The food and service is top notch. My favorite Mexican restaurant. The Caldo De Res is great for the soul.

The prices and the food. I went Don Ramon's because I heard how great it was supposed to be. First of all $50.00 for 2 meals is a lot to me. Then the food was not that great. Bad experience for me. read more

We ordered the Parrillada Ramon's for two. The presentation was beautiful, and the flavors were even better. The baby back ribs melted in your mouth, and the quail was seasoned perfectly. The fajitas were delicious. The service was excellent. Don Ramon's is our favorite restaurant and I would recommend it. read more

The restaurant is nearby a shopping center with a lot of stores, and when you pass by it seems to be like an expensive restaurant. In reality the restaurant is not that expensive but their decorations and ambience make this restaurant to be compared to a high scale mexican restaurant. I tried their Monday special, which is the enchiladas plate. The food is good and the portions are big, definitely will try it again a different day. read more

They have 2 outside patios and they are dog -friendly! So we went on Saturday early afternoon and were served outside by Jose who was very friendly. And the hostess even brought 2 plastic water cups for our 2 Great Dane puppies. How cool is that!? I had a barbecue breakfast taco. Not MY favorite, but I wanted to try something new. My husband got the Huevos con Chorizo breakfast plate and loved it. The chips and salsa are good. Warm red sauce and cold green sauce - not overly spicy so I could enjoy them. We had fun. read more

Food and Service was great! This was our first time here and we will definitely be back.

I asked for FRESH GUACAMOLE not BROWN OLD GUACAMOLE!! I will NEVER come back to this place. I was feeling sad and needed a quick happiness so I came here and was highly disappointed. The singer was cool but I'm good...they made one "fresh" but I didn't trust it so thanks but no thanks. read more

The food was delish. I've passed this restaurant many times and never went in. I don't know why but I just chose other places. Well they are now on my go to list for Spanish food. I had the fajita enchiladas. I was so hungry I had 2 fork fulls before I realized I needed to snap a picture. My wife had the mole and it was just as good as my plate. We were so full I had to be rolled out in a wheel barrel ( jk) . I was full, they serve real good portions. read more

Great service even though there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. I ordered the mixed fajitas for one and it was pretty good just overpriced. The whole menu seemed overpriced for a Mexican restaurant.i would go again because the food was good and I loved the music they played. read more

Go here and grab you a margarita or two and I guarantee you will be feeling good for the rest of the night. The drinks are on point. The food authentic. My favorite is the tableside guacamole. With so many Mexican food options, how do you chose one? The food! They're not all the same. This place is excellent! Tex- Mex. Outstanding. Sit outside if you can. Lovely. read more

I would never recommend this place. The food has no flavor at all. I had the taco salad and the only thing I tasted was the sour cream. The ambiance is okay, very in keeping with the Mexican restaurant feel however, the service ruins the whole place. I went with some friends and keep in mind there is no other table seated yet and the server we had didn't check on us once, we had to ask the buss boy for recommendations and to take our order. The server was so rude and honestly shouldn't have been there. I was disgusted by this experience. read more

This is a nice family Tex mex restaurant. We like the quesadillas and salsas. drinks are good, service is friendly, too. Live music on fridays. My only thing would be the charro beans recipe could be better as it tends to have too much tomato and not enough beans. read more

Ordered margaritas, nachos and fajita Tuesday special. We were helped right away, waitress was super attentive. The drinks were strong and the waitress got it right as most places you ask for no salt and you get salt anyWay. The place was easy to find with good amount of parking. Inside the vibe was nice and cozy but spacious with many tables occupied. They do have a happy hour with 3 dollar beers from 3-7. House Margaritas are 5.95 for small 7.95 during regular hours. WiFi is available but with password. Definitely try this place out if you're in the mood for Mexican cause the food was great. read more

I ordered a drink and although he switched straw, the server tasted my drink. I have never seen that done. I told the manager and the manager told me that was customary. Also, the window seal had a dead fly and was full of dust and dirt as if they had not cleaned up in a while. Needless to say, I will not ever go back. read more

One of our new local favorites. A great menu with delicious options, and great margaritas as well. Great service and reasonable prices.

Debated for the longest time if I should take a risk and come here.. I finally did! On a weekday lunch hour, I was not expecting the place to be as good as it really was. For starters both their salsas were amazing which is rare in a lot of restaurants and usually one is better than the other or in sadder moments..neither are good. But not here. I went with their enchiladas and my friend got the fajitas on the skillet. We did have a bite out of each other's plates and I will say I want to come back and try their fajitas, although the enchiladas too were amazing. The service is amazing, our server was on top of serving us our drinks and checking up on us which I like. The prices are reasonable for lunch just like every other place but there is quite a jump in price when it comes to dinner time. read more

Went out for dinner with the family so figure try something new so this restaurant came on on our radar. Went in and got sat waiter ( no offense but ball headed dude ) came by didnt introduce himself and ask for drink as soon as my last work came out he left faster the speed, leaving me wanting to order appetizers. Ok find, came back dropped the drinks and speed out again so that got my nerves running so waited for him to finally come back to take our order and mentioned to him how unsatisfied i was. Did not apologize but did say " oh i have a-lot of tables and i still have to take drinks for the bar" long story short. First time there i will definitely will not be coming back. read more

