I wanted to love it because everyone is downing it. I really really did. *sigh* Started off with a delay for a table. Limited capacity. I get it. But our party of 3 was to wait 15-20 min and a larger party walked right in and were seated right away. No big deal. I'll just go out for a cigarette while I waited. Young blond guy with tattoos says he wants a quick cigarette and then he will clock in and be right with us. He apologizes. Ok. No big deal. We get seated while waiting on Mr Blonde and our drink order is taken (by the person who said we had to wait). Hubby worked in food industry (including this particular location)and noted that it was shift change time and said that it was what to expect here. 2 menus for 3 people. Again a Covid thing so no big deal. We share and we decide and we order. Chips and salsa was delish. We got our food in a timely manner. It was fresh and delicious. Mr Blonde was obviously preoccupied but tried to be attentive. He said he was hosting, serving and dishwashing. Guy was running his butt off. We ordered dessert (main reason for coming). I had a free birthday dessert. He finally brought it out but our table was cluttered with all of the other dishes. We asked if he could clear some dishes that we had nicely stacked to the side and he apologized and said he would when he could but he didnt have time at the moment. We stop him again to ask for spoons for our dessert. And then I notice my dessert was on a very dirty plate. Again we stop him and politely ask for a new dessert and we explain why. He says we can have the dessert plated on the dirty plate. Um....no. That's gross. He helps me with the free dessert on the electronic table thing and I review my ticket. It was not rang up correctly at all. I again, have to stop him to correct it. I go to the restroom, which was filthy and was greeted by not one or two but 4 bugs. The food was good and our server worked his butt off. Of course we tipped him. However, with 37262 other restaurants in Tupelo, Chili's is unfortunately off of our list of places to dine. Good luck to Mr Blonde with tattoos. He is an asset and the most redeeming factor in our experience. I hope he is appreciated and compensated well for his hard work. read more

Dirty environment. Staff was unwilling to provide service. We asked for seating at the bar and they sat us. While we waited we noticed the servers standing around chatting and kept glancing us but would not even bring waters to the table or address us at all. My girlfriend and I both ordered the triple dippers with sliders, mozzarella sticks and chicken crispers. I got the honey chipotle crispers and she got plain. Server didn't write anything down so i figured she would mess something up and I was right. She served us our food and instead of chicken crispers we both just got boneless bbq wings. Ridiculous service. Appetizer came 10 mins after the main meal was served. "Oh we forgot, here's your onion petals." Mango margarita came as a traditional and they brought mango syrup for us to stir in ourselves, "You just need to stir it in, they didn't put much in it" Then the dessert had to be asked for even tho it came with the 2 for 25$. I hadn't been to Chili's in years. Someone had given me a gift card, so thought I'd give it a try. But, not before I took a look at reviews. I had a hard time believing what I read; this used to be one of my favorite places. I thought they couldn't be correct, but I was wrong. We arrived at the front door of Chili's about 4:00 PM, on a Saturday, to beat the crowd. A young male, who was talking on his cell phone, interrupted his conversation long enough to greet us. I told him a table for two please. He told us that there was no wait staff on duty, and if we wanted to eat, we should find a place at the bar. We did locate two seats at the bar; about the time we were seated, the bartender disappeared. We noticed that the only thing we saw anyone eating was chips and salsa. We wondered if the cook had made it to work yet. Did I mention that the restaurant was almost empty except for the bar. On the way from the front door to the bar, we noticed how dirty the entire restaurant was. We sat at the bar for about ten minutes with no sign of the bartender, so we left. So sad. read more

