I originally decided not to leave this review when I purchased my truck about a year ago, but after my most recent experience, I feel obligated to share what has happened. When I originally came to pick up my approximately $35,000 truck, I was told it was being detailed. I waited more than two hours for it to return. When it finally came back, a 17-year-old was driving it and a Copper Mountain drink had been spilled in my cupholders. The ceramic coating I was expecting had also not been completed. When I complained to my salesperson about the condition of my supposedly freshly detailed vehicle, I was essentially told there was nothing they could do because the driver was the detailing company owner's son. I ended up taking the truck home and cleaning the sticky mess myself. Unfortunately, my experience since then hasn't improved. The truck was provided to me with two key fobs. I only used one after purchasing it, and I'll acknowledge that I should have tested both before leaving the dealership. I trusted that when a dealership handed me two keys with the vehicle, both were functional. I recently discovered that the second fob does not work. I have now taken the truck to a professional automotive locksmith, who attempted multiple times to program the second fob using professional programming equipment. The truck would not recognize it. I paid $140 for those attempts and still have only one functioning key. I contacted Corwin about the fob and ultimately spoke with a sales manager. Rather than even inspecting the fob or vehicle, I was told, "I'm not just gonna go hand out keys to customers, especially if it's been a year." I understand that a year has passed, and I accept responsibility for not testing both fobs immediately. However, I'm not asking the dealership to replace a key that I lost or damaged. I'm asking them to address a second fob that they supplied with the truck and that apparently was never functional with the vehicle in the first place. What made the situation even more frustrating is that I don't live locally. After contacting the dealership, I drove approximately six hours because I was told this couldn't be handled over the phone. After making that trip, I was initially told the salesperson who sold me the vehicle was unavailable and that I would need to return another day. When I eventually reached management, they refused to address the fob because approximately a year had passed. I also experienced problems with CarPlay and OnStar within roughly two months of purchasing the truck, which I subsequently learned were not covered by the warranty I purchased. I have tried repeatedly to resolve these issues rather than immediately leaving a negative review. Unfortunately, my experience with the sales side of this dealership has left me extremely disappointed. Their quick-service technicians have been the one positive part of my experience, and I want to give them credit for that. But based on my experiences with the sales department and how this most recent issue was handled, I cannot recommend purchasing a vehicle here. Not a good experience, as soon as warranty nearing end. Since purchasing my Chevy car in 22 I've had a few unpleasant/dishonest experiences with Corwin. 1) Oil Change while under warranty (3rd and 4th oil changes (covered) I was told they were no longer covered. Went in, talked to some service manager (short dark hair who was insanely unpleasant and condescending), eventually resolved and came back to service to wait in line again, and re-battle. Ended up they were still covered! 2) last oil change, guy tells me I need new air filter and shows me one - I decline. (I waited 2 hours in their lobby that day for an oil change when I had an appt). On following oil change (at a sep business), I asked about that filter and the mechanic said, "Nope, it does not need to be replaced it's fine". 3) This week, took car in for sensor issue, called 5 hours later with a long list of fixes - told them I would decide later and drove back to pick up car (service manager tells me a guy is test driving my car and had been gone for 10 minutes *Why are they test driving my car 5 hours after having it and had already diagnosed??) 30 minutes later I show up and my car is still out. It did not return for 15 more minutes. So they had my car out driving around for 55 minutes??? Post diagnosis and had been told not to work on any of the issues? 4) The driver who had my car, left used dental floss in my car. 5) Called today to find out why my transmission sensor issue isn't covered on my Transmission/Drive Train warranty (still covered through today, and the only reason I took to Corwin) and told in a very condescending manner, that it is not covered and again, a passive-aggressive person on the other end of the line. Obviously taking my car issues to another mechanic. The person this last time, who I handed over my keys to was at least respectful, the rest of the experience, not so much. read more

I would give the GM store a ZERO if there was one. Poor business practices. They don't follow up when you request info after a sale. They charged me an extra $399.00 on the Audi Q3 I purchased from them. I'm still having issues getting my refund. No one on that premises knows what's going on and keep pushing things around. It's so very sad. Lance, a so-called manager said he would take care of what I needed. It's been month. Others try and blame us as a customer for things that are incorrect on the car. Jack for instance. Never I went to the top and got nowhere. PLEASE do not trust them. They should NOT be in business. Now the Honda dealership is another story. They are responsible and follow through. My family has purchased many cars from them, BUT NEVER will we ever do business with the GM portion of Corwin. Don't deal with this dealership. Absolute garbage and shady all around. Inquired about a vehicle from out of state. Salesman Mike McLean was super pushy the entire time to get me to buy even though the vehicle wasn't even ready yet. I should've known better when the first interaction based on the carfax they've already had the car an entire month. He told me they've had it two days. He acted like I was inconveniencing