Just like my first experience with Santos Hauling in 2025, they responded quickly to my YELP message. We agreed on a day/time for an estimate and agreed that if I found the price to be reasonable, they could take care of the job immediately. Their team provided fast and detail oriented service. It was a crew of nine. They helped remove a bunch of overgrown ivy and weeds throughout my property and hauled away a bunch of junk (some of which had been sitting around for over 20 years). There's still much to do around my house due to years of deferred maintenance, but the Santos Hauling team provided a jumpstart to refreshing my house. They are extremely responsive, provided quality work, are respectful of property, and their service comes at a very reasonable price.

Isai responded within the hour with an offer to drop by for a free consultation and his contact information. We were able to schedule something for the next day which had to get pushed back another day, but throughout it all, Isai was very communicative and punctual. I received a number of quotes within three days from my Yelp request and Isai was the most reasonable by far. We were able to book a day and time that worked for us the week after. Before our appointment, Isai reached out with at least six different photos of options for ground cover and I appreciated being included in this process even though I don't have extensive knowledge of landscaping or gardening at all. The day of, Isai and his team came in the morning and within just a few hours, completely transformed our front and back yard. They worked quickly and methodically to uproot all of the weeds from the front rock garden and in between the concrete; shaped various shrubbery and trees; weed all of the planters in the back yard, lay down landscaping fabric, and also the mulch; and, sweep up various leaves and fallen fruit. Payment was easy through Zelle and as he left, he notified us that the yard waste would be a little heavy because the weeds were wet. He also asked if we had pets (we don't). He indicated that weeding the front yard was difficult and that a little Round Up at the first inkling of weeds would go a long way in keeping them at bay. On what my husband said to them - My husband told me they came to the door and said they're done, which is different than what Jacob said he said. Because what Jacob did not mention was that I told the brother to talk to ME and not my husband, which he didn't do. I said to text/call me. He didn't do that either. My husband works from home. He should've checked, but I said to his brother to talk to me because I knew my husband would be too busy to check. We can go on and on about "he said, she said," (or in this case, "he said, he said,") situation. In my experience, that isn't helpful which is why I only wrote about my experience and what the end product looked like. But since it was mentioned, I wanted to add those additional information so people can get the whole picture. Jacob was right that they were notified and that they came back the next day to pick up the debris, which is what we agreed to. I want everyone reading this to know that the team that came and did an exceptional job, was only expected to pick up the debris. When Jacob mentioned I said they went "above and beyond" was because they picked up the debris AND decided on their own terms (I assume) to clean the yard the way a clean up should have been done in the first place. I told this to Jacob in the hope that they would be celebrated. It was a giving and vulnerable gesture for Jacob to share another gardener's contact information. I'm still debating whether it would be a good idea or not. Vintage definitely will do their best to mend their mistakes. They're kind and respectful people. They want to do well. I want to be clear that I could not recommend Vintage not because that they're mean or awful people. No; They aren't. I can't recommend them because I want to recommend a lawn service that knows how to do the job they are advertising themselves for, consistently. My standard for a clean up is for the company to pick up the rotten fruits on the ground, to cut the lawn/weeds low, to not pull delicate plants that were mentioned not to, and to pull weeds that were clearly overgrowing. They didn't meet those standards. I've had multiple experience with them for yard maintenance and now, two times with yard clean up. I commend them for always trying to fix their mistakes, but again, these yard expectations should be done on the first time. This review was based off of months of using them for yard maintenance and now yard clean up twice. Perhaps they do better in a much more manicured yard setting where they're able to focus on just the lawn and rose pruning -- something more straight forward and simple. With my review, I hope if people are going with them that they are attentive to these things so they have a better experience than I did. I hope they hold Vintage more accountable. If Vintage truly are "willing to fix their mistakes and will gladly jump at the opportunity to mend this less than stellar service," then I hope this review will help them towards that. It is unfortunate it didn't work out with me, but please make your own decision and let's hope there's growth.

They had a near perfect rating and were praised by pleased clients. After contacting Juan, he came over almost immediately to provide a quote. I wanted to update my high maintenance, overgrown front yard with low maintenance, drought tolerant plants and pavers. Juan listened to my ideas and provided his own useful knowledge. They were the right group for the job! Shortly afterwards, I also met Michael, the Project Manager. He and Juan manage several work teams that we got to see in action over the next several months. Workers were here religiously 5-6 days a week; usually starting around 9am and working usually until after 5pm in good weather and bad. The teams work incredibly hard and are extremely skilled in all facets of yard construction. Any concerns or glitches were met by almost immediate response by JV, whether or not the request came during the course of the work day. I was extremely impressed when Michael came by late one evening during pouring rain to clear water backing up onto the street and sidewalk due to equipment left at the curb. Near the completion of my front yard, I started to talk with Juan and Michael about completing the backyard and sides as well. They continued the pavers from the front with a backyard patio and paths on the sides. My old redwood deck was replaced with a composite deck and wood pergola, artificial grass, maintenance shed and complete lighting. Roxanne, their plant specialist, listened to my plant suggestions and designed a yard full of interesting plants to meet my requirements. Even though the job is now complete, JV wants to make sure customers remain satisfied. Many of my new plants were planted during the winter, and as I live in a frost zone, I was unsure of what would survive the winter. I'm pleased to say that only one type of flower planted in the front yard appears to be struggling, but Michael has already said they would be replaced if they didn't survive until spring. It's that type of customer follow through that makes JV Gardening amongst the best in their field. Now that my whole job is complete, I'm very happy that I used JV for the job. This allowed me to decide whether to move forward and I thought this was really respectful of my time. Then, Dago, the owner, came for the site visit and to discuss details. 2. No bait and switch In ironing out the details, there was some miscommunication about whether staining was included. Dago was able to meet us halfway with the price increase. This honest business style continued throughout the project and no change orders or unexpected price increases happened. 3. Detail oriented Throughout the project, we discussed details such as fence posts placement relative to tree roots, post height, etc. Dago was both available in person and by email via his assistant Maria. It was also nice to have responses confirmed in writing so that things were clear and there would be no bait and switch. 4. Personality Dago is a really nice person and I enjoy speaking with his about his geriatric dogs, etc. This also helped me not feel anxious about the project, because I felt that I could trust him.