30-45 minute wait on Saturday night. Understandable. We run to the mall for an errand and come back. App says now we are 22nd in line. One hour and ten minutes later on our ride home, after we ate at 5 Guys, we get a text that our table is ready. Do the math: 30-45 minutes plus 1:10 hour later, we get that text. One, count them, one wait staff on the floor. The floor by the way looked like a 7th grade boys locker room floor. This is after corporate sent us a $25 gift card to come back from the last horrendous visit that ended with our waitress taking the survey off our table and marking herself "excellent" and saying she hated working at Chili's. Two questions: (1) how is this place still open? (2) does anyone want a gift card? You couldn't pay me to go back in that building. I love the food at Chili's but I am counting calories so I appreciate the lite options part of the menu. Today I ordered the Spicy Pasilla Chicken for 420 calories. I was very disappointed to receive the wrong sides with my chicken. (See pics) This would not have been so terrible if I had not already waited close to an hour to receive my meal. Yes they eventually made it right, but it was too much trouble and not worth the money and effort. The customer service at the Tupelo Chili's has gotten worse every time I have been, so I won't be back for some time. Personally I think it is the kitchen staff, not the servers. Where do I start I ordered half rack of ribs and my wife and our friend ordered the sirloin steak. Their steaks were okay but my ribs were cold and under cooked, I called our waitress over told her that my ribs were cold, she took them back and after 15 minutes she brings me a new order of ribs well I can't say they weren't hot but still undercooked, then I try the coleslaw and it was spoiled, so at this point I asked for a manager, he shows up and I tell him to taste the slaw and he smells it and said yes it's spoiled and he would take care of it. He did take my ribs off the bill. We paid for everything else even though he said he took care of everything. Will I go back ? If I do it won't be anytime soon. We used to love Chili's but this one in Tupelo isn't good. The waiter wasn't nice. It took about 10 minutes to bring our drinks after ordering them. He then brought the chips and salsa 10 minutes later and then our food 1 minute after that. My soup came out very cold. I never got a drink refill. My husband had to ask a few times for his refill, more salsa, and some steak sauce. The chips were burnt tasting. The entire experience wasn't good. Poor service, bad food, and staff that acts like they could care less if you enjoy your experience or not! Waste of money! We will not be back! read more

Went because it was walking distance from our hotel. Wish I would've looked at the reviews first. We ordered the 2 for $25. My wife's was fine but the 6oz steak was upgraded after I said no to the upgrade and it had no flavor and was really over cooked. We had to ask for the desert. Waitress didn't come for refills on our drinks till we was ready to leave. I still got charged for the steak upgrade. Just overall bad service and the quality of food was par at best. read more

We normally love Chilli's but this one is horrible. I always hate leaving bad reviews but I downloaded yelp just to leave this review. We ordered to-go for the first time and we're disappointed. My grilled quesadilla was not even grilled and didn't come with the normal sauce. Both of my kids chicken tenders didn't come with a dipping sauce and I even asked for extra. My wife's salad didn't come with dressing. The guacamole didn't come with chips. Lastly we didn't even get our skillet cookie at all. If I can say one positive thing about this location is at least they messed up everyone's meal. I mean if you going to do something do it all the way, and they did. This is our 3rd time ever going to Chili's and not going back anytime soon. We got sat as soon as we went in. We had to wait about 5 minutes before getting greeted. Then it took awhile for us to get our drinks. After a total of 20 minutes sitting there we was finally asked if we was ready to order. We ordered the Chicken Bacon Ranch quesadillas appetizer and the Fajita trio to split as a meal. We waited 30-35 minutes for our app to come out and on each quesadilla there one little piece of chicken on it. Then when when we asked to be moved bc some little kids was hitting my boyfriend in the head that was sitting behind us and being really loud they acted like it was a problem. When they did move us we was served our food and it wasn't plated like it was the first time we was there. It was just thrown together and mixed up. We didn't have silverwar, napkins, drinks, or straws bc of us moving. When asked the host for a couple of plates she has put them on the table in a rude way and acted like we was bothering her. We waited for a good 5 minutes before we got silver or napkins and before we could ask for some more drinks the guy (our server) turned and walked away from us before we had the chance to ask for them. So we had to get up and find someone to request for them. After we ate we was ready to go but the server never came back to the table to check on us. We waited for 15 minutes. So we walked to the front to ask for our bill so we could pay. We stood there for about 10-15 minutes before anyone came to get our card and then it took another 10 minutes before we had gotten our card back. I really don't see us returning to Chili's again. Took my two birthday kids here. Made them aware what the day was thinking they catch the huge hint of what we needed