Solid place to get sushi in the uptown area. Nigiri pieces are a little smaller that I am used to but the fish is night quality. I went here for lunch and got a combination with 5 pieces of omakase nigiri and maki roll, miso soup, cabbage salad, one piece of gyoza, and some edamame. All good, but left a little hungry. Overall very good sushi. Service was excellent.
Tried this place as a treat yoself meal, and man was it the right decision! Every piece of nigiri was unique and flavorful. On top of the quality of food, the specials and offerings here are incredible. They have different daily specials and they have very affordable omakase options. They make it easy to come back often without breaking the bank. I went on a Monday and took advantage of the $10 cocktails--the Old Fashioned was phenomenal. Easily one of the best I've had in the DFW area. The service was just as impressive. The wait staff was extremely attentive without being overwhelming, and everything felt smooth and well-paced.L I already can't wait to come back--I've got my eye on the Korean fusion omakase and more of the side dishes. Counting down the days until my next visit!

Our meal at DomoDomo exceeded expectations. From the location and stylish exterior to the beautiful interior and attentive service, the entire experience felt polished from start to finish. I ordered the matcha martini and enjoyed it so much that I had to get a second. The nigiri platter was thoughtfully arranged, and every piece was fresh and flavorful. We also tried the crudo, which was light, fresh, and delicious. Overall, it was a very successful dinner. DomoDomo is definitely on the pricier side, but it feels worth it for a date night or a special evening out.
Took my partner here for their birthday lunch and was extremely disappointed when they made no effort to minorly celebrate that. A different table got to have a sparkler dessert but we did not :( I don't even care if that's something not offered, however it is very distasteful that we were straight up forgotten and left out. Especially when I made a reservation specifically notating it was for a birthday and also reminding staff once we arrived. The interior is great with all the natural lighting. And the 4 course lunch set was fine, nothing too memorable or would make you want to come back. My favorite item was the hamachi crudo.

If I described the total eats experience in two words: boring and subpar. I'd return if I had a date because it's chic and has a vibe, but there are better options in the city if food is the focus.
Absolutely delicious. Saw this place on Uber Eats and got it for delivery. The mushroom roll was unique and really good. Everything tasted fresh too.

My wife and I got one order of the 3 course meal, a miso black cod, 2 nigiri of the A5 wagyu. The 3 course meal is definitely attractive with the hamachi crudo, 10 nigiri, 2 handrolls. The other courses were good but we were very impressed by the 10 nigiri and the quality of the fish. We then got the miso cod on the waiter's recommendation and it blew me away. So tender, moist, and it pairs very well with the puree and miso. We got the chile oil on the side since we can't handle spice well but I can see it also pairing very well with the dish. The wagyu of course was delicious and we are interested in trying the wagyu Korean salad entree next time. All in all a little bit under $100 before tax and tip. Finally the waiter surprised us with dessert since we were celebrating a special occasion. The Hojicha pudding honestly caught us by surprise. It's a subtle tea flavor and was thoroughly enjoyed by us. Finally we have to give a shout out to Lee our waiter. He was so attentive and respectful. He made our night even better. Would definitely come again!
Wow!! I was not expecting such fancy and calm atmosphere as soon as I walked through the doors. The environment is so clean, calm and relaxing. I ordered the sushi set which came with fresh sushi, miso soup, cabbage salad with sesame dressing, a dumpling and edamame! It was the perfect pick for someone who is very indecisive I believe the chef and server did a fantastic job explaining the menu, which was a little confusing at first but I appreciate the time and effort in answering my questions. I hope to come back soon to have a belated valentines celebration and birthday :) Thank you for having me :)

This was a little dinner date and we opted for the 3 course omakase, $45pp. Server was very knowledgeable and explained the menu thoroughly. Its supposed to have some korean influence but with the courses we were served, we didn't get any of that. The hamachi crudo was definitely the best dish. Very fresh and bright flavor profile just super thin cuts.. Edamame had zero hint of truffle and I would've just removed that part all together, could've done some gochujang spiced flavor instead. Nigiris were standard and nothing mind blowing. The cuts of fish were on the thinner side. The handrolls were much better but I was getting full by then. Spicy tuna wasn't spicy but the scallop was nice and buttery. My fiancé enjoyed his rolls but again nothing mind blowing. I'd say the price is fair here for the omakase but keep the expectations at a minimum. Oh and they need to work on their lychee martini.... it was sooo sour the first time, I had to ask them to make it sweeter. Second time around it was alright. Still not sweet enough and none of that fruity floral touch like other places. A couple next to us ordered it too and I saw his face, not the best reaction. Comparatively, I'd save my money and drop far more $$ somewhere else for something better. Sorry Domodomo!