him the entire time. He clearly didn't even know what was going on with the vehicle. Giving me tons of different stories on it being serviced and then contradicting himself saying he doesn't know what's done to it. Continued to push me to buy even had the sales manager lance rogers call me on a weekend to try and put a deposit on it 14 minutes before they closed. Once again, without the vehicle even being cleaned yet and still in service for an issue with no idea how long it'd take to fix. Finally, on a Monday I decided to go ahead and put a REFUNDABLE deposit on it. Apparently they only do non refundable and I was the exception cause they're so nice but I know better and got it refundable, given I still haven't even seen it cleaned up yet. The next day they finally sent me updated photos with it washed, only took a week. Just to see they installed a front plate bracket drilling holes in the bumper (it never had one before and the cars been in Montana its entire life) this upset me as I don't need a front plate in my state and they just ruined an expensive bumper when they could've just asked me first knowing I'm out of state. They don't HAVE to install that. Anyways, I simply told Mike I was upset about that, never said I wanted to back out or get it fixed. And he immediately pushed to refund me even though I still would've taken the vehicle if he wasn't so rude about it. It's clear he didn't want my business since I got a good deal on it and he'd rather pawn it off to some local sucker and he'd have less work to do. Connie was rude and placed blame on the other departments at Corwin and informed me that the police are "ding dongs " for pulling over an unregistered vehicle and that she would take it down in a couple days to drop it off. Bought a new 2026 GMC Sierra SLT. I have since regretted the purchase. First, a $66,000+ vehicle should have a HomeLink ability to connect the vehicle to garage doors. Unfortunately I didn't know that it didn't have that feature until after I had finalized the sale. Since even entry level vehicles from most manufacturers have that feature I foolishly assumed an upline GMC Sierra would be similarly equipped . My mistake, but it doesn't make it better since I am constantly reminded by the fact my sun visor now has to host multiple remotes. Today I have just completed my first service. When I got the report from Corwin, it says the tires are starting to wear and replacement may soon be needed. The truck only has 6600 miles. When I expressed my surprise and dismay I was told GMC always puts the cheapest tire possible on the new trucks and most people replace them prior to 20,000 miles. I have rapidly gone from enjoying a new truck to worrying about what shoe will drop next. Unlike my previous trucks I think this one is going to be a short term adventure. Maybe a Ford F150 or Toyota Tundra will earn a convert. I realize this review is more about GMC than Corwin, but I think the sales process should have made these issues transparent. read more

Called Corwin GMC with a repeat problem, just to be treated very poorly. The first time our GMC Yukon AT4s front air ride system froze up leaving us stranded with the front all the way down, in Dec of 2022 we took it in under warranty and they admitted there was a problem and GM knew it. The second time they said our vehicle is outside your warranty and to schedule an appointment even though they know it's an ongoing issue with these systems. But what made it worst was he lied that it isn't an ongoing problem. We took it to a local reputable auto repair center up by Fatboys where they said they get tons of vehicles in with this exact problem. Ended up being a software issue which they fixed as they knew the fix due to a memo sent out by GM. Why didn't Corwins read the memo or maybe they did but just wanted to soak another customer. I called the dealership and explained our delicate family situation and not having the emotional energy to do the "used car sales dance" and felt heard. I told Brandon that my aging mom was looking to transition from a Ram 1500 to something easier to get in and out of. I told him my price range and that we were coming from Helena and didn't want to waste each other's time with the "back and forth" I had been used to when buying a car. Corwin will leave you stranded and in the dark when your brand new (2025) car breaks. The buying experience wasn't great. Full of tired dealership tactics and games, but the reason for 1 star is our new car's transmission had issues in the first month of ownership and won't shift leaving my wife stranded (I'm using my wife's yelp acct to write this review). Brand new car dead in the water. Nearly a week after it $h!ting the bed and getting it towed to the dealership and they never bothered to reach out. When asked about getting a replacement / courtesy car, so we aren't stranded for weeks they were rude and said it's GM's responsibility. When we called GM they tell us to talk to Corwin. After nearly a week and 4-5 calls to GM we were told that if we go out and rent a car it MAY be reimbursed when this is all over. My wife has been without a car for nearly a week. In the meantime our 2 year old gets a bad fever and my wife has to run to the neighbors house to borrow a car to take him to the dr because I work 24-48hr shifts as a first responder. We have gotten zero help from Corwin, just tepid robotic answers. Corwin does not stand behind their cars and have been terrible every step of the way. The person helping me said that he had been busy with one customer for the past 3 hours and so hadn't gotten to my text. Um, okay, that's ridiculous. I said that I had checked the app and it said my car was still in inspection. He said that that app doesn't work. You know the app you texted me doesn't work? But you still let me use it to not get accurate information? The complete facade of communication is just outrageous. I asked the status. My serviceman took 20 minutes to check and then told me that it was being worked on right now, the final recall was in progress. I asked how long it would take (so I could decide whether to wait there) and he said one hour. Fine. It seemed really