When we walked in the building smelled like a bar, not a restaurant. We are from out of town so we decided to stay. The service was very slow and the waitress was not at all friendly. She got even less friendly when I ordered in Spanish. I guess I shouldn't know Spanish! lol The shrimp in the ceviche was tough and it had no heat at all. The fajitas were good. The enchilada looked like something from a child play kitchen and were pretty much flavorless. The green sauce was tasty, and mild. We received our check before our food was brought out to the table. Food is delish no matter what you get! It's in my opinion beating the other Mexican cuisines near by. Service is usually pretty good. Servers are fast and attentive but not too in your face. The atmosphere is nice they have separated dining rooms and I think one private room for a party of 8 which is nice. Alcohol menu is decent sized and the best drink to me is frozen margaritas mango specifically for me. The churros for desert is phenomenal. Now normally I don't like Mexican or Tex-mex meals but this place changed that view. The food was great, the service was great, and the wait for the food was good too. I ordered the shrimp quesadilla with some white queso dip, and to say that it wasn't the best quesadilla I ever had would be a lie. The quesadilla had the best texture and taste, the shrimp was well cooked, and the rice and beans that came with it were spectacular. Great food. Fast service. Polite staff. Everyone was very attentive. I got the Chimichanga, it was fried perfectly, the shredded chicken had great flavor. Served with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, guacamole and sour cream on the side. I got double rice instead of beans and rice. The rice could use a little more seasoning, but then again I ALWAYS pour salsa into my rice at Mexican restaurants. I would definitely return for my next craving of Mexican food the next time in Tupelo again. Also, a BIG plus in my opinion, it was very clean! Stopped in Tupelo for the night on the way to Gulf Shores AL. Searched area around hotel for something to eat. Came across this little restaurant. Me arrived 15 min before their close time. They still seated us. Didn't figure we would get great food it being so late and then wanting to close. I was wrong. Staff was very friendly and took care of us like we were the first customer of the day. Food was awesome. So good we stopped again on our way home to eat again. That's how good our food was. Very Poor Service! Walked in and there was not a hostess. We waited and she eventually came and sat us down, we then waited 10 minutes and never was approached by anyone to take order for our drinks, or bring us chips and salsa. I had to go back to the hostess and let her know at which time she asked where she had sat us. She took our drink orders and brought us chips/salsa and stated that he would be right over to take our order. Worst service ever! Waited 15 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. It wasn't busy. There may have been 10-12 people dining in on a Monday at 12:30. They finally brought our chips and drinks 12 minutes after taking our drink orders. They then took our food order (which was pretty damn simple) and we waited another 30 minutes for that. The chips were all in little tiny pieces. Somebody at another table complained and asked for some bigger chips. It wasn't until after eating, that our waiter asked if we needed anything. This is a small Tex Mex place in Forrest City AR inside the Holiday Inn. I travel back and forth from Memphis to Little Rock every week, and sometimes twice a week and like to stop off on the way home for a quick dinner if running late. A few years ago, this place stayed packed and it was hard to even find a parking spot. The service and food quality has dropped off dramatically over the years. Without going into to much detail about my meal I will simply say that it was very bland compared to other Tex Mex places, service was slow, and I had to ask three time to get my order of over whipped guacamole. I think I'll pass on by for the next few months but keep them in my places to stop in Forrest City. read more

The food was great! We went on a Monday and ordered off the lunch menu. We also only got water to drink. Our meal should've been around $14 or so but when I got the check it was over $20! I asked our server why so high and apparently the price only applied to shredded chicken. Huh? Didn't get that since the lunch menu prices were stated. The place was much less than busy. 8 out of 10 meals were incorrect. 2 out of 10 meals came out 10 minutes late (7 minutes into which, after the other 8 people have been eating, the waiter says "your meals are going to be late"....). We were charged for a side we didn't get. And when we spoke the manager and told them we had an awful experience, the managers response was "I know". No apology, nothing. Pitiful. read more

I came in last night with 18 other individuals to celebrate a family member's birthday. We all ordered together and out of 18 people the very last meal to come out was my 3-year old daughter's plate. It came out nearly 10 minutes after everyone else's (I KNOW they forgot to make her food but never said they did). She ordered the kid's chicken nugget & fry plate. She began to eat and I quickly noticed that her chicken nuggets were RAW! I don't even know if she ate any of them but I was irate. After telling the server he then asked if she wanted anything else. YES! She was crying because she was so hungry, the last to be served, and then I had to send them back due to being raw. She wanted her dinner! The second plate came back about 15 minutes later and I thoroughly inspected them to make sure they were done (they were), and I asked to speak to a manager. The manager that came over had a smirk on his face and didn't seem to care that a 3-year old received her food last AND it was raw. He merely offered to discount my bill. Unacceptable! I then told him I didn't want to pay for her dinner at all and I wanted a discount on mine. My daughter's meal was free and I was only given a mere $0.82 discount after having to deal with all of that. It is completely unacceptable to serve a child last; they should be served as quickly as possible. My daughter was just starting to eat her dinner 30 minutes after all 17 of us had finished and the table was cleared of plates. I was disgusted with the service, the attitude of the manager, and the food that my child was served. Raw chicken served to anyone can risk food poisoning and that should be a red flag to a restaurant. If I could give this restaurant negative stars I would. Save your money! read more