to make my kids day. One of my birthday kids received her meal well after my steak kid. My egg rolls were doughy tasting, was basically told that's how they suppose to taste. Chili's in Tupelo, MS seemed to be disregarding majority of the CDC implementations for COVID. Upon walking in, the host took his mask off to ask how many and a waitress directly behind him was as a table of guest with no mask on. We were seated in the bar area with direct view of the BOH-- the EXPO line specifically. The server came to our table to greet with her mask barely covering her bottom lip... 80% or her mouth exposed and 100% of her nose exposed. I asked her to properly wear her mask and she made an adjustment. In the view of BOH the two individuals on EXPO had NO face covering, many servers grabbed their drinks from the bar with no face covering. I did see the GM, Norm in the BOH on the line with proper face covering. I say al lithos to say in the industry there's a responsibility to protect the people at the table and yourself as a worker-- Chili's in Tupelo wasn't doing a great job to do either. I normally love Chilis! Especially the Southwestern egg roll, but this location leaves so much to desired. Which is a shame, because I had come here a few months earlier and had a decent experience. My husband and I went at the end of the lunch rush and it took a little bit of time to be seated, at least 6-7 minutes. When we were seated, we not only didn't see our server for almost 10 minutes, no one came to give us drinks. Get this, our server was too busy rambling to the table behind us and taking care of them. The woman training our waitress had to come serve us and she didn't come until she saw my husband get up to go look for someone. With that aside, we placed our drink and appetizer orders. We ordered the fried pickles, which were not bad but the drinks were a little flat, but nothing dismal. Once again, we waited a good minute before being to order our meals, I got a cheeseburger and my husband ordered some sort of cheese quesadilla with rice and black beans. My burger was on the dry and season less side (nothing ketchup couldn't fix I suppose) and it was missing a few dressings but oh well. My husband's quesadilla and black beans were good, but the rice wasn't completely cooked! Our waitress only refilled our drinks once - remember she was too busy chatting away. We were ready to pay and get out of there and once again it took so long to get the check, we just opted to pay at the table kiosk instead of the usual way and left. We sat at the bar for lunch thinking it would be quicker to get in and out. Wrong. Bartender had zero motivation whatsoever and had a knack for disappearing for most of our lunch. Had to ask for a refill, our chips and salsa never came out before our lunch and had to ask for that too. The food was pretty good, I had the boneless wings and my girlfriend got the tortilla soup. It all took a long time to come out as well. I'd say we sat there for a solid hour. I'd like to give it another chance, but I may give it a while to see if management turns over first. I don't usually review chain restaurants because I don't think anyone needs guidance on what the food tastes like. I happen to rather enjoy Chili's food. They make a really nice house salad, I love the chips and salsa. Everything fried is pretty good and their takes on TexMex are interesting sometimes. The dry rub ribs are not outstanding, but serviceable. They still have no idea how to steam veggies or make rice. Paying your check through the kiosk instead of waiting on staff is the best thing ever. So it should be apparent that I'm more or less a fan. This particular location ruins all of that with the worst service you'll find. Clueless college kid staff that are more concerned with showing you their tattoos or piercings or flexing for the next table than getting the order right. Being herded into the bar because the dining area is underserviced. Seating a quiet couple next to a table full of rowdy infants on a mommy margarita lunch when the place is half empty. Southwestern salads with ranch dressing instead of Southwestern. Asking me what kind of dressing I want on a Caesar. Not knowing what comes with the meal ordered. Avacado salad with no avacado. I once ordered a strawberry lemonade and they brought me lemonade with the strawberry shot at the bottom and told me to stir it up myself, the bar was busy. I looked over and the bar WAS busy flirting with college age girls sitting at the bar. Once ordered dry rub ribs and was brought wet ribs. Pointed this out and she took the plate back. 10 mins later, I got the same plate back with the sauce wiped off and dry rub dashed heavily all over it. Idiots didn't even hide it - the sauce was still peeking through in places. When you are lucky enough to get things right, the food tends to be good. I'm convinced that almost all the problems here come from the wait staff. read more
