The previous repair shop I used to use wouldn't even look at my Dyson so I went online and came across the great reviews of Dominion. Not only would they look at my Dyson they were willing to swap out the motor which is what I thought was wrong with it. They were very accommodating, listened to my concerns without rushing me, and gave me reasons why they didn't think it was my motor. I was willing to spend $250 to get the motor swapped out so they could have easily just scammed me but they are SOLID which is sadly rare so I HIGHLY recommend them!!! Honest, excellent quality service. Every time I come, this gentleman has the part I need to keep my 40 year old Eureka alive. I've rebuilt the motor 3x, finally had to buy a new motor, and he had a double down doozie to put in that baby. I could ride that sucker down the street if it had power to the wheels! I've had the power head rebuilt a couple of times, and well, this may be the last time he can fix it because parts are getting scarce. My other half needed a hose repair on a Sunbeam vacuum I've never heard of before. 15 minutes, $10 later and we were on our way. AWESOME. He is one of the few places in town selling the Hoover Floor Mate. I had to leave my beloved Floor Mate behind with the last relationship. Snif. Since I only have one room with carpet, the rest is hardwood and tile, I do prefer it for cleaning - it scrubs, squeegies, and does an all-round great job. Heck, he says they don't come in for service, and he hasn't heard of anyone selling them used either. Guess they either die and get recycled, or keep on ticking. Need a built-in system? Used? Refurbished? Chemicals to get stains out of pretty much anything? Need to rent a super sucking carpet cleaner? This is your place. I'm not sure I'd buy a new modern fancy vacuum - they all seem so cheap and flimsy. Small local business, I try to pay cash when I can. Bought a Hoover from the Bay a year ago, and the power head stopped working. Dropped it off, they took it apart, submitted the warranty claim, and Hoover decided to replace the whole unit. Fantastic service, you can tell the owner really knows his products. He came out himself to install a central vacuum system for me and the install and demo of the unit was all top notch. He normally closes at 3 on Saturdays but came by after hours to install it so I didn't have to take time off work during a weekday. I wasn't too happy with the hose (I was used to an older one that wasn't crush proof but didn't kink much from a previous home) and he offered to get me a replacement free of charge. He even let me try out both hoses at my house to compare them without asking for a deposit or anything. You don't find many "mom and pop" type places anymore that are good but I'd say his is definitely one of them. When I was in line to pickup the replacement hose I overheard him talking with another customer as well and he repaired her vacuum free of charge. Class act. I normally don't post reviews online, but my wife and I were chatting about it and were so happy with the experience we thought we'd post a positive one for once. I wasn't sure what was wrong with my vacuum. Brought it into the shop and he looked at the vacuum right away, figured out it was clogged and where the clog was and cleaned it out at no charge.
