Delicious anti pasta salad ... fresh and flavorful!

Great date night atmosphere! The charm of an authentic Italian eatery with that rustic warm feel. Food was delicious and the service outstanding!

Omg obsessed! This place is insanely authentic, and such a gem inside of whiteville and Columbus county. We are so stoked we found it. We had the Pierce & Co bolognese and the shrimp Toscani. Loved that they used local pierce and co sausage the fresh ground made all of the difference. Great sized shrimp and homemade sauce that was similar to vodka but had a nice flair to it. The meatball appetizer was perfectly portioned, and I loved the sauce on it. It's such a convenient location, also, on a cute Main Street area. I loved the bar area it was really flush for a "small town Italian joint". I felt like I was in the city. They have a dining area and it was spaced out and comfortable, I didn't want to intrude for pictures because there were a lot of tables filled (but still room to sit). The cocktails were fantastic and the service and bartender were not only hospitable but hilarious and personable. Tiramisu was beyond. Def a must.

Love the food and excellent service!! It's an old building love the brickwork on the inside!

Spaghetti and meatballs baked with pepperoni. It's not on the menu but you can ask for it. So good!

Great fresh food, friendly service, clean, and fast for level of fresh. Everyone ate till they were past full and then took what was left home...and actually ate the leftovers.

This place was recommended to me by a local so I popped in one night this week for dinner. The actual building is difficulty to find but this place blew me away. It's quaint, but the food is amazing! I ordered a salad and the chicken Parmesan which was wonderful. The pasta is homemade and chicken was obviously fresh. Wait staff is really nice and overall I would highly recommend this restaurant!

It took us a while to our sandwiches (4 cheese melt and steak melt) but the staff were very patient and answered all our questions. We decided to eat outside and our food was delivered with a smile. Bread was thick and nicely browned, like Texas toast. 4 cheeses included pepper Jack which was a surprise, and may have been mentioned. That cheese was also in the steak, and that was fine. Steak was strictly ok, not a lot of meat taste but nice consistency. Added mushrooms were plentiful and tasty. Both sandwiches were large enough to fill hungry travelers. Overall I'm glad we stopped and tried Sun-sational. If we once again find ourselves in Whiteville I would stop and try something else, because all the sandwiches looked creative and a good value. Recommended!

To Whom It May Concern,.. no stars. but I had to add one (sadly)…read more On September 24, 2025, my 90-year-old Native American mother and I visited your establishment, as we've done weekly for some time. We typically use the drive-thru, park, and enjoy our meal together in the truck. It's a small tradition that means a lot to us. On this particular visit, we ordered our usual items and requested they be toasted and heated. After paying, the young cashier instructed us to circle back through the drive-thru. We complied, even though there were now 3-4 cars ahead of us. Oddly, the car directly in front of us was not asked to circle around, which raised questions about consistency in service. After waiting over 25 minutes, we returned to the window and asked again if the sandwiches had been properly heated and toasted. The cashier assured us they had just come out of the oven. We parked and began to eat. My mother immediately noted her sandwich was cold. I checked mine--same issue. Neither sandwich had been heated as requested. I walked inside to explain the situation and requested a refund. The older woman behind the counter, who appeared to be the manager, refused, stating, "We don't give money back." She then unwrapped the sandwiches, touched them, and offered to reheat them. I found this deeply concerning--placing outside food back into a kitchen oven is a serious sanitary violation. She also remarked, "Restaurants don't give money back," which I found dismissive and inaccurate. I've traveled the world and dined in countless establishments--many of which prioritize customer satisfaction and would have handled this differently. Still, I remained calm and returned to the truck to assist my mother inside. Once inside, the manager's demeanor shifted noticeably. Despite our polite insistence that the sandwiches were cold, she continued to claim they had been properly heated. My mother, a proud Native American woman, softly reiterated that they were not. We again requested a refund and prepared to leave. At that moment, a gracious Black woman seated nearby approached and offered to pay for new sandwiches. Only then did the manager agree to issue a refund. I thanked the woman sincerely--her kindness and courage to speak up made a difference. There are four key takeaways from this experience: Sanitation matters -- Reheating returned food in a kitchen oven is unacceptable. Respect your regulars -- You never know who your loyal customers are or what they mean to your business. We will not return -- This experience was disappointing and disheartening. My mother summed it up best: "Son, remember to use a long-handled spoon with some folks." Gratitude to the woman who stood up -- Her empathy and action were powerful. She is a Queen. This was not just about cold sandwiches. It was about dignity, respect, and how people are treated. I hope this letter encourages reflection and change. Sincerely never going back.

My grandfather is on hospice and is close to the ends while my mom and grandma have been taking care of him. On Mother's Day, we visited to help and had a pretty rough day. Before we left, we wanted to give my mom and grandma a nice meal for Mother's Day. We called in two ribeyes with potatoes, salad and bread. I did ask if they could take extra care of the order and explained our situation so they knew how important this meal was. Not only was the absolute perfection, they made sure we had extra bread and butter, not just a small piece for them to split. The attention to detail to make sure this important meal was able to transport and still be perfect was something that many restaurants don't do without a request, but you can tell that they give this level of detailed attention to every order. Inside the restaurant, we watched as they took the same level of care with every dish. This level of customer service alone is enough to warrant return business. The quality of the food is an added bonus at that point. 10/10 go here if you are in the area!

We tried Luca Italian Chophouse for dinner on Good Friday. Our stuffed banana pepper appetizer was excellent, with 3 large and moderately spicy peppers stuffed with sweet Italian sausage, served with a tomato sauce and topped with Ricotta. It was a very tasty appetizer. We split a small pizza for dinner. It was about 10" as specified with a fair amount of crust. The pizza crust was a little yeasty for my taste, but it was very good and I liked the crispy crust bottom. Toppings were generous and were of good quality. It was plenty for two people. Emboldened by the first two courses, we tried the cheesecake with caramel sauce for dessert. It turned out to be a small individual cheesecake about 4" in diameter topped with strawberries and caramel. It was OK but over priced at $14. The crust was too soft and flavorless although the cheesecake itself wasn't bad. The strawberries weren't of the best quality and should have been left off. The restaurant is definitely going for the upscale Italian feel and generally succeeds. Our server was friendly and very helpful, but was exceedingly slow. All in all, I was pleasantly surprised with Luca Italian Chophouse. It's definitely worth a try and we will probably eat there again the next time we're in the area. And by the way, the Easter Bunny was making its way down Main Street as we pulled out of the parking lot
