I even showed up at 11:39 AM, giving them an extra 9 minutes just in case. Guess what? Nothing was ready. The young lady at the counter told me there was no order ready and then said the manager was out doing deliveries. At that point, I only had 15 minutes left before I had to be at my kids' school. Because of their incompetence, my kids did not get lunch. To make matters worse, instead of apologizing, the when I called to speak to the manager, he actually YELLED at me. The nerve. This was my first time ever trying this place, and I was attempting to give them a chance. What a mistake. This establishment is unprofessional, disorganized, and incredibly rude. The manager/owner is not a nice person at all and clearly has no idea how to treat customers. Rather than taking responsibility, he chose to be extremely disrespectful. I will never be coming back. I should have stuck with Papa John's, where I usually order and actually receive decent service. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere else.

They made pizzas and set them at the end of the counter and had no interest in calling someone's name or anything. Customers would then walk over to see if it was their order. They were really totally disinterested in serving anyone. And then some employee in the back would peek out from the door and then disappear. I ordered at 5pm for a 5:30pm pick up. I got there at 5:20pm. By 5:50pm I finally walked up to make sure they had my ticket. The guy dug through to pile and pulled mine out and put it in line without saying anything to me. The service here has crated. And then they said they ran out of cheese? It was like there was no one in charge and these guys were stoned out of their mind or just non-verbal. Not being mean. It was just strange. Not going back.

It was actually my birthday and I received the pizza for a total of $.50. I thought what a deal and I was so happy not to have to think about dinner much further. However, as I drove home, I noticed something in the plastic wrap of the pizza. There is a fly, caught in the plastic wrap, crawling all over the pizza itself. I immediately called the restaurant and found out later that I was actually speaking to the manager. I said hello I was just in there and picked up a barbecue chicken pizza and I noticed a fly that is called in the wrap of the pizza calling on the pizza. This managers response was so you're not gonna eat it. He wasn't joking. He wasn't kidding around. He was asking a serious question. I said do you think I'm going to eat this pizza says he really didn't know. I said forget it. I'm not dealing with you. This doesn't make sense. Why would you ask me if I wanna eat a pizza with a fly calling all over it stuck in the surrender wrap? I did not know he was the manager at the time. I went back in to speak to the manager the following day and discovered that that particular person was the manager. He thought that the question was perfectly acceptable and it was a good question to ask, however I think it's the stupidest question to ask when , at least in America we do not usually allow flies to be trapped into our food before we eat it. His response simply been. I am so sorry to hear that. I will make you another pizza. It will be here when you arrive. Never should have asked me the question if I was going to accept it as is.

They say that when a child turns 16 and gets their driver's license, you lose a chauffeur subject,…read morebut you gain a rogue food critic. For seventeen years, I have been the self-appointed Sultan of Slices, driving my son to every reputable pizza joint in the area and essentially telling him what "good" tasted like.  It was a hard job, but somebody had to do it, may as well be his Dad right? But apparently, the student has become the master. My son hit up Jet's Pizza in McKinney yesterday and came home claiming he'd had "the best pizza of his life." Now, at 17, his opinions are legally his own, but as the man who funded his palate for nearly two decades, I had to put this bold claim to the test. If he was wrong, I'd have to revoke his "pizza-picking privileges" indefinitely. I walked in and ordered the Super Special: a heavy-duty combination of pizza sauce, premium mozzarella, pepperoni, ham, mushrooms, onions, and green peppers. The Verdict: I hate to admit it, mostly because it means my son is actually growing up and making sound life choices, but the kid was right. The crust had that perfect crisp-yet-airy texture that makes you forget about your fitness goals entirely. The toppings were delicious, the cheese didn't mess around, and the combination of ham and pepperoni on the Super Special provided a salt-to-sauce ratio that is frankly dangerous for anyone with a lack of self-control. It was very, very good. In fact, it was "I'm-not-even-mad-that-my-teenager-is-smarter-than-me" good.  I may have to get this kid a YELP account!! To Jet's Pizza, thanks for the great meal. To my son: You get to keep your driver's license... for now. But don't get cocky; I'm still the lead judge on burger places.
