No frills super solid easy go-to sushi! Love the TYS Roll Combo--it has everything i would normally pick, for a super reasonable price!! Adored this!!

Love this sushi restaurant! I used to order on grubhub all the time when I lived here. Finally went inside and ate when we decided to have a Philly day. We also ordered the spicy pork gyoza. Everything was so good! The service is fast. The place is clean and so is the bathroom. Highly recommended!

I'm so happy I got sushi from here! The rolls were decently sized and they don't s skimp on the ingredients!! They are also very decently priced as well. Most of the rolls that I ordered were around $6 each which I say is a steal! Sushi flavor was on point and I felt very satisfied with the quality. I would definitely order from here again. Next time I will have to dine in and see if the service matches up! Recommendations: Shrimp tempura Salmon avocado

Fantastic neighborhood Japanese BYOB. For the sushi and rice lovers (not noodles unless in soup), they have SO MUCH to pick from and all amazing. The dinner bento boxes are fantastic for takeout (you get a little bit of everything). In the restaurant, I cannot recommend enough the spicy pork bibimbap. Imagine a blazing hot stone bowl with rice, vegetables, pork, that continues to cook and get crispy while you eat it. AH-MAZING. Other recommendations- pork gyoza (fantastic), triple spicy double, tuna, roll, island, roll, Medusa roll. Great flavor, creative, and large in size. The staff is always wonderful and so friendly, and if you do want something to drink, there is a beer store next-door (it is overpriced, but it is convenient).

Came last minute on a Friday night and had about 15 minutes to order. They let me bring in a few beers, and have a cork fee for wine I believe. The sashimi sundae was delicious but didn't come with wasabi or much sauce, the tempura appetizer as crispy and light. The japchae was a nice surprise, super flavorful veggies and noodles. We were served pretty quickly with appetizers. There are booth and chair options, and the rolls are pretty large and filling. The quality of the sushi and fish was awesome and the price made me happy. BYOB sushi heaven!

Below average sushi spot. It was not very tasty and fish did not taste fresh. Rice was overcooked and slightly mushy. My initial pair of chopsticks were chipped so I asked for a new pair- the server gave me a pair of plastic chopsticks that were stained and there were what looked like bite marks on the end. I ended up just eating the sushi with my hands. The place was empty and quiet. No other customers were there. I would not be returning.

I had a pleasant dining experience at Doma with a friend. We received our food promptly. I had some of the best tasting sashimi and sushi here. Staff members were polite and responsive during our visit which made our visit even more pleasant. The atmosphere is very relaxed. It's a perfect little spot to bring a date or a few friends. It's very casual. I brought my own beer with me too.

My second time here for dinner without reservations and were seated quickly. Both times were good. Started off with the crab salad. This appetizer was not worth it since it was filled with just shredded crab sticks. Ordered the spider roll and the rock & roll. Both rolls were extremely filling and delicious. The rolls were quality rolls. Service was good.

Doma is a slightly hard to find Japanese/Korean restaurant within walking distance to the museums on Ben Franklin Parkway. Two families with young children walked here from Franklin Institute on a gorgeous Saturday in January. There was a couple of street parking spots near the restaurant, but it appears that most patrons walk to this restaurant from the surrounding neighborhoods. A tad before noon, and the restaurant was empty when we walked in. We occupied a long table that seated about 8 (we had 4 adults and 3 children in our party). The space is a little tight as the dining area is very narrow. The food was good and reasonably priced. It's mostly Japanese with a handful of Korean dishes. I had the duk bok ki appetizer, which was prepared a little differently than it would be made traditionally in Korea. Larger rice cakes that appeared to be finished off with a bit of toasting. The boys shared a tempura udon and california roll combo, which was priced right and I really liked the broth of the udon. My bento box was also reasonably priced, but the bulgogi was a little oversauced. I opted for the roll instead of the white rice, so I had nothing to offset the the flavor. Overall, a good experience, but the restaurant could use a little more space.

The food here is good with a variety from Japanese to Korean. Service is so very friendly. Restaurant is BYOB. However, the restaurant overall is not very clean and needs major updates. Starting from the clear chopsticks that are too worn out and is like toy chopsticks. Plates and bowls are a bit dusty and has some small particles on it. Restaurant has a lot of potential and I'm hoping there will be some improving over time.

Tasty food with lots of seating on a Friday evening…read more Spicy boneless chicken was good. Not too salty, not too drenched in sauce, nicely coated. Portion size was surprisingly big in a good way. Bulgogi Bimbibap was good but the bulgogi was a bit too saucy/wet for me. It made the rice by that area wet. Would likely not get this again unless it changes. After ordering, the staff brought some complimentary banchan. The potatoes were my favorite! I would come back for the chicken and to try some other things on the menu.

