The interior and…read moreexterior of the shop itself are nothing unexpected, but the food surprised us all in the best way possible. I had the Main Street Stroll: mozzarella, tomato, arugula, and pesto on ciabatta. It was a perfect combination of ingredients. Each ingredient was fresh and in ideal proportions and flavors. I care very much about my sandwiches and this sandwich stood very high in my mental rankings. This next part is a review written by my daughter. I tried her BLT and I fully agree with everything she said: "The food here is amazing!!!!! I would especially recommend the BLT, I got mine without turkey and it was by far the best I have ever had! They put the tomato in between the lettuce so the bread wouldn't get soggy and that made it so much better than the ones I have tasted in the past. " The kebab chicken is also very nice. You rarely find grilled kebabs at a sandwich shop, but they've got them and they do a great job with the seasoning and the grilling. Thank you to the team there. You guys are doing an amazing job.

The Knack is a wonderful quick serve spot for lobster rolls, burgers, hot dogs, and chicken…read moresandwiches in Hyannis. The set up is almost that of a Shake Shack, where you order upon entering, and pick up the food from an adjacent area once it's ready. The interiors did seem a bit spartan to me, but was functional enough for grabbing a quick meal, and staff seemed to do a decent job of keeping tables clean. We ordered a chicken sandwich, a hot dog, a veggie burger, and a side of fries. While the food (4.5/5) wasn't gourmet by any means, it was just about as good as you can get for a fast casual place, and a few steps better in quality than your typical fast food chains. While the meal wasn't cheap, prices were in line with what it takes for a small business of this type to survive in Cape Cod, which relies heavily on seasonal tourism. Overall, The Knack was just what we were looking for with a quick and decent quality lunch, and we would gladly return here for a meal during future visits to Cape Cod.

What made it even more frustrating was the lack of any meaningful effort to make things right--not even an offer to comp a dessert after such an excessive wait. I understand restaurants can have an off night, but when customers are left waiting 90+ minutes and repeatedly raise the issue, I expect management to acknowledge it and take care of the customer. The prices of our quiche and coffee was fair, I hate to say it but I haven't had a decent cup of coffee during our visit so far. Parking proved somewhat challenging, as it is at the rear of the coffee shop, potentially making patrons feel somewhat confined or trapped. Nonetheless, pedestrians can access the shop easily straightforward walk-up. Upon entering, the warm and inviting atmosphere, reminded me of an East Coast Cracker Barrel, because it has an assortment of souvenirs including hoodies, homemade jams, and more.
