I like to consider myself pretty knowledgable about pizza in the area but apparently I somehow missed this place until the other day. A pizza place I haven't tried in my area is blasphemous so we were left with no choice but to experience with Brattle Stop has to offer. We needed enough data to form an accurate opinion so we tried to order from most corners of the menu. We ordered a large cheese pizza, curly fries (extra brownie points for even having curly fries), broccoli bites, eggplant pasta, salad, and baklava. The cheese pizza was better than I'm used to in this area but by no means excellent pizza. The crust held its shape without too much sog and the sauce had a nice flavor. I would say, if I was looking for some good pizza, ordering in central massachusetts, this would be one of the finalists on my list. The curly fries were also very good but by the time we got to them, could definitely have used some time in the air fryer. The eggplant pasta was by no means high end italian cuisine but for take out pizza shop pasta, it was decent. The ingredients in the salad were fresh, which is the most important aspect of a salad for me. Idk if I just wasn't feeling it that day or it wasn't particularly tasty but I couldn't finish it and had no desire to have leftovers. The broccoli bites were not my favorite and I would not order these again. I will give the leftovers in my fridge another chance, however, for what it's worth. The baklava was absolutely soaking in syrup and DIVINE. I wish they had provided a larger piece. This is an ok, middle of the pack, on par pizza spot in the area.

Red Apple Farm has always had a number of food options for those of us who need a hearty meal after…read morethe fun of apple picking. I was delighted to discover that their food options have expanded with two food trucks outside the Brew Barn -- one being TimberFire. The enticing waft of wood smoke from the brick pizza oven in the back -- mounted on a cart for transportation! -- immediately piqued my interest. But it was the chalkboard sign announcing that gluten free and vegan options were available that made me jump in line (and jump for joy). That magical combo of GF crust and dairy free cheese is still not that common, and it's even harder to find ones that taste good. Since I have a gluten sensitivity and am allergic to many forms of dairy, I was intrigued to try. The Tall Man and I each ordered one of the specials, The Fungus Among Us, which features mushrooms (of course), caramelized onions, and garlic cream sauce. He got the full gluten and dairy experience (aka refused to share in my limitations), while I got mine on GF crust and vegan cheese. In lieu of the sauce and their other alternatives (I also can't eat much tomato, and their pesto has parmesan), I suggested straight up olive oil to stick it all together. I was already holding up the line with my multiple questions, but they were very friendly and were happy to answer while busily stretching dough and checking on pizzas in the oven. 20 minutes later, we picked up our pies plus one for friends. (Unlike the Brew Barn, which will text you when your food is done, TimberFire calls out names so you have to stick close by.) Verdict? Delicious, especially straight from the oven on a chilly fall day! They used a premade GF crust, but one that had a pretty good crispy texture when fresh. Vegan cheese was all melty and creamy, so I didn't miss the sauce at all. The mushrooms were fantastic and generous. The Tall Man really liked his version of the pizza, reporting the sauce to be clutch. Our friends' Fresh to Death (aka margarita) pizza was pretty good, maybe not as wow-ing but satisfying both adults and children. I was quite happy with my pizza's flavor, but wish it were larger for the price ($18 per pie), with the GF one being smaller (10"?) than the hand stretched counterparts. They're closer in size to a medium pizza elsewhere. The Tall Man easily finished his whole pie in one go, while I ate half and saved the rest for leftovers. So expect a pricier lunch for 1-2 people per pie, or mix and match with other food options if you plan to share. Thank you for delivering a tasty GF DF experience!

BTW - Turns out it's super close to Exit 68 off Route 84. So it shouldn't have taken me this long. I'd call Camille's pizza Modern Wood-Fired Thin Crust. I ordered one with pepperoni, sausage and fresh peppers as opposed to roasted ones (which is an option) for pickup. The restaurant was nice. If you're a Prince (the musician, not the one stripped of his title -- too soon?) fan you may love the purple hues. The crust was good chewy. I loved the pepperoni. They cupped and crisped, but in a slightly different visual way than many cup and crisp pepperoni. Very cool. Tasted great too. The fresh peppers ended up being red rather than green. This is a personal preference, but I prefer green. I like the flavor of the green juice better on a pizza. I also think the green color pops better since the sauce and pepperoni are both red. I liked the pizza, but I didn't love it. I couldn't figure out why at first. I think the primary reason was the sausage. It wasn't bad. I just didn't connect with the flavor. And also I prefer larger pieces, than the smaller crumbles Camille's used. If I had this pizza without the sausage, I would have liked it better. I do have a favorable impression of Camille's though. I would definitely return. 4.25 Stars
