Clark Hyundai - Hyundai Elantra Hybrid 2023

Clark Hyundai

(15 reviews)

I can't give enough praise to the people at this dealership…read more.. We are out of state, but my husband ended up flying to their location to seal the deal and drive the car off the lot. This has LITERALLY been the best car buying experience of our life. My husband actually enjoyed himself! Brittlee was our salesman, and he was incredible. He was professional, courteous, and very helpful. He's one of the most pleasant salesmen that my husband has ever worked with. Thank you, Brittlee!! On the back end, we also worked with Robert. He was also very kind and professional, and answered any other finance/purchase questions that we had. We appreciate you, Robert! This dealership is a true gem. We purchased a 2023 Elantra Hybrid Limited, and hopefully we can get an Ioniq 5 from this location as well!

To put it plainly, purchasing a used vehicle from Clark Hyundai has become one of my biggest recent…read moreregrets. In mid-December 2025, I scheduled an appointment to look at a used Toyota they had listed. I arrived, test drove it, and raised a few concerns that could have affected my decision. When we returned to the dealership, I was then told the vehicle had already been sold and was only awaiting pickup. That was the first major red flag and showed a serious lack of communication between sales and management. The salesperson then presented me with another option: a used 2013 Hyundai Tucson. I was told the vehicle had an "impeccably clean" inspection and service record. Based on that representation, I moved forward. I traded in my vehicle, put an additional $1,200 down, and left believing I had purchased a reliable vehicle from a reputable dealership. Less than 3,000 miles and about two months later, the check engine light came on. The code was P2006 for the intake manifold. I contacted the dealership hoping for assistance or at least a reasonable conversation about repair costs. Instead, I received little communication and was left with a $500 repair bill. I assumed the issue had been fixed. Unfortunately, in early May, the vehicle began having problems again while driving. The RPMs climbed while the speed stayed stagnant, so I pulled over and restarted the vehicle. The check engine light came back on. When I scanned it, the same P2006 code returned. I called the dealership and explained that the same issue had come back after I had already paid them to repair it. I also explained that I am now in East Glacier Park for the summer and do not feel comfortable driving the vehicle along Route 2 in its current condition, especially in areas with little to no cell service. I asked for help towing it back to their facility for diagnosis and was told they would not provide a tow. This is extremely frustrating. The same issue appeared shortly after purchase, I paid Clark Hyundai to address it, and now the exact same code has returned. From my perspective, the original repair did not properly resolve the problem. I have made multiple attempts to contact the dealership, including voicemails for the General Manager, emails, and LinkedIn messages. Those attempts have gone unanswered. I understand the vehicle was purchased "as-is," but that does not excuse poor communication, lack of accountability, or failure to properly address a recurring issue. I was sold a vehicle represented as having a clean inspection and service history, yet within months I have had repeated mechanical problems and almost no meaningful support. At this point, I am asking for basic accountability and a reasonable solution. I expected far better customer care from Clark Hyundai. UPDATE: I received an inspection report showing the vehicle was 14,000 miles overdue for an oil change when they took it in. This raises serious concerns for me about material misrepresentation. UPDATE 2: I received a quote from another repair shop because I no longer have faith in Clark Hyundai to properly address the issues. My total repair costs since purchasing this "impeccably clean" vehicle are now around $2,000. My advice: steer clear of this dealership.