I usually promote the restaurant and enjoyed bringing friends here to eat and drink but tonight was different. I asked can they accommodate a group of 20 with the happy hour specials. The hostess stated yes. When we were seated they told us only for the happy hour drinks. I spoke with the owner and he agreed he cant honor it because hes losing money offering happy hour for the waiters. Never mind the exposure of the business and the possibility of new customers coming and bringing there family and friends. So i chalked it up and we still stayed. Once my party got up to order food at the bar. They started taking the tables. Lets just i wont be coming back read more

The chicken fajitas were about as good as they come. Don't remember having better. Fork tender. Refried beans great. Charro beans would have been great if they were (temperature) hot but they came to the table barely warm. Chips and salsa (both red & green) were very good. Putting Don Ramon's on our rotation list. Wow! Go before 3pm for the lunch special. You get the full dinner amount for less money. Win win with leftovers. Only negative was the service. They weren't that busy and didn't get the attention we would have hoped for with the bill etc. read more

If I could give a zero I would!!! We sat down and the hostess didn't even say a word to us and just walked off! We waited over 10 min while another family was serviced and given chips and salsa and we were ignored. So we got up and left. We are new to the neighborhood and will never come back. So we drove an extra mile and came to Las Flores on Stuebner rd....great place WAY BETTER PRICES...service and great authentic Mexican food! Thank you :). read more

Very disappointed. I ordered the table side guacamole and there was more onions, tomatoes, chives, etc., than avocado. What restaurant charges $$$$ for tables siide guacamole made with ONE GOT DAMN AVOCADO!!!! Our chicken dish was served cold so we had to seems it back. And there should have been no reason for a cold dish, the LUNCH RUSH was over. I'm thinking we got a leftover dish that they finallY MICROWAVED. Chips and side dips were skimpy and after waiting for someone to noticed TWO people had an EMPTY chip bowl we had to finally flag down a waitress. My seafood cerviche had no Clamato and NO AVOCADO at all. The frozen margaritas we passable....I've had much better at a daiquiri hut & for LESS MONEY. Needless to say, I am ALWAYS looking for new places to dine but THIS one in a thumbs down read more

I hate to be the first bad review but my experience was just that, bad. Service was horrendous. It took forever to get menus, drinks, food, and the check. When we first arrived all you could see were staff in black shirts, by the time we left nobody was to be found. Drinks: get the skinny margarita, it tastes soooo much better than the regular. It is simple, strong and what a margarita should taste like, but a bit pricey for the size. They also are served with maraschino cherries and I find this odd. Queso came luke warm and was just cheese in bowl. It hardened up before we could finish half of it and had to send it back to be reheated. It tasted like it came from a can. I ordered the Carnitas and was thoroughly disappointed (see photo). It was so dry I could not choke it down, not even with the weird sauce it came with on the side. I've never had Carnitas served with a pepper/onion/chipotle sauce and would never want it again. The chunks of pork were horrid, I would have sent it back but knowing how long it would take, I decided against it. The boyfriend had the Tacos el Carbon with steak which were decent but nothing spectacular. Rice and beans were blah; I made the comment that the refried beans tasted like the canned Rosaritas brand. The guacamole was divine. Full of flavor and garlic and mine had no fillers (tomato & onion) but another friend had guacamole with tomatoes all in hers, not sure what was up with that. This place just reopened and I was hoping for something better but I think we'll stick our other local Mex place. read more

I went to a retirement dinner there and our party of 40 were seated in their banquet room. I had been in that restaurant before when it was Doneraki's. When I walked into Don Ramon's I was impressed with the interior. In what used to be an ordinary and somewhat drab restaurant was a beautifully decorated space that warranted its name as a fine mexican restaurant. I ordered the don Ramos fajitas for $19.95. Out came an impressive sizzling platter of steak and chicken and ALOT of veggies with charra beans and pico and guacamole. I thought the meal was good but not as good as it looked. The tortillas were a 2. The beans were a 3 at best. The fajitas also were a strong 3 but no more. Also, the chips were a 2 and the red salsa was a 3. They had green too. Our service was good. This is a nice looking restaurant whose food while decent does not make me want to come back very soon. Perhaps I will return to give it another shot with something else on the menu and if needed edit this post. read more

I used to love this place till I met the general manager Martin. The food is pretty good but Martin does not how to run a business. After I explained to him how is waitress messed up on my ticket he began to tell me his establishment was a " fine Mexican restaurant " and tank tops were not allowed. Funny thing is he greeted me earlier and didn't mention anything about my shirt till I brought up the error his waitress made.. good food terrible service. Live 3 mins away and will never return. Thanks Martin ! read more

Service here was on point! If they are on a wait make sure to see JIMMY in the bar for some tasty margaritas, they make the wait go by fast. Lots of big TV's here make it a nice spot to watch your favorite games. Make sure you ask for MARIZIO, he was amazing, we never had to wait for a thing. We even spotted a member of our party carrying a round of drinks from the bar and stopped them and took the drinks for us :) great service :) Came here with a few friends we had the botanas sampler it was tasty and come out quick. Two salsas hit the table with the chips too, a green one and a warmed up red :) For our main we had the parrillada especial and an order of the shrimp brochette. It was all super tasty, beef was tender, shrimp had some nice gooey cheese in the middle an the chi ken was juicy... Pork was good too! It Came with all the extras.... Give this place a try its soooo much better than donerakies! read more