shady, though, so I took a walk and oh, wow, there's my car in the back parking lot, not being worked on. I walked back in and said hey, my car isn't being worked on, it's in the parking lot. My serviceman said, oh, he's at lunch. So....what's with the lying? I don't get it. I was told my car was being worked on right now and it sure the heck wasn't. Had previously purchased several vehicles from them, and had an offer in on a used Camaro, which they sold out from underneath us without ever contacting us, for a lousy $250 more, and to someone out of state, no less. Tried to order a pickup truck. They said they didn't know how to do that. WTH?? Kept pushing to purchase one off the lot, but they didn't have what my husband wanted. Then the Camaro thing happened, and they lost our business entirely. They could have had my husband's $75000 pickup, and we are now in the market for a new $45000 Traverse. We go to Missoula Chevrolet. They ordered my husband's truck the way he wanted in 15 mins. The latest is we recently tried to make an appointment for a problem with the touchscreen/infotainment on my Colorado, which I purchased from them in Nov of 2018 (the last of 5 vehicles we've bought from them). Apparently they are too busy to bother with this, and we were rudely told they don't want our business. We contacted Missoula Chevrolet, and they also stated they were busy, but if we could drop it off and leave it with them, they would try to squeeze it in. And when asked about it the manager said that the ad was what came from the dealership when it was new. He then said he would buy us lunch and that we could take it or leave it and walked off. Then I got in the vehicle and the gas tank was less then a quarter tank and I asked about that....the salesman said we only fill up our new vehicles not pre-owned. I reached out to the GM and he said that the have disclaimers all over their website and he left it at that. Scam artist, complete bait and switch company. I recently contacted Corwin as I was looking to sell my truck. Kelly Blue Book put them as a potential buyer. I contacted them, spoke to the representative and told him I had an old work truck I was looking to sell. I was very honest about the truck having dents and dings as it's been a construction work truck for my company for years. I sent pictures to the rep and we had a text message back and forth about conditions and such. I sent photos and asked if he needed any more to assess the vehicles value. We settled on it being towards the low end of the KBB value- $18,000. He said they could honor that price range. I was not about to drive 2.5hours one way to sell a rig with an unknown number guarantee. Upon arrival and inspection the used car guy tries to tell me there is hail damage to only the roof(not the hood) of the truck and that will knock $4k off it's value! completely baited me into driving 2.5 hours with multiple vehicles to then switch the price upon arrival. I run a business and charge $125/hour plus $1/ mile driven. Y'all wasted over $1,000 of my time and money. you cited hail damage on the roof, but not the hood? Clearly a scam attempt, but I'm not desperate for money and walked. Completely praying on folks, baiting them in and scam switching their price based on Lies. To be fair, there are a few people there who are nice, and somewhat helpful. But most of the staff is rude and useless. For example, when I took my car in for a service one early morning, I had to wait for over an hour to get a ride home. Even though there were multiple people just standing around talking and hanging out. You would think that with a lot full of vehicles and multiple employees just standing around, they could drive a person home rather than making them wait an hour. But no, instead I got a snarky remark telling me that there was nothing they could do and I would have to wait. After spending hundreds of thousands of dollars with them you would think the service would be a bit better. I could truly go on and on, but will spare you the time it would take to read it all. She was so fantastic, that we decided to purchase both a new 2020 truck and a new 2020 SUV. She helped us navigate through all the technology that new cars have. I brought my truck in to trade in and purchase another larger tow capacity truck. My salesperson was Kara Krause and I highly recommend her. The process was much the same I have experienced in my life buying cars. A bit of back and forth to come to a price. A few things that could have made the experience a five star. Every car I have bought in the last 20 years they fill your gas tank which didn't happen here and not until the end of the process I learned there was only one key fob for the used truck. This is a pain since today I am going to buy another one... you need at least two in the event you loose one. Anyway my fault cause I know these things should be included but didn't ask. We recently purchased my husband's new truck from Eisinger in Kalispell. After visiting many dealerships, we decided to drive 3 hours to buy from them. Truck aside, this company could use a bit of help in the customer service department. 1) If someone is driving in from out of town to see a specific truck or car (and put a deposit down to hold it) it's customary to have it clean. The truck had crumbs in all of the cup holders... even sticky goo in some spots. When we decided to purchase it and I asked if it would be vacuumed and detailed, the salesman looked incredibly annoyed. 2) Because they gave us "such a deal," on our $30,000 truck... they wouldn't fill the gas tank all the way before we left with our new rig. REALLY?! You're going to lose future sales because of $30 to fill it beyond half a tank? Wow. When I asked the Salesman why, he told me his Sales Manager said he couldn't. 3) ZERO follow up. No thank you card, no call to see how we are liking it. Nothing. As someone who has been a customer service manager in hospitality and big-box retail... SHAME ON YOU! We won't be back and we certainly won't be recommending your dealership to our friends, family or co-workers. I hope the $30 you saved on gas and 10 minutes you saved NOT detailing the truck was worth it. read more
