As always, the crew arrived on time and the work was done exactly as promised. We met with Kevin to discuss the tasks (cleaning yard; trimming trees and shrubs; weeding and moving plants; etc.). Sometimes Kevin has had a crew of 6 or 8; this year, it was three. The work was done by Kevin's nephew John plus Juanito and Benito. All worked diligently, taking only a short lunch break. As always, they listened to our requests and accommodated our wishes. John, when appropriate, offered helpful advice about possible options; he was consistently friendly and considerate and it was a pleasure to have his help. Years ago, we had used two other companies but were not satisfied. (One even had a worker who fell fast asleep in our yard after drinking at lunch!) We are so pleased to have found Kevin's Gardening Service and we will definitely continue to use them!

After a number of lackluster experiences with TaskRabbit (getting ghosted mid-conversation, having…read moreconfirmed Taskers not show up, having Taskers provide inefficient service), my husband and I decided to start a gardening project on Yelp in order to request quotes for our front and back yard. Isai responded within the hour with an offer to drop by for a free consultation and his contact information. We were able to schedule something for the next day which had to get pushed back another day, but throughout it all, Isai was very communicative and punctual. I received a number of quotes within three days from my Yelp request and Isai was the most reasonable by far. We were able to book a day and time that worked for us the week after. Before our appointment, Isai reached out with at least six different photos of options for ground cover and I appreciated being included in this process even though I don't have extensive knowledge of landscaping or gardening at all. The day of, Isai and his team came in the morning and within just a few hours, completely transformed our front and back yard. They worked quickly and methodically to uproot all of the weeds from the front rock garden and in between the concrete; shaped various shrubbery and trees; weed all of the planters in the back yard, lay down landscaping fabric, and also the mulch; and, sweep up various leaves and fallen fruit. Payment was easy through Zelle and as he left, he notified us that the yard waste would be a little heavy because the weeds were wet. He also asked if we had pets (we don't). He indicated that weeding the front yard was difficult and that a little Round Up at the first inkling of weeds would go a long way in keeping them at bay. We are truly impressed by Isai and his team and very thankful. I would not hesitate to recommend them and to request their services again.

This was a technically challenging project involving a steep hill and very mature redwood roots. Standout qualities of this company are: 1. Ease of quoting process Before coming out in person, they were able to give us a ballpark price based on dimensions, fence type, and site images. This allowed me to decide whether to move forward and I thought this was really respectful of my time. Then, Dago, the owner, came for the site visit and to discuss details. 2. No bait and switch In ironing out the details, there was some miscommunication about whether staining was included. Dago was able to meet us halfway with the price increase. This honest business style continued throughout the project and no change orders or unexpected price increases happened. 3. Detail oriented Throughout the project, we discussed details such as fence posts placement relative to tree roots, post height, etc. Dago was both available in person and by email via his assistant Maria. It was also nice to have responses confirmed in writing so that things were clear and there would be no bait and switch. 4. Personality Dago is a really nice person and I enjoy speaking with his about his geriatric dogs, etc. This also helped me not feel anxious about the project, because I felt that I could trust him. For this fence, we received multiple quotes. Two companies were in the $9-10K range, another was around $12K, and an outlier was above $20K.
