We were only in the Flathead area for a week and the day before we were to leave, my 2012 Charger blew a aluminum heater hose. I limped into the dealer with steam billowing out of my hood and they dropped what they were doing and came out to help. Even though it was late on a Friday, they quickly diagnosed what the problem was, ordered the part and the very hour it came in (the following Tuesday), they swapped out the part for way under the price the originally quoted me. ***STAY AWAY*** I would give a ZERO if i could. JEEP dodge RAM sells overpriced piles of junk and then says we "don't build them" (all of them told us that almost like they are trained to say that because they know the sell overpriced piles of junk). they sell you a rolling dumpster and then leave you hanging in the wind. I would recommend to anyone buying a new car to avoid jeep dodge ram like the plague unless you like spending all your time being jerked around on emails and calls and everyone form the dealer to the corporate office points the finger at everyone else. Definably done by an RHO ram! total garbage can't go more than 200 mines without breaking down. ***STAY AWAY*** do yourself a favor and just poke yourself in the eye and save your time and money. We had a Ram TRX; bad build quality seat came apart under 2K miles and BAD paint quality and poor service department. they told me that a part of the trim on the window pillar that was coming off after a few hundred miles, the gal told me to bring in and paint match on my dime. We had a 392 jeep broke down on the freeway with 1200 miles. the RHO is the worst. had it now for 10 months can't go more that 300 miles without it breaking down. all computers have been replaced. tail gate downs work right. door locks work when they want too. auto start breaks or starts and turns right or. key fob works when it feels like it. truck constantly is in the show. at this Pont it's been in the shop or broken waiting for a tow truck more days out of the 6 out of the 10 months then I've been able to drive it. it's currently in the shop for the 4th time staying there over 30 days. do yourself a big favor don't but a Jeep, dodge or a ram and stay away, it would be cheaper to have your kid hit you with a baseball bat. I've never purchased a vehicle from Don K but after my experiences in their service department, I never will. I (foolishly) ignored the advice of my friend, a 30-year realtor in the Flathead Valley, who told me to "drive to Missoula, it's a better option," as Don K was just not a customer service-oriented dealership. Come on, drive 90+ minutes to Missoula, compared to a 20-minute drive from Kalispell? How bad can this place be? Like I said, I foolishly ignored this advice. Everything with my truck's repair started great; I was dealing solely with an employee named Christina. She was a reliable point of contact and handled her job with aplomb. See! I knew my buddy was wrong! ... Then I got "the" text message from Christina; she was ending her employment with Don K and my new point of contact would be Alex Ecklund. And this is where all reasonableness was taken out of the equation. I'll spare you the details but, for example, the warning lights on my truck kept activating, even after the repair. I took photos of the dash lights and returned to Don K. I contacted Alex, who promptly advised me that pictures were worthless and he needed to see video of the dashboard's warning lights. Reasonable? I think not. However, I persevered, taking video clips of the dash's warning lights as I navigated the curves on Hwy 2. When I returned to the dealership with my two videos, Alex could not have been more disinterested. He refused to view them. And the preposterous cycle of events at Don K continued: repair work purportedly completed, take my truck home, stuff's still broken, return, be turned away, parts are ordered, be notified parts are in, return, wait - parts are broken and then, repair work was purportedly completed....again and again. Astonishing. All the while, everytime I had to return to dealership, I practiced my "more flies with honey than vinegar" approach on the way there. I knew that a snarky attitude wouldn't help anything. However, I honestly felt I had unknowingly done or said something to Alex to make him hate me. His default attitude was confrontational and angry. I try to give folks their space, not knowing what else is going on in their lives, but I also never did anything to deserve this attitude from Alex. So, on the last of approximately six visits to the service department (yesterday) for the same, simple, repair issue, I found myself sitting in the waiting room with a really nice, Montana OG. He actually said to me, "Yeah, I live in Columbia Falls and I usually drive to Missoula for my service. This place treats you like they're the only dealership within a hundred miles, which they are." This gentleman lives in Columbia Falls! This dealership is literally right up the road from his house! And his experiences have been just like mine - and to the point that he's willing to drive almost 2 hours to the Missoula dealership to be treated like a valued customer. So. I'm out. I will never return to Don K; for service, sales or otherwise and I highly recommend you take the drive to the Missoula dealership, as well ... unless (perhaps) they re-hire Christina, which would facilitate efficient problem-solving and the avoidance Alex's confrontational attitude. read more

