But I was 16 at the time, I'm 22 now. The manager talked to the other employees about how I was not a good worker and how she wanted to fire me. I ended up putting in my two weeks when it got back to me that she had been doing all this. My mom was furious that an adult manager was treating kids like this. I wasn't the only one being treated this way. The food is good but just know the people working there are not. When I go back to get pizza when I'm visiting home, I have noticed that the same managers still work there from 2017. When we would get online orders, they would tell us to press the button that said that we had started making the pizza, even if we had not. They wanted us to just look like we were so that the dominos Head Quarters would think we were good on time. They only told us to be kind to customers so that we wouldn't get complaints. But as soon as the customer left, they would always talk about bad them.

It was a perfect night to eat in the open air, unless you're downwind from a lady standing near the entrance smoking a cigarette , which we were, unfortunately. After we got our drinks, we waited at least 30 minutes to get our food, but we appreciated the update from one of the servers. We never did get the waters we asked for, but our pizza and chicken Gorgonzola were excellent...even on the wobbly table from which we ate! It took us a while to our sandwiches (4 cheese melt and steak melt) but the staff were very patient and answered all our questions. We decided to eat outside and our food was delivered with a smile. Bread was thick and nicely browned, like Texas toast. 4 cheeses included pepper Jack which was a surprise, and may have been mentioned. That cheese was also in the steak, and that was fine. Steak was strictly ok, not a lot of meat taste but nice consistency. Added mushrooms were plentiful and tasty. Both sandwiches were large enough to fill hungry travelers. Overall I'm glad we stopped and tried Sun-sational. If we once again find ourselves in Whiteville I would stop and try something else, because all the sandwiches looked creative and a good value. To give you an idea, my husband and I ate there this evening and here's what we had (all excellent). Appetizers: tuna tartare with capers, wasabi, sesame seeds, lettuce, and crisps. It was well balanced and delicious. The other appetizer was Cambodian Spring Rolls, which were perfectly browned, and eaten by placing them in a romaine lettuce leaf with crumbled peanuts and dipping it in an amazing but light sauce. The textures and flavors played off of each other wonderfully, elevating it far above any regular spring roll you may be thinking of. For entrees, my husband had the special, Paella (saffron rice, mussels, shrimp, clams, and a whole crab, red bell pepper). Every item was perfectly cooked, neither undercooked nor overcooked and it tasted fantastic. My entree was perfectly cooked pan-seared salmon filet, with perfectly grilled large asparagus and the most amazing take on grits I have ever had (not your mama's breakfast grits). They were delicately flavored with butter, a hint of cheese and I don't know what else but it understated while still having flavors that seemed too complex for grits to have, without being overdone. There are menu items for both the more and less adventurous diner, and I cannot recommend this place highly enough. A gem in the middle of nowhere.

I watched them take a flounder fillet that was sitting on ice in a cooler and bread it along with some shrimp that I had ordered. In a few minutes, I had some the best fried seafood I had ever eaten. I honestly can't think of any better fried seafood I have had. There have been some places that come close, but you can get world-class fried seafood in Whiteville NC if you know where to find it. It's a little hard to find as it is not on the main drag and the signage is lacking. Make sure you bring cash as they do not take credit/debit card. I think if they did, they would do a better business as their prices are moderate. They are a little more expensive than the places that take it out of the freezer and drop it in the fryer. Another reviewer noted poor customer service. I have been there about a half a dozen times, and they have provided me, and the other customers I observed, with fantastic, friendly, customer service. I am not questioning the other reviewer's experience, but I don't think it's the norm by any means.
