They made sure we were comfortable with our seats, that our drinks were what we wanted, explained the appetizers to us if we had questions. I won't be coming back here, and honestly, I should've trusted the reviews, they have two stars for a reason. It was a Saturday night, and the place was packed, so my sister and I already expected things to be a little slow. No big deal. We ordered the Triple Dipper with bone‑in buffalo wings and double eggrolls to share. When the food came out, we noticed we had three cups of regular ranch. Usually, the eggrolls come with avocado ranch, so we waited for our server, Shelby, to come back so we could ask for the right sauce and some small plates. It took a bit, but again, it was busy. When Shelby came back, we asked for avocado ranch, blue cheese, and the small plates. We started eating the wings while we waited, and they were overcooked. Shelby brought everything out, but the avocado ranch was chunky, and I've never seen it look like that anywhere. I added a photo because it was honestly shocking that someone thought that was okay to serve. When she checked on us again, my sister asked if we could get the avocado ranch that actually comes with the eggrolls. Shelby said that was it, they just "didn't mix it well." We asked if the kitchen could make a new one, and she said she'd check. She came back apologizing, saying the chef said no. She offered a different sauce, but at that point we didn't want anything else. Shelby was nice and did what she could, but the issues coming from the kitchen, the overcooked wings and especially the chunky avocado ranch, were a huge letdown. Given its mainstream franchise status, the food and service were both surprisingly decent. As with many places these days, they offer the portable ziosks to pay at the table, without having to try and flag down your server. I find this little detail highly convenient. The service staff was in need of more training. We had to ask 2 times queso dip. We had loud bumping music coming from kitchen which gave us a headache. We had to ask twice to turn it down. Plus my burger was not cooked medium rare and my husbands steak pieces in his meal were burnt. What I was upset about was an elderly man who was given a to go box was not given a bag. Plus he was eating alone and was using a walker. Not one waitress or waiter who walked past him offered to open the doors for him to go out. Waiting staff need to be observant. Went here on a whim. Came to Tupelo from Starkville searching for Busch light apple and found an experience that filled me with home grown warmth and comfort instead. I absolutely LOVE going to chilis!!! We went when I was younger and didn't have the best experience but believe me when I say they have changed FOR THE BETTER!!! It's always amazing service and wonderful customer service no matter when we go!! The food is always delicious and there has never been a problem with our food or the wait time!! We did go on Mothers Day (one of the busiest days of the year) and they were out of a lot (which is my own fault, not theirs) and yet the food was still amazing and piping hot when it was served!! Have been here a half a year later and nothing has changed at this Chili's....dirty sticky tables, nobody that cares about service or how the restaurant is being managed because you see it with dirty tables not being bused, servers sitting around chit chatting than serving or engaging with customers, bad food...really bad food...actually really really bad food and don't call this Tex-Mex, it should be called Tex-Bad. Food is bad, service is worse, we're not coming back here....EVER! Bad quality ingredients from soup to brown salad greens or guacamole. What's worse is either the non-existent leadership nor management that lets these people not serve or care about their customers and the spiral quality of ingredients, menu items or the upkeep of the restaurant, very sad, I will NEVER come back, done!!! read more

They made us pay for our appetizers, which I would have been fine with in any other instance, except we had already waited 45 min at this point, and then another hour at least and ended up just leaving. I felt bad for our waitress because they are understaffed, but 2 hours? What's worse is we asked to speak to the manager regarding the issue and they said no. Manager stayed in the kitchen while another guy took the brunt. Other customers were going off on him so I know it wasn't just us. They are getting better after years of being awful. If you haven't been in year or two you can give them another try. The service was above average on our last visit. The food is pretty much what you would expect. It took the kitchen a little longer than I would have liked but it's improved vastly from a year or two ago. got there at 7:30pm and there was 7 of us we sat down at the table but we got our drinks and ordered 2 appetizers which came out pretty slow but was fine till they took out order and we waited for 2 hours to get our food which came in to go plates and bags as we are still sitting at the table they kept saying they was just waiting on 2 steaks which was 1 hour before actually bringing out the food. we watched other people with the same types of food get theirs even tho they got there after us so when we left (btw we didn't even get to eat our food we had been waiting so long) the manager told us he would still make us pay for the food we didn't pay for anything but the appetizers and the stuff we ofc had to take to go since we didn't take all of it we had him take it off. but personally i think we shouldn't have had to pay ANYTHING considering we left around 9:30!!!! Awful service. I never rate businesses and I consider myself pretty easy going and understanding. The experience is one we'll talk about for a long time. The hostess was rude so that should have been a sign to leave. If that's the first encounter then that should tell you everything you need to know about a restaurant. They didn't know how to work as a team. It's one thing to have to ask for something but if you're asking for everything from a where's our drinks you took the order 15 min ago, to refills, to a spoon, to napkins and so on then it makes you feel like a needy costumer all while having to remind the waitress at least two times for this stuff. The waitress was nice enough, kept saying sorry but maybe not trained well? Kept saying sorry in that- it's more of a habit to say sorry voice. I ordered a salad and it never came out. Finally just asked for it to go. The pasta that did come out was cold. It was just an over all unorganized shit show. read more