I had a really great lunch at DōmoDomo Ko Dallas. I ordered the Miso Black Cod Bento Box, and the food was absolutely amazing. I've never had miso black cod before, and it honestly blew me away with how good it was. It had a nice sweetness to it and a great umami flavor. I think the bento box is a great deal, especially with all the different small bites that come with the main dish. The restaurant is also very beautiful, with plenty of sunlight and a light and relaxing atmosphere. The server was great and the staff was very attentive. I thought the bento box was a great price for what you get, and I'll definitely be coming back to try the three-course lunch. I also want to come back for the dinner tasting menu. I'm really looking forward to coming back! read more
A Japanese-Korean restaurant with a curated menu by Chef Brian Kim and a beautifully designed space with a simple yet elegant interior by Jae Park. You could really see that reflected throughout the meal and the overall experience. Honestly, my best friend and I chose this place because of all the online reviews about how affordable the sushi was and the amazing deals they had on the menu. As you can see, we ordered as much as we could handle, and we were both surprised and happy with how good everything was! We came for the sushi, but the dish that blew me away was the Butter Scallops. I was still thinking about that sauce when I left. I wanted to lick the plate, but we have to keep it classy. From the wine selection to the dessert, my best friend and I had such a good time. The staff was so fun and attentive too! If you're looking for good sushi at a good price, definitely go check it out! read more
Domodomo is next level Japanese cuisine that is impossible to deny. Every bite of top-tier nigiri is an exquisite experience as rare as the assorted seafood. This is the perfect place for a memorable date or special celebration. Any signature drink you order is sure to be delicious, and I highly recommend their Domo Fashion. The vibe inside is very tranquil in its simplicity. It's a bare design, modern, and no distracting decor that allows you to focus on enjoying the food you came for and company you came with. Came here for the lunch omakase and wow it expected expectations! Sushi was so fresh and delicious. Great option for a small omaskae and a great portion size for lunch. They have many more lunch specials as well so we will be back! If want elevated sushi but don't want to spend an arm and a leg, coming here for lunch is a great option! read more
Where to start? DomoDomo Jersey City and NYC has been a reliable staple for years while I lived there. DOMAKASE for $89 with an assortment of a la carte to choose from and delicious cocktails? It was a fun, casual vibe that you could go for any occasions. The sushi stood on its own and the meal could have been an occasion to splurge or a casual weekday dinner. Having recently moved to DFW I was excited to try this new DD concept. I'll start with the good: The presentation is a step up from the OG Domakase. It falls in line with the new upper scale omakase establishment they're going for. However, that's where it ends. The not so good: Flavors and atmosphere. Our server was knowledgable in regards to the menu, but we didn't feel any air of happiness while we sat there. It felt all too serious. The manager/owner? Asian gentleman with a suit came to help with one of the courses but didn't say a word or smile. I usually don't care, but again i'm comparing to the Domo that I know from back home. On to arguably the most important thing: Flavors. None of the dishes which came out left me wanting to order more if I could. They were all either better or worse than the last. More often times than not were too acidic and not well balanced (i.e the capaccio with Taro crackers, crackers were great.) The rice that was brought out during the sashimi portion was really random and didn't add any value. We were told we could make hand rolls, but with 7 pieces of sashimi (one piece cooked black miso cod) and only 2 nori rolls. What was the point? I missed the hand rolls options of the old Domo. The whole experience was giving trying to hard to pivot into finer omakase dining. The OG Domo would have been beloved here read more
Interesting concept, I heard it's popular in the New York area. Let's get this out of the way... the sushi is pretty forgettable. However, the other dishes are quite good. I especially like the carpaccio dish. They really went over the top in presentation as the "cracker" for this dish was held in this big "vegetable garden" setup. If you order the caviar handroll, they roll out this giant cart and make it in front of you. Like I said, they really go all in with presentation. The negative is you might leave Domodomo hungry since the portions are on the smaller side. read more
I had a great time at domodomo. They offer valet parking and there's also a parking lot/garage nearby too. This restaurant is more like a casual fine dining omakase experience. Menu changes monthly I believe. My all star favorites were the scallop juk and American wagyu yukhoe. Each dish is beautifully presented and explained. They change out your dishes and utensils after each course. It's like a modern take on Korean fusion dishes. It's definitely filling for $135. Would be a super cute date night spot. Highly recommend trying out! read more

