    Enchiladas with Rice and Beans

The food was excellent and ambiance was okay. The service was a bit lackluster, but not terrible. My wife and I sat in a booth where my seat was about six to eight inches too far from the table, which caused me to have to sit on the edge of the seat to reach the table comfortably. A minor infraction, but also quite annoying--and the seat couldn't be adjusted. Because of these inconveniences, I'm giving this experience four stars. Make no mistake, though, I recommend Don Lucho wholeheartedly!

Chicken was grilled to perfection and the fried yuca was amazing. The prefect crunch fest with very flavorful aji varde sauce. I wanted to get a gallon of that varde sauce to bring home Very much recommended and the service was excellent.

We decided to eat at Perfect Pollo Peruvian & Tex-Mex when we were going to Shenandoah. For most people at our party, it was our first time eating Peruvian Chicken, so we didn't know what to expect. Ambiance: The restaurant reminds me of a Filipino eatery with a food bar for food selection. Since we were dining in, we didn't order from the food bar. We ordered from the menu instead. A billiards table and game night machines are on the right side of the entrance. There are posters for some live viewing of certain sports events. Price: We were surprised at how inexpensive their food was, and their servings are also huge. Food: I ordered half-size dak meat Peruvian Chicken with yellow rice and fried plantains. The half-size dark meat is 2-leg quarters. They were flavorful. The highlight of our meal was the sauces. I don't know what they were called, but I enjoyed mixing them up and dipping my Chicken. The fried plantains were one of my favorites as well. Service: The staff was very welcoming and open to suggestions. We got a chance to talk to the owner, who explained what to expect when eating a Peruvian chicken. Perfect Pollo has multiple locations. We will definitely be back when we are back on the road and in the area.

Thank you my Peruvian brothers & sisters. Y'all do pollo right. Crispy outside and juicy inside. Fresh vegetables as you can see from the photo. Ya gotta mix that jalapeño sauce into those spuds folks. My first time here and I will be back! For those of us who have served our great country, it is much appreciated how you display your American patriotism & Peruvian traditions. They do go together and we are all better off with you here & glad to have you. Thank you.

Portions are either very small or over priced... on second thought it's overpriced $4 for a cup of rice on the side makes no sense.

The chicken itself was not dry, it was very good texture and flavor. The sauces that come with it were also all very tasty. (There was a spicy red, a mild green, and a yellow) The green and red were probably my favorite. First time having Yuca Fries, they went well with the sauce! The string beans and steamed veggies were lowkey also really good and went well with the chicken, rice, and black beans. There was also the shrimp ceviche which was definitely different than what I normally get went well, when I wrapped all the stuff in a lettuce leaf(not sure if that's what you're supposed to do). It had shrimp, some kind of sweet potato(which was good!), and Peruvian corn which was super cool. Then there was the Bistec a lo Pobre, which had Carne Asada, with fries and rice and other stuff. Also very good. Then the plantains which were all very good, definitely added a nice sweet addition to the meal. To top it all off, there was a cookie I was not sure the name of but it was good LOL. Will definitely be coming back here to try more stuff. I will say, I think knowing spanish helps a lot if you come here

I found that strange given that they serve Peruvian food, which is not your every day offering. Anyhoo, the ambiance is boring and uninspired. The menu is a mix of Peruvian (I guess?), Mexican, and Middle Eastern. Some of the unexpected menu items are ceviche, beef heart, and gizzards or chicken livers? I forget but something like that. They also have yucca and plantain. I wanted Peruvian so I went with their 1/4 chicken, green rice with black beans, and mixed vegetables. The mixed vegetables were from a can. (Yuck) The green rice was zesty and novel. The chicken was well seasoned and really juicy. Portion sizes were plentiful. You won't leave hungry.

My wife is a fan of Peruvian food so we decided to give it a shot. I ended up ordering Mixto Ceviche while my wife went for the 1/2 Peruvian Chicken. The Peruvian Chicken is definitely the bargain meal but we planned to share our dishes. The appetizer (it looks like unpopped popcorn) is addictive; I kept nibbling on a few every minute. When the food arrived we were a bit disappointed in the temperature of my wife's chicken (barely warm); the flavors were fantastic but we expected it to be warmer. They also gave her plantains (though she did not order them) and they were fantastic. My Mixto Ceviche was very good but too spicy for my wife; as a result I ate it all. This is a full plate of food and I was stuffed. I felt the lime and spice combination was bit overwhelming and I can't say I loved my food. Maybe I don't like Peruvian food? If I came back (no plans to do that) I would get the Peruvian Chicken with plantains and another side.

This tidy little Latino market carries many Hispanic, Mexican and South American products. Being of Cuban descent, I frequently head to this site for Goya products, including rice, black beans, plantains, Adobo spices, coffee, Maria cookies, fresh fruits and veggies, tomato items, empanada shells and my "never be without" Mojo Criollo Goya marinade. This marinade truly is the spice of life and I use it in many of my recipes! You will also find baked goods, household items, and sundries at this store. There's a deli/butcher in the back and a frozen food section. There's also a small restaurant and pupuseria serving Latin fare, from Cuban sandwiches to tacos to tostones to tamales to yucca to soups/sides and more. They serve Cuban coffee, horchata, Latin sodas, and other drinks and some tempting desserts, like flan and tres leches cake. For an inexpensive, quick bite in a casual, no nonsense eatery with lots of festive atmosphere, you've gotta try Cielito Lindo, it really is "a slice of heaven". And not to worry if you don't speak Spanish, some of the folks there speak English. ¡Provecho!
