As I had no experience in completing such an installation I turned to the contractors for help. After attempting to gain support from 3 other contractors, each of which promised to assist me but failed to call back, I turned to Lauten. The team at Lauten is extremely friendly and expedited the work, obtaining permits, and completing the project so that I could meet my deadline. I am very happy with the overall quality of the installation, and I will be using the company again for my other projects!

We hired Lauten Design & Construction for a multi-part renovation this spring 2019 (upstairs…read morelaundry room, custom mudroom, 2 new children bathrooms & playroom). It was the best possible renovation experience. Lauten is competent, meticulously honest, and great at staying in communication throughout the project. Drew and his team finished within our tight time frame, despite the fact that we added an exterior project partway through the renovation. Drew's process worked well for us - a few initial walk-throughs, then he brought in his designer to hear our needs and ideas, and she drew up floor plans while Drew created the detailed budget estimate. We sourced many things ourselves (light fixtures, vanities, tile, etc), and Drew was flexible and helpful during that process. Project manager Lisa is a dream to work with throughout the nitty-gritty parts of a renovation - great at keeping the crew and subcontractors on schedule, and readily responsive to all our texts and emails with questions or minor changes to the plan. Lead carpenter Mike and the rest of the crew were excellent, and had the carpentry skills to do several custom projects as part of the reno that give our home a craftsman feel, including adding built-ins in the closets, making a door for a unique linen closet, an old-fashioned transom window in the bathroom, and a beautiful solid wood shelf in our mudroom. We had a great experience working with Lauten and his team, and plan to use them for our next renovation project soon.

The trees were ridiculously messy and not a good choice for a wind break. Ben and his crew came out and knocked the job out for us very quickly. The price was more than fair for the labor involved. And, because they did such a fantastic job, I've hired them to continue with our plans for tree removal throughout our acres. Ben was willing to speak with me about every concern and detail I wished to cover. That's how you know they're true professionals. They aren't afraid to hear a customer's voice. So, as I've already stated, they've removed 16 trees for us, next week we're scheduled for 10 more. After that, I'll be getting the estimate for even more. I'm confident I won't be disappointed. Update: The crew came back out, as scheduled, to remove 10 trees from beside our driveway. I swear it's like watching them do a perfectly choreographed dance when they get going. Each man knows where to be and when. I'm probably a weirdo for watching them, but it truly is just mesmerizing in action. I happen to appreciate talent and efficiency more than the next person, I suppose. Anyway, they will now be hired for a 3rd, not final, job in the upcoming months. I made the best decision by getting in touch with this company.