This is a great value place for sushi in DFW! Parking was easy to find and they validate parking in the garage. They are able to seat my group quickly for a Sunday dinner and our server was great! Shout out to Lee, he was very knowledgeable about everything on the menu. We ordered the Four Course Sushi Dinner for $49 which is a great deal for the quality! Everything tasted very good so I highly recommend the four-course dinner. We also added the shiso ice cream and black sesame panna cotta. We enjoyed the panna cotta more! The restaurant was smaller than I expected but we were not cramped - The ambiance was very intimate and very relaxing. read more

I got the 4 course sushi dinner for $49. This is a great price for the quality of sushi and the amount of food that you get. It tasted very good & if I'm basing the review just off of food, I would give it a 4/5 stars. I got to the restaurant right when the opened, and the man at the front was very kind and sat me quickly. Since I was the only one there, I could hear the people working talking very loudly and cursing- it was a bit off putting. My server was also not the most helpful and a bit sarcastic at times. The combination of the two threw me off a bit & it why I'm removing a point from my review. read more
A new must try in Dallas! I love their location in NYC, so I was so excited to hear they were opening in Dallas. The ambience is modern and beautiful. Service is friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The food was incredible! My friend and I did the omakase and every course was amazing! Some of my faves were the opening course with the oyster, the nigiri were excellent, and the yuzu shiso apple sorbet ice pop at the end-divine! I can't wait to come back soon! read more
Came here for Mother's Day dinner and we loved pretty much everything! Even our 13 month old enjoyed the scallop congee and one of the fish dish. Service was great. Ambience is classy and upscale. While I wouldn't call this place kid friendly (I was very wary of our baby potentially crying and disturbing others who were mostly couples/friends/older families and was relieved that she did well), the staff was very friendly and at times played pick a boo to keep her entertained. Made a reservation to join some friends for dinner. I was lucky to find parking in the lot but most people park in the garage or street (the restaurant can validate parking). The restaurant has a modern exterior and interior design. We were greeted by friendly staff and seated with our friends. To our surprise, our waiter had served us at a different restaurant in the past! We all ordered the four-course sushi dinner which included refreshing sashimi, 5 sushi assortments, 5 torched sushi, and 2 signature hand rolls of our choice. I was impressed by the variety and creativity of each item. My favorites were the butterfish with banana pickle, sweet shrimp with lemon salt, and the negi toro hand roll. For dessert, we ordered the shiso icecream and black sesame panna cotta. Both were delicious! Overall, this was a wonderful experience to share with friends. The presentation, quality, and flavors were excellent. Highly recommended! read more

This restaurant took us a while to try but my whole discerning group loved it. The food and service was Michelin level quality and presentation. The omakase was presented simultaneously for all four of us. Timed and staged perfectly. The flavors were fantastic and unique. The style of the restaurant was very modern with warm tones. Reservations were easy to book online through Resy. Parking may be a bit tricky but they offer valet parking during peak hours. Read the signs before you park around that area. Overall service was okay. We were given the wrong check and only noticed before signing it. They did make the corrections. A few dishes were overly salty but the best dish was probably the dessert. read more

Our waiter was so friendly and helpful with his knowledge and input on the menu and what his favorites are. All of the staff were friendly, small and intimate restaurant. The 3 course sushi dinner is definitely worth the $49. I would highly recommend it. The waiter told us to come back in a Tuesday for their hand roll deals. Highly recommend the shrimp tempura hand roll, everyone at our table got it and loved it. read more

Loved domodomo. Admittedly, I had some reservations as I've found that several restaurants from LA and NYC come to Dallas and become a bit more about the scene and the name than the food. Domodomo was all about the food and it was fantastic. The omakase, seasonal menu was full of flavors which were well thought through. I loved the presentation, particularly the sushi one with the stackable bowls! I obviously won't go into detail as the menu will continue to change but I loved the oyster and the main dishes of the acrctic char and the A5 wagyu which came with 6 kinds of "side dishes" which were essentially there to eat with the meat. The dessert of the granny smith yuzu shiso popsicle was so unique and absolutely divine. The service was as attentive as can be. I think the price point is just right for the amount of food you get with the quality. I'd take this place over a Nobu any day. We had booked via Resy easily enough but I'd recommend trying this place out before all the hype hits! read more