I was surprised how much my picky eater family enjoyed the food here! The service is very laid back, but that's ok, the food made up for everything else. The only negative was the bonchon at the start of the meal. I like when they offer more freshness like pickled radish and what not, this was on the heavier side with fried potatoes and something called "fish cake" that I would not recommend. The beef stir fry was a perfect meal, as far as I am concerned, containing my fave veggies (onions, mushrooms, carrots, cabbage). The flavor was spot on! My husband really enjoyed the bulgogi bibimbap; while I liked it too it wasn't one of my favorites and the rice wasn't crispy when we were served, like it usually is. When you are done you pay at the counter. Really "local" vibes and I highly recommend for the food!

We're never great at eating our money's worth, so the pay-as-you-go setup felt like a better fit. We got the favorite set for two, which ended up being plenty. The biggest highlight right away: they grill everything for you. KBBQ is just better when you can sit back and eat instead of managing the grill yourself. They also use a back grill to keep things moving, so there's barely any pause between rounds of meat. It felt really efficient. Also, the place is surprisingly clean and doesn't have that heavy "you're going to smell like smoke for the next 5 hours" vibe, which I really appreciated. Somehow they keep it all under control even with constant grilling. Service-wise, the staff were attentive and clearly working hard, especially since it seemed a bit understaffed. That said, my friend did feel a little uncomfortable at times. There were a few moments where it felt like we were being watched closely, almost like they were worried about a dine-and-dash situation, and we were asked multiple times if we had paid. I personally read it more as things being slightly disorganized with a small team juggling cooking, serving, and payments, but I can see how it might come across differently depending on how you interpret it. Food-wise, the meat was very good, but the banchan really stood out to me. The cabbage salad with a gingery soy dressing was super refreshing and cut through the richness of the meat perfectly. Free refills on banchan are always a win too. I also liked that the grill came with corn cheese, egg, and sprouts, nice extras you don't always get. The corn cheese wasn't as sweet as I expected, and the egg was a bit on the salty side, but still enjoyable. The tilted grill setup was another plus since it lets the grease drain away, so the meal didn't feel overly heavy like some AYCE spots. Overall, it was a really fun experience. A bit pricey, but worth it for the quality and how easy the whole meal felt. Just something to be aware of with the service dynamic depending on how sensitive you are to that kind of thing.

SERVICE The staff are kind and friendly! AMBIANCE Ample seating is available inside the store. We visited on a weekday evening, so it wasn't too crowded, but I can imagine it can get so on the weekends. PARKING Paid street/lot parking is available at a limited capacity.

We got the bulgogi hotpot, chicken feet, and seafood pancake. The bulgogi hotpot was packed with tender, marinated beef, fresh vegetables, and a rich, savory broth that came together perfectly. The chicken feet were well seasoned and gelatinous, very authentic in texture, and the seafood pancake was crispy on the outside with a soft, savory interior full of fresh seafood. The place feels authentic and they refill your banchan, which is always appreciated. The flavors are slightly less fermented and a bit more geared toward American palates, but still tasty. Since the hotpot is meant for two or more people, it's large and feels like both a meal and a bit of a show. The owner personally helped cut the meat and prepare the hotpot at the table, which was very hands-on and excellent service. It's located on the second floor, so it can be a bit tricky to find, but don't just walk past it. There are multiple TV screens around the restaurant showing both Korean and American channels, which adds a fun vibe. Everything is very reasonably priced, and I can't wait to come back. One note: we think we may have seen someone try to dine and dash. The staff weren't distracted and it didn't affect the service, but it's a reminder to always pay for your food and tip well. The place is clearly privately owned and not a chain, so it's important to respect that. Despite that, service was fantastic, and the food more than makes up for any small hiccups.

It just is not on the printed menu. Very cool, but also slightly chaotic. If you speak Korean, there is basically an unlocked menu situation. Same with tteokbokki. Not listed, but available. Love that for the insiders. The only downside is you do not really know all the prices ahead of time, and things ended up being a little higher than expected. It is right next to H Mart though, so prime real estate. The yukhoe came out still a tiny bit frozen in the center, but the seasoning was great. Nicely balanced sesame oil, garlic, a little sweetness. They mix it for you at the table which is a nice touch. We were mid mixing and they tried to take our picture which caught us off guard, but honestly it is a fair trade for how attentive and kind they were. Seafood tofu pot was a bit underwhelming protein wise. One shrimp and maybe two squid rings. Not exactly seafood heavy. That said, the broth itself had good depth and the tofu was silky and comforting. Service was warm and attentive the whole time. The space is super picturesque. Small booths with grills built into the tables, wooden frames, very traditional KBBQ vibes. Cozy and cute without feeling cramped. Overall, good experience.
