I am writing to share some feedback regarding my recent visit to your restaurant…read more Overall, the establishment was very nice. The indoor golf area was a great feature, the bar was well-stocked, and the extensive wine collection around the dining area was impressive. Additionally, I found the staff to be excellent. However, I was disappointed with the pizza. I found it to be very bland, with the sauce lacking flavor and the dough feeling like it was made from low-quality flour. Having been raised in an Italian household, I know that pizza should not be bland, and it should really be the star of the menu rather than a disappointment. Given your excellent location in a key area, the food should be amazing. I would actually be open to consulting for your restaurant to help you improve the pizza recipe and quality.

It took about 12 minutes for my single sandwich order to be ready but the staff was friendly and apologetic for the delay while they were hustling to fill orders, so I can't complain. It was obvious they were busy and working hard. My sub was made to order and tasted good.

It took us a while to our sandwiches (4 cheese melt and steak melt) but the staff were very patient and answered all our questions. We decided to eat outside and our food was delivered with a smile. Bread was thick and nicely browned, like Texas toast. 4 cheeses included pepper Jack which was a surprise, and may have been mentioned. That cheese was also in the steak, and that was fine. Steak was strictly ok, not a lot of meat taste but nice consistency. Added mushrooms were plentiful and tasty. Both sandwiches were large enough to fill hungry travelers. Overall I'm glad we stopped and tried Sun-sational. If we once again find ourselves in Whiteville I would stop and try something else, because all the sandwiches looked creative and a good value. Recommended!

I was starving after a long day at work and was searching for a place that offered a personal sized pizza. I glanced at their reviews and menu- sold. I ordered the hot honey pizza and chocolate chip cookies. Delivery was quick and the food was delicious. Not a "I was starving and anything would have been good" kind of delicious- but insanely good. Fresh ingredients, perfect topping ratio, and cooked perfectly. The cookies were the icing on the cake. I was so impressed I called to tell the manager how amazing everything was. We ended up having a 10 minute conversation that left me feeling like a valued customer. I've ordered many times since then, including today. When I pulled up DoorDash and tried placing my usual order, it said they were closed. I called to double check and learned that their head cook had no showed to work. The 80 year old gentleman who owns Your Pie Pizza drove in from Shallot to get everything up and running. However, DoorDash had been disabled for the day- which meant no delivery. Instead of turning me away, he insisted I give him my order so he could deliver it himself. He reminded me so much of my grandfather. I knew declining his offer would have insulted his kindness. He was the sweetest man ever. We had a great conversation about customer service and commitment. And of course, he refused to let me pay. This will forever be one of my favorite places to eat. Thank you Maynard! I can't wait to check out your new restaurant, Sweet & Salty Grille. Wishing you nothing but the best!
