The food was decent. If you are looking for accommodation to your burritos, tacos, and quesadillas to be made with no veggies this is not the place. We ordered a quesadilla with shredded chicken w no veggies and no cheese at all. The waitress said they cannot take the veggies out the shredded chicken. I am assuming they cook the chicken with the veggies?? (Peppers, onions etc.) I just went ahead and ordered it so I could pick the veggies out and it have no cheese in it. Well.. when my quesadilla came out instead of the cheese being on the inside it was all over the top of my quesadilla and all over the plate. The waitress mistaked me asking for no cheese as no cheese in just the inside?? Doesn't make much sense. That and the dirty bathroom was our main concern other than the long wait for food. Best TexMex I've ever had! I love the way they do their chunky guacamole with some peppers and tomatoes. The Mex street corn was fabulous, and the spinach enchiladas were tasty. I'm a vegetarian, but the meat dishes made me reconsider for a moment. I was visiting a buddy in the hospital, and D'Casa was close by, so I made way across five lanes for one of my favorite meals ever! ...and where are the sidewalks in Tupelo? Next time I'll take a car instead of risking my life. I'd eat here every day if I lived in Tupelo. read more

Colleagues took us here for lunch, said it was good Mexican food or Tex-Mex (variety of Fajitas) ok, but "I'm from San Diego". We pull up to D' Casa, and i said I've eaten here before, i remembered that I didn't care for. But we went anyway. Party of 7, only had to wait 5 minutes, cute décor, tattered chairs. Colleagues liked their shrimp fajitas, chimichanga's, wings, enchiladas and street tacos. I for the other hand love true Mexican food, this isn't it. What is this white goo on my veggie quesadilla? Nicely seasoned vegetables in my quesadilla but no melted real cheese in it, enchilada had the same white goo over it. Salsa was blended tomato with no seasoning nor jalapeño or heat or cilantro 1) the server forgot some of the items we ordered, half the dishes, had mixed up or forgotten sides, I asked what type of tamales they have, she didn't know (we'll go to the kitchen and ask), 2) either kitchen out of sync or the server is not checking dishes before bringing it to the table or both, 3) two colleagues didn't get their dishes until others had finished eating their meals, when asked, "it's coming", 4) server didn't even check in us once, 5) colleague had to go up to her to cancel appetizers that didn't come before our meals, 6) automatically charged me 18% gratuity for our party, which is fine, if the service was acceptable, I'd complain or not pay it, but hey, I was a server too and she could have been having an off day, no big deal, paid it. Great restaurant. I loved that they had a salsa bar. We always ask for a more spicy salsa, as the house salsa is generally no spice most places. Their salsa bar had great selection to get a good salsa. Salad bar is also included with every meal. We did not have any so I can't give a review on it. My husband and I lived on the AZ/MX border for 6 years and ate in Mexico often. We came to love a good authentic street taco. We travel full time now and are interested in trying a Mexican restaurant wherever we go as that became our favorite cuisine. Not all street tacos are made equal and I have found that many in the states put pineapple in their al pastor of which I'm not a fan. This place has good al pastor street tacos and it comes with great presentation with a big grilled jalapeño on the plate. There was of course the pineapple of which I've learned to pick out. My husband had what was called P5, which was chicken over rice with cheese sauce. He rated it as plain. The cheese had mostly absorbed into the rice so wasn't real moist but we had gotten a side of cheese dip and so he was able to have that as some extra. I ordered the Seafood Carnitas. I try to eat whole foods and don't eat wheat. This eliminates a lot of Mexican dishes. Carnitas is often beef or chicken grilled in cast iron with onion and peppers. This seafood dish was amazing. It exceeded my expectations by a whole bunch and was accompanied by a second huge plate with beans and rice. I could have fed Seal Team 6 with all that. The service was prompt, the atmosphere unique and the price very reasonable. Elvis picked up the tip and off I went. read more

