restaurant - they barely spoke to me. WE WILL NOT BE GOING BACK TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT! read more

Long story short, the Carmel based restaurant has potential. Ambiance was nice, but our waiter was inattentive. My steak enchiladas were tasty, but lukewarm. Wife's refried beans & rice was cold, so she requested another & again cold. She then complained to the owner/manager. She was promptly given a hot serving. He was very apologetic & thanked us for coming & for our feedback. Restaurant just opened so they still need to improve on some things. However, the margaritas read more

What a cool spot! They didn't waste a dime on the building. Very big. Ordered lunch and it was fresh and delicious. Large menu with plenty of options. Large bar area. Good service. Nice addition to the area! read more

The best authentic Mexican cuisine! We have visited for dinner 3 times now and each time the food, service and ambiance is perfect! Highly recommend the enchiladas chipotle! read more

There were only a few tables so service should have been fast. However, 15 minutes went by without someone coming by for drink orders. Once we got them, we still waited another 10-15 minutes before they brought them out. My sister ordered a small pina colada and they brought out a jumbo pina colada flavored margarita. They never refilled drinks unless flagged down and asked. They got my order wrong and then told me that the food they made was the same thing but with onions so they told me I could just keep it but did bring out some extra queso and rice for the meal. Beyond other small annoyances (not bringing enough menus, straws for the kids, and high chair and table arrangement confusion) I don't plan on returning. read more

Went for first time tonight at 5 pm. Pretty busy. Good service, but food just ok, like a chain restaurant. Pretty bland. Salsa was watered down red sauce, no veggies in it. Pricy for Mexican, you're paying for the fancy building. I won't be going back. So many mom and pops in county that are so much better, and cheaper. read more

I never write reviews but this one I have to! It is now our new favorite Mexican restaurant near our home. When you walk in it has great vibes and very great atmosphere. Brand new, clean/spotless restaurant. The service is great, very attentive, and nice! The food is excellent- fresh and hot. The prices are great too! Highly recommend checking this place out! read more

Great food! Family and I shared a great dinner at don rigo, fajitas don rigo was an excellent choice along with the don rigo bowl! The cherry on top was the 48oz margarita for $15.99! read more

First time customer and probably the last. Restaurant is beautiful! It was obvious there was not enough servers. There was no hostess and when we did get seated we waited awhile to get service. Our drinks finally came but then we waited awhile yo get straws. The chips were awful... I mean a Mexican restaurant better have good chips. My entree was okay but it took forever to get it and then the people at my table were almost done by the time I got my food. So disappointed. I was really looking forward to a good Mexican restaurant in this area. This unfortunately is not it!!! read more

The restaurant is absolutely beautiful inside & outside. I couldn't wait to eat some really true great Mexican cuisine. The food was unbelievably bland. I mean absolutely no taste no flavors at all.. We spent $40 just on the Fajita trios. We asked for compensation and they only gave us $8 back. Basically equaling to the waiters tip money. Don't go to this restaurant if you're looking for good tasting food to eat. Or you're ready to choke down cardboard. None of our food was eaten but maybe a few bites. The employees were very rude about it. Table next to us said food looks great and then we told them how looks are deceiving....don't waste your money because there's no flavor to their dish. read more

The food has been good every time we have been here. Haven't had anything not good. Service has always been good as well. Sometimes slow depending on how busy they are. Good atmosphere as well. read more

Changing my review to 4 stars. I've been there a few times since and I'll say the place is very clean...5 stars on that. Also, they have very good lunch specials. read more

My friends and I always review restaurants when we go and here was our ratings. The price is a 3/10. For the meals themselves they are decently priced, but for the quality that you were getting for the price, I do not think it is worth it. Our queso was cold and the chips were store bought which is so tragic. The water wasn't very great. You can definitely drink it, it just isn't the best tap water haha. The environment was fine as well I just think for the location, there are much better Mexican restaurants to go to. read more