This review is more for the service department than the sales. We have bought a few vehicles here. Every time I try to call for service it's dropped calls not sure if they hang up on me or I get a message machine. I leave a message and don't hear back. I tried since May to get in for a possible fire hazard recall. Spoke to someone in May and he said they would call When the part got in and I never got a call. Left two voice mails since May and nothing. Today called got hung up on called...back spoke to Alex about my recall. He said he could get me in October 24! It's August 22. He was obviously frustrated since they are busy. I explained I leave the area before the 24 and he said then the 13. After telling me "don't know what to tell you ma'am were are busy"...Don K Dealership touts a 200,000 mile warranty but frankly they are too busy or lack staff to handle service well. I know now days it's hard to get anyone to work but a two month wait after months of the part not being in for a possible fire hazard with my truck is unacceptable. Our Jeep suddenly stopped detecting both key fobs. We contacted Don K Dodge Jeep Chrysler and they helped us get the car started and we brought it to them. Their service department was completely booked for 2 weeks, but the service rep, Jeremiah, and the service manager, Dexter, spent a lot of time with us going over possible solutions. Jeremiah and another worker came out to our car and showed us where to find fuses, and Jeremiah also looked up possible causes and solutions. We would definitely go back if needed. Don K scammed me for over $1000. My truck broke down and I had it towed to Don K since there's an active recall on the motor from the manufacturer. They took over a week to diagnose the problem. When they finally did, they reassured me it was the recall issue and would be covered by Dodge. They told me there was no part available at the time. 6 weeks later I called to follow up. They said they just got the part in, and they would repair it soon, and once again clarified that it was the recall issue, they said yes. 8 weeks after I had my truck towed there, it was finally fixed. When I came to pick it up, they attempted to charge me over $1000 for the parts and labor that were directly caused by the recall issue. I reminded them I was told on the phone that Dodge would be paying to fix the problem since it was the recalled part. They LIED, and said I agreed over the phone to pay over $1000. After speaking with MULTIPLE service managers, I finally spoke with the head of service, who yelled at me, and threatened to take my truck from me if I didn't pay the bill I didn't agree to. NEVER go to the Don K service department. If you are forced to, RECORD EVERY CONVERSATION OR THEY WILL TRY TO SWINDLE YOU. read more

Tried for the 2nd time in 2 years to do business with my 'Home Town' dealership. The idiocy level of the personnel seems to get worse and worse each time we visit the dealership. Their used car manager looked at my car as a trade-in...drove it 'around the block', and returned with damage to the RF fender. He had obviously hit a wall...there was still concrete dust in the scratches. He and another little man ( position unknown) then told me I was imagining things, that my car was worth half of Kelly Blue Book evaluation, and, basically mocked me for my insistence that Dan ?? had damaged it. Needless to say, we are not getting our Jeep from them, and, in fact, will NOT buy a Jeep 'cos they are the only service dealership close by. I was very disappointed that on the Don K website there is a button that says value your trade. In doing so and entering all your vehicles information including VIN number Don K gives you the trade in value for your vehicle. After spending two hours at the dealership waiting for them to inspect my vehicle they provided a different valuation. I was very disappointed to learn that the dealership was not aware of the trade value function on their own website and low balled my trade by over $7,000 than what they offered online. My trade is very clean and should not have been off by this much. I felt like this was a total bait and switch. read more

Had to replace a factory-warranted Radio/GPS unit that failed - just before Thanksgiving and guys ar the service desk had clearly checked out mentally at 430 pm when we came in to drop car off for service. None of the 3 guys at the counter could be bothered to look me in the eye to help and not particularly friendly when I asked if someone could help me. Not a great business model and given the odd encounters that I've had in the past with folks walking around in the showroom freely espousing their fringe political views to anyone who would listen, makes me think that a trip to Missoula or on-line auto broker will be our future if we want another Subaru, Jeep or other brand where DonK is the only local choice. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. Had my brother-in-law come in to look at a rig after being harassed about setting up an appointment to come see it (mind you they texted them at 12am!). Had to go in to grab some parts for my rig and when he walked in there were a few people and no one tried to help him or call anyone to come help him. They looked at him and went back to working on their business. He finally found (by looking around himself) where the parts were. What dealership has no one on the floor to greet customers? I always have heard such mixed things about Don K but this finally but the nail in the coffin for me. If you're from out of town or don't have the right look don't bother with this place. Got maintenance done on my car and they forgot to put the radiator cap back on. My home was a couple miles from the shop. Once I got home, I called them and told them what happend and they said "you can't prove that" and left me with a broken car. Also my friend got a brand new truck and they took out the stuff to change the tire. Then wanted almost 200 dollars for it. Also seen one of the service guys back into a mini cooper, I doubt they said anything. read more