My husband and I stopped here for dinner after going to the Rv and Boat show. They have excellent frozen margaritas. In my opinion our food was over cooked and dry. My first visit here was on a Thursday at 11:30am and it wasn't yet busy, so i was quickly seated I ordered the fresh table side guacamole and the chicken chimichanga. The guac was very good as ONC might expect when it's fresh-made. The chicken in the chimi had good seasoning, so it did taste pretty good. The restaurant was clean and inviting. Our waiter was very courteous and attentive and did a great job in making the guacamole. I would eat here again if I'm in the area and in the mood for Mexican food. read more

I've never had a problem with this restaurant until recently. After working two months out of town, I ate there my first week back home. About three weeks later I'm checking my bank statement and see a new charge for the same amount. So I go to the bank to be sure then call to speak to their manager. Wished they had vegan options such as soy meat, Beyond Meat or seasoned tofu and yucca fries or sweet plantains on the menu. It is so hard to find vegan options in Mississippi. But the atmosphere is nice and staff is friendly. This is just from one view of not having any kind of plant based meat options. I think I've tried every Mexican Restaurant in tupelo, even the other 2 that go by the same name, but this is hands down the best tasting food at any Mexican Restaurant in Tupelo. Ok, I waited till I got further down here to say this because if you'd read this part first you'd have probably dismissed the whole review, but I've been vegan for about 2 years now, and if you've never tried that, let me tell you, it's a little tough to find variety in Tupelo Ms, so that being said, I KNOW what fresh vegetables taste like, and when they've been prepared properly,, and these guys are hitting on all cylinders, service, promptness, price, portions and most certainly on food & flavor. We stopped and ate here late one evening on our long drive from OK to FL. The food was really good, and I disagree w the other reviews that said the fajitas weren't good. Not one of us had a bad thing to say and we are somewhat of Mexican food snobs. :) The real reason I am giving them 5 stars is for their incredible customer service tho. We drove another 3 hours past before stopping for the night and I didn't realize my purse was missing until the next morning. I called and got no answer the first time because it was 8:45 and they don't open til 11. I got a call back from Mario, however, just minutes later and he asked permission to check my wallet to make sure it was in fact mine. It was. He was willing to go to the post office right then to ship it to me, but we decided to have them hold it there for a week until we made it back through on our way home. We just stopped to pick it up and everything is still there, cards, cash, everything! I was incredibly thankful to have had that happen where it did. I don't think my belongings would have lasted as long as they did had I left it in any other restaurant. So just know, when you eat here, you are coming to a very trustworthy, incredible place where the staff go above and beyond, even when they aren't open to make sure that their customers are taken care of! The food here is just a little bit superior to the Mexican food you can get all over town, but the service is usually wonderful! It's our home away from home and the drinks are pretty good. Alambres are great and the Enchiladas Rancheras are also pretty awesome. The roast pork on top is pretty darn good. read more

Unless you just want mexican food and are stuck around that area just avoid this place. I only go when my wifes car is at honda and I want a beer. No matter what I order taco wise I get right the opposite. If I want crunchy tacos I get soft tacos and vice versa. It's just not really worth it. There is also one in the mall that should be avoided. They bring out the wrong food, it's dirty, or the employees are yelling at each other. I have never met such an uneducated owner in my entire life. I finally turn 21 and I am impolitely denied because apparently it was fake. I have never been talked to in a more rude way at a restaurant and think they should get their liquor license taken away considering they do not know the difference between fake and a real id. I just left this place 20 minutes ago and let me tell you: good stuff. I'm from Southern California, so I know a thing or two about good Mexican food. I was pretty worried when I moved to the South that I could kiss Mexican food goodbye. Screw that noise, because D'Casa is pretty damn good. I ordered the carnitas and was very satisfied. Tasty everything. Including the pre-meal chips and salsa. The staff was great, very attentive and quick to react. I'll be a repeat customer for as long as I live in Tupelo. I forgot to mention the cleanliness and atmosphere: spot on. I'll be returning within the week, for sure. Thanks guys! read more
