Okay, so I have a confession - I've never actually tried their pizza. HOWEVER, Newton Square Pizza has good subs, wings, and fish and chips. FOOD: I'm a repeat customer and my go to's sandwich wise are always one of their Boar's Head meat subs, Chicken Parm sub, or Gyro Plate. They're always consistent with how much meat is on the subs and generous with toppings. In terms of size of the subs, they are on the smaller side if I were to compare to other local places/sub shops. Granted, they aren't a sub shop, but it is something to keep in mind when ordering. Wings wise, Buffalo is way the way to go, but I've also had their honey bbq, citrus chipotle, and garlic parm which are also good. These wings definitely come with a good amount of sauce so you don't have to worry about them being bland. Every Friday they have a fish and chips special and the fish we get regularly is HUGE. Good portions all around. My family and I also really love ordering a side of curly fries because you get a lot for what you pay for and it's enough for all three of us. SERVICE: the woman who's normally at the counter is always so nice. Our food is almost always ready by the time we get there, and we've yet to have a bad interaction with any of the staff. Any requests or alternations we've made to orders have also usually been made within reason, so no complaints there. PRICE: everything is within reason. Generally speaking, I think you get what you pay for and sometimes more. The subs can be a little on the smaller side in comparison to other sub shops in the area - just something to consider since you're paying arguably the same price. I definitely should look into trying their pizza, but overall Newton Square Pizza is a good place for a quick eat. Look, their pizza is amazing. But their service is straight TRASH - so if you want to take a gamble and roll the dice, you will hopefully have a delicious pizza on your hands. I called and ordered for delivery and they never gave me an eta. About 45 minutes later when my pizza hadn't showed up, I called back and politely asked about eta. The owner straight up goes "I don't know, maybe 10-15 more minutes" in a very annoyed tone. Buddy, if you own the place you should know. And if you don't know, then figure it out when a customer asks. We were up the street so it's not like it would take that long. Another time my mom ordered a veggie pizza and the veggies were raw - they put them on the pizza after cooking it. Another time they hadn't cut the slices . So you see, it's the luck of the draw. This was my favorite spot when I lived in Worcester. I have many memories working on a project and grabbing a few pies or subs for the group as we fixed up the house. We always would stop by on Tuesday night for their pizza deal as well. Hands down my favorite was the chicken bacon ranch pizza and the pepperoni. The crab Rangoon and the potatoe pie was great too. Pizza was great! Perfect amount of sauce and cheese. Always friendly there. I've ordered the grilled chicken salad from there recently and it was super crisp and fresh with good chicken. Very reasonably priced. The parking can be a little tough especially when you have to bring your two year old in but I can always have my husband pickup or get delivery. Great neighborhood spot! Their service is poor and I experienced that today, even as a loyal customer. I consistently ordered from Newton Square for nearly a year, every Sunday. Today, I placed my regular order and while placing the order the owner accused me of ordering the day before and not picking up my order. As I picked up my order and paid for it, I asked the owner directly why she made that accusation? Her response was that the order that was not picked up was the same order that I place: a small cheese pizza and a large pepperoni pizza. I reminded her that I order on Sunday , not Saturday. She once again accused me. I kindly informed her that I would not be returning to her business, left, and placed both pizzas in the trash once I got home. So boom, I call newton square pizza back and ask them what we can do about it. For starters I live on the same street as Newton Square Pizza literally about 10 houses down. The food was good but the delivery driver was over the top rude and out of line!! He tried to make me tip him even tho he already got a tip and they charge 1.00$ for delivery which shows in total. He actually told me I paid with a credit card so he knows I have money in the bank then continued with what do u think ? gas is free?! He then stepped closer to me and tried to hand me back my customer copy to write a tip in. Really good pizza. They always make it exactly how I like it. I miss the cheesecake bites, but the fried ravioli makes up for it. I would make this my go-to pizza place for delivery and give it 5 stars if it weren't for one thing: the creepy Sunday delivery guy. The last two times he's delivered here he made me wish I had gone to pick it up just so he wouldn't know where I live. I've tried so many local places and was starting to give up hope on find in that local spot that would have an up on the popular chains papa ginos and pizzeria regina that us new englanders love. We grew up on that stuff but I want to support local if I can. Finally decided to give Newton Square Pizza a try. The exterior lack luster, the interior just as average. This place is so plain on the outside its like they weren't even trying. Split an order of wings and plain cheese. When I bit into it a tear came tumbling out of my eye. The search was finally over. Worcesters best pizza! Simple ingredients make for excellent taste here. The sauce is a perfect marinara with a slight zing. Cheese is the perfect amount. Strings and then snaps when you separate each peice. You get a light glaze of oils/fat(flavor) from the cheese without having to wipe down or drip dry your pizza. The dough is light and airy while having a decent amount of crunch. Certainly not a thin crust more like that Greek style puff only without that oily bottom. Pretty sure its a frozen dough but this is Worcester no fancy boys allowed. I've tried many toppings now and would say that the toppings and none have disappointed but its the actual pizza that makes this place one of the greats IMO.
