Person who came to my house was extremely rude. I was quoted $474 plus GST to replace the bellow on my washing machine. When I asked why it was so much as a neighbor just did hers and cost her 200 he said the part itself retails for 300.00 and it is a difficult labour intensive part to replace. I went to Amre Supply in Edmonton purchased the part for $130.00. I had a friend who had no previous knowledge of washing machines watch a five minute Youtube video and was able to change the part in under twenty minutes. Was not impressed whatsoever with this place and would not recommend to anyone!!!!!

He had absolutely no clue of how to even open the top of the range. In the end, decided it could be any of 3 various parts including an $800 motherboard and approximately $450 of labour. Here's the catch, we would also have to pay 20% to restock the parts if they didn't end up working. And he needed to charge us $150 for a 'key' to open the range. Supposedly a Thermador repair person? I think not. I told him to go and paid $84 for the 'service call'. Emailed the company to complain about the lack of knowledge and didn't even get a response. In the end, had a real Thermador repair company (whose technician was an absolute professional) come in. It was the motherboard and it cost $600 for the part and $200 for the labour. $1,400 vs $800 for the same job!! They preordered the parts and fixed it same day. No restocking fees due to lack of expertise. They also fixed the reassembly of the stove top that had been incorrectly done by the Paramount technician and could have damaged the burners as they were far over tightened. Very disappointing. If you don't have expertise, you should point the customer in the right direction rather than attempt to take advantage of the situation.

I called using the Yelp page, which I think is the easiest way to contact them. I believe their number is incorrect if you simply google them. However, it is correct here! The woman I spoke with on the phone was personable and ensured we had our appointment made. We had John come in to fix our Dishwasher and Oven. He did an awesome job and everything was fixed in no time. I'm very glad that everything was sorted out all in one night. I was super worried that it would be something unfixable. It came out to be about $600 for both appliances to be fixed. Very reasonable when you consider the cost of replacement! I would definitely recommend GoTech to anyone!

He fully explained what caused the leak and what the repair would cost. As the part needed to be ordered he rescheduled the return visit. We had to reschedule once due to a problem on our end and Dennis was very accommodating. We were extremely happy with his service and would have no problem recommending GoTech to others! The are definitely now our go-to company for appliance repair.

Our clothes washer stopped working recently, prompting a search for a reputable, effective…read moreappliance repair company. The reviews I found didn't impress me much. Many were negative and some of the positive ones almost seemed like they had their relatives write them. So, I took a chance on Fort Road Appliances and called them. I accurately described the problem with washer and the guy on the other end of the line was almost certain he knew what it was. (Another place I called had the guy telling me it could be the wiring, etc. He didn't have a clue!) I asked how much it would be and he said he could be here the next day. I got a two hour window and he was here 15 minutes into that time window. He got right to work, diagnosed the problem and fixed it. I think he was here less than an hour. I paid what I was quoted and I wasn't going to have to worry about dirty clothes any longer. I paid cash, but I could have also paid by cheque. He didn't have debit and I'm not sure if he could take a credit card, so keep that in mind. The washing machine has operated flawlessly since. I won't hesitate to give Fort Road Appliances a call again should I need another repair. For obvious reasons, I hope I don't have to call them again! Appliance repair tips: - Do some research online before you call an appliance repair company. It's almost guaranteed that someone out there has had the same problem you've had and they've written about it online. In doing this you'll have a rough idea what the problem is, so if the guys on the other end of the phone don't sound like they've got a clue based on your accurate description of the problem, maybe take a pass on their services. Obviously it could be something else, but there's a good chance you can narrow down the range of possibilities. - Make sure to note the make and model number of your appliance when you call, as well as a thorough description of the problem. You'll want to make sure the repairman knows the key details so he can bring the right parts with him.

He claimed he fixed my dryer. He didn't. After it broke again, they suddenly decided it needed replacing. Then came the complete lack of communication -- over a week went by with no update until I had to chase them down. Scheduling was a joke. They refused to work around normal 9-5 jobs, then promised a weekend delivery before noon. Shockingly, they didn't show up on time. I had to call them at 11:40am just to remind them, only to be told to reschedule. They then promised to call Monday. They didn't. I had to call again Tuesday. Three weeks later, still no working dryer and nothing but broken promises, rude service, and zero accountability. If you enjoy being talked down to, ignored, and chasing a company to do the bare minimum, this is the place for you. Otherwise, stay far away.