We recently went to Don Rigo's for the first time, and we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food and service. We went at lunch and I had the lunch fajitas with steak and I was impressed both with the flavor and quantity of the dish. My wife had the Don Rigo bowl and really enjoyed it, she said there was steak in every bite. We also liked the ambiance of the restaurant, Mexican decor without being over the top. Our waiter was personable and attentive. We will definitely be back. read more

Ambiance is pleasant and service was very good. Ordered chimichanga and it was bland. Totally devoid of seasoning. Just hamburger in a fried shell. Salsa was bland as well. Margarita and flan were tasty. Overall a "meh". Cancun is much better. read more

Very average, chips are thick and I would say store bought. Guacamole had everything but guacamole. It had an overwhelming amount of onions and salt, had green peppers which I've never had that before. I had the Vegetable Fajita and our guests had Arroz con Polo. Both were okay, cheese dip could have more flavor. It's sad because we were looking for a good Mexican Restaurant. As of now the best one is Los Arroyos in Carmel. read more

Friends raved about this restaurant. We thought we'd try it. We both had a hamburger casa dip and felt very nauseated a short time after leaving. It has been a long afternoon! read more

Beautiful restaurant, so many possibilities to be great. But with any business, customer service should be a priority. With that being said, the food was ok slightly above average, nothing to rave about. The customer service was horrible, we were seated quickly (party of 6, we were waiting on a couple to still arrive) 5 or so other tables were occupied with plenty of staff running around. 5 minutes after we were seated this gentleman brought our chips and salsa, very good chips and salsa, and left no drink order, no water just chips and salsa. about 10 minutes after that our waiter arrived with sweat running down his forehead, maybe he was busy unloading a truck or something surely not waiting tables. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, The waiter was polite although said nothing about the wait. At this point I requested another basket of chips and 2 things of salsa, chips and salsa for the incoming couple and another salsa for me, it was good. Because of the wait I had given the new couple the rest of my chips and collected enough salsa from everybody else to give them 1 bowl of salsa for the 2 of them. Now the table is out of chips and salsa when the waiter arrives with drinks 1 bottle of salsa and 1 basket of chips for the table of 6 and we are now 20-25 minutes at the table, getting our first drinks. Important, beer was cold a huge plus in my book. We ordered and actually came out pretty quick, the waiters brow has now dried up but, still did not check on us, we had to flag him down, did nothing in the way of customer service, napkins, straws for water (not the beer, what are you thinking), no more salsa, chips and no bill. after waiting about 15 minutes I finally walked up to the cashier, at that point the waiter walked up with my bill and rang me up. Poor effort, little to no effort whatever you want to call it, I don't believe wait staff should ever be stiffed but I do believe the should be tipped according to their level of service. For the price of their food the staff should care a little more about service. read more

My wife and I have been searching for a new 'go to' Mexican restaurant since El Camino closed in Noblesville. We were promptly seated at Don Rigo and food was served quickly. Unfortunately, our food was very salty and I needed a refill for my water. After waiting for a while, I decided to go to the bar and do it myself. Finished that glass of water and needed another refill. Still no server. Went to the bar again. The server appeared after an absence of around 15 minutes. I jokingly told him that I thought he quit. He responded that he was in the bathroom. For 15 minutes. Gross! Go to the bathroom; just don't tell the diners. Seems like terrible service and salty food are a good reason for a 1-star review. Really disappointed. read more

My husband and I love this place!! Food is awesome and the staff are so friendly. We have been there at least once a week since they opened and I try something different every time. Never disappointed. Make sure you put this on your A list to try!! read more

I always judge Mexican restaurants based on my abuela's cooking...and this place was very comparable! So so so good. I was even impressed by the amount of queso dip they gave, they don't hold back! I had the street tacos and beans/rice, I don't know for sure, but I felt like the corn tortillas were homemade. I HIGHLY recommend this place! Also, the service and esthetic were both phenomenal! We will definitely be going back. This is the place to go! read more

Great, Delicious, Authentic, Mexican Food! The waiters are kind and caring. And I loved the designs of the place and the tables and chairs!