I found the sales staff to be professional, straight forward, and friendly, and picked up a new truck while leaving all the hassle behind. From initial greeting to signed documents, the entire process took about five hours (out over the course of a few days). The team was able to address a number of requests regarding logistics, trade-ins, and add-ons. (Granted they are running a for profit company, but I left knowing a good solid deal was made). They made a bit of money, and I drove off in a new truck without any hassles, headaches, or feeling as if I was taken advantage of. When I pass these folks in town, it would be easy to say hello and wish them well when we part ways. If you are looking to fight it out over the last 500 Dollars they will likely make it a good fight, but, on the other hand, if your looking for a fair, easy, and fast sale I would give these guys a chance. This was a vastly different experience then the one I had encountered from a Kalispell dealer who is no longer in business (previously located near the old Walmart). I will keep you posted on the longterm dealer maintenance; however, I have been working with them over the past few years without any issues. Would I buy another vehicle from them? I have a Jeep Wrangler which I love and no regrets EXCEPT for the experiences I have had with the Service and Parts department. Recently I ordered a soft top - the parts department ordered a 4-door instead of a 2-door - I had various conversations to say it was the wrong part and that I had a 2-door - they assured they had it right - of course when I came to pick it up it was for a 4-Door 4. No apology or attempt to acknowledge their mistake. Getting in for any service is impossible and very expensive unless under warranty. I don't believe anyone actually listens to the feedback and that is frustrating. Sometimes a simple acknowledgment goes a very long way. I left a message directly about my concerns no one called me back. So I am left writing a review - may be it will help encourage someone at Don K to listen - I imagine at times the job is hard yet I don't think they care about customer service - maybe they don't have too. There is not another Jeep service center within 50 miles - still this saddens me. read more

Nothing but trouble with brand new 2016 Jeep Renegade. This is NOT an all-terrain, off-road vehicle. Doesn't stay on the road and cannot stand up to a Montana winter, despite having to buy four snow tires. I am on my second winter and 3 tows. New factory battery was defective and caused two additional call-outs for service. I have been stranded with this car more times than all other previous cars I have had. Don K Jr. was no help when we approached the dealership about the problems. Arrogantly told me if I had bought one of their big pick-ups for $60,000 I wouldn't have a problem. That being said, service department was professional & helpful, no thanks to Donk Jr. Please beware. My husband just called this vehicle a ditch dweller. My third Jeep. We were in Kalispell, trying to decide if we wanted to retire in this town. I woke up from the hotel and saw something leaking from under my jeep. It was 25 degrees outside so I thought for sure whatever it was, it wasn't water because that would of froze right? Anyway I took it to Don K, and they put if right on the lift for me and conducted an inspections. I went do the Don K dealer ship to price a 2017 pick up truck the first sales person was very help full he was trying very hard to answer all the questions I had. He needed to ask about a question I had about finance so he went to get help, not a problem , but then his supervisor came out saying something about controversy then the supervisor started in with the high pressure tactics and that what caused the sales person to lose my sale and another sale that I know of. I was there between1215pm until about 1pm on11/28/2017 . I really hope no one else has the same high pressure experience from that supervisor I had it was totally un called for I had to let the sales person know why he lost the sale because of his supervisors unprofessional high pressure tactics. This was the most traumatizing experience we ever had. We bought a new 2019 1500 Ram almost a year ago. The truck was defective and endangered our lives before we even got home. We put it in for repair and although, we were told it was fixed, we almost got killed with the same issue for the second time. The dealership would not help. They pretended they didn't know what we were talking about. This could not be true because we found a Bulletin Alert which was set to Don K about the steering problem we were experiencing a year before our purchase. We have had to hire an attorney and have spent thousands trying to resolve this situation. The truck has not been used and is in storage. Chrysler and Don K are still trying to make us pay and will not change out the truck. We have been paying close to $700 per month for almost a year and the dealership is totally against us. We were driving across country in my 2000 Grand Cherokee. We had gone almost 3000 miles and we had another 3000 to go. We were taking the round about way from DC to San Diego. We woke up one morning in Whitefish and my car would turn over but wouldn't start. I jumped it from a friendly neighbor at the hotel and drove it directly to Don K. I told them what was wrong and they said they would look at it. I told them my situation and basically wrote them a blank check to do whatever it takes to get my Jeep in working condition. They called me back two hours later and told me to come in. They told me I had a weak battery and they recommended replacing it. They showed me a diagram of my car with a review of all the fluids, tire wear, and overall maintenance condition of my car. They stated it was in good shape. In all, I bought a new battery and only lost two hours of my vacation in Glacier. Don K was honest and provided superior customer service. I would recommend this place to all my friends. read more

We paid over $600 to have transfer case seals fixed. They said they would have case in half and would inspect every component. When we picked it up they said we would be good for 50,000 miles! 6 weeks later it was leaking again and they had left wiring harness over driveline causing major damage. They cobbled wiring back together and they charged us again to fix another seal. And noted the "fluid was very dark in color already" . A few weeks later transmission failed due to a seal in transfer case allowing transmission fluid to leak into transfer case. Causing the fluid to be very dark in color as stated on receipt. When asked about the seal the wanted to charge us a third time. Service manager lied to us saying this is impossible. We have statements from a 35 year master mechanic saying this is a common repair. So we made a complaint with the better business bureau, and the service manager flat out lied to them. Saying the wires were hanging on drive line due to mud caked on them. The wires were supposed to be mounted to the top of the crossmember under the driveline, making his lies impossible! Would stay away from there!!! read more
