We had an opportunity to have Andrew come out to our house for a consultation and we are very pleased with his knowledge and professionalism. Andrew listened to our ideas and our thoughts on budget and he took that info and ran. A day later we had a design and a price point we could work with. We are still working through our pool project but so far we are very pleased with our experience with Dolphin Pools. We will continue to provide updates. read more

Thank you Dolphin Pools for my beautiful backyard. It was a great experience. My designer Joe had great suggestions and my construction superintendent Wes was very responsive and on schedule. I would highly recommend the in-floor cleaning system as it makes cleaning a breeze. The travertine, Boulevard white, was a nice touch of elegance around the pool and patio, as was the turf they installed. Even the inspector was impressed and said DP makes a great pool! I highly recommend. And yes they have very competitive prices! read more

Be very careful with this firm. The pool quality has turned out to be good, but the process of getting there was far from professional and very very stressful. -The build took nearly six months (sold as 2-3 max). -99% of the work is done by 3rd party contractors that dolphin has no control over (and they point to them when things get hung up). -When you ask questions you are told to go away and let us do our job. -The sales person DJ sells additional services (landscaping) and then doesn't backup his "lifetime" warranty (ie: irrigation system failing after 2 weeks of install) and blames it on his 3rd party subcontractors and that he's no longer going to support his lifetime warranty. - scheduling of next steps and managing the receivables process is an absolute mess (no one knows what's going on and when the next step is scheduled). - upcharged $10,000 due to "hard dig" (which we were told could be an extra $2500 max) - several other mandatory "upcharges" during construction process totaling over $3,000 In general our experience has been one of over promise and under deliver. Be careful and expect a far worse experience than what you are sold during the sales process. Do your homework. read more

Don't do it! Dolphin Pools installed our pool (along with their many subcontractors which was a nightmare) 3-4 years ago. It looked beautiful at first and we were so proud to have others over in our backyard. That changed quickly. A section of the pool decking began to sink, lifting on the other end and causing a large section of it to begin to crack. They sent their subcontractor out 3 different times to attempt to repair. It's never been right. Eventually, other areas of the pool decking have begun to separate from each other, and even the pool in a couple of spots. It looks so horrible, I am embarrassed. We just learned that due to poor design and preparation, the corner of our home near the sinking section has also been sinking and we just had to pay $7,000 to have our foundation repaired. Never again...I am so disappointed. Definitely do not recommend. UPDATE AND RESPONSE: Yes, you did send someone out after my review was posted and offered to fix it if we paid more money, not happening, but i want to be clear when I say that our deck has had large cracks and lifting from the very beginning so blaming it on our recent foundation issues is not appropriate. We called 3 times shortly after our pool was built when large separation began to occur, resulting in 3 failed attempts to make it level again. It will never be right unless we rip it out and start over with a qualified company that makes things right. Still wouldn't recommend. read more

BEWARE!!!!! Very poor after service.. have had pool 10 years and all plastering lifting.. several calls to dolphin have gone ignored and they have not had the decency to return calls or come review the issue.. we spent over $50k on the pool and now having to spend another $15k to have repaired by another company because these aholes will not respond!!!!! We signed a contract with dolphin in December of 2021. We finally have water in our pool and completed as of December 6th, 2022. We had lots of bad luck with schedules and weather etc during our whole project. I can definitely say there is major lack of communication between the office staff etc. I do want to recognize Jean-Luc (designer). He always went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and tried his best to keep us on schedule as much as he possibly could. He came out and did physical work that should have been done by other trades but he didn't want to hold things up so he did it himself. That is what you call excellent customer service. He was always kind and always willing to help & always had a good attitude. read more

After spending a lot of time searching for the perfect fit, I was so happy when I found Tony at Dolphin Pools. He is far better than any of the other people I've dealt with. He is thorough and communicative which is hard to find now a days! I'm so happy I went with Tony over anyone else read more

I am still active in the process with Dolphin and it is rough to say the least. My superintendent for my project is rarely to never available to speak with. I called in 4 times and left messages in the month of September and never heard back from him until I complained to the company. The money is all paid, so I will have no resolution from them I'm sure. Many of the projects that are theirs to complete, i am finishing (like burrying grounding wires, rounding off coping, and downgraded equipment repairs). When you pay for a quality product, it is hard to deal with sub-par service. I was told on Saturday that a service manager would call me on Monday. Here we are Tuesday night and I have heard from no-one. I would not recommend this company for there lack of communication and poor customer service. read more

I don't like to give bad reviews but if you are in the market to have a pool put in do not use this company. They didn't tell us about a possible hard dig which cost us an extra $5,000. Plus once the pool was completed they did not stand behind their work and after just a year the tile is falling off and they want to blame us for it! read more

I have to say that from the start we were misled by being told the dig would be 2 to 3 weeks out and wound up not starting for 6 weeks. Kimble has got to be the worst as far as his customer service skills because he has none and shouldnt be even in the position he is in. If there is a positive with this company its definitely Tonia . She is on top of her job. Our Superintendent was either working too hard or needs a new company cell phone because every time I left him a message to call me back he only did once. We made sure that the crews had a full ice chest of cold water and power aide every time they came here and didnt get one call from the office to say thanks or anything although the crews were very thankful. A word of advise for Kimble , next time you go golfing you might want to bring your company phone with you , you are in management afterall. read more

I would give them Zero stars if it were an option. Had to contact them via email and phone to setup a consultation. Somebody called me and sent me a credit application without giving me any other information on work or plans. I called back to try to schedule a visit because I didn't want to fill out application without knowing what plans would be. I told the guy I was undecided if I wanted to pay upfront or finance. He then "move me to front of the list" and scheduled an appointment for yesterday at 1pm. I left work early and waited for him to show up. NO CALL NO SHOW. How professional and what a great impression to make. I would stay away, I guess all the other reviews are true as well. read more

STAY AWAY!!!! So, we built a pretty extensive pool and went through 3 builders and choose Dolphin Pools, mainly because of the sales person Dustin who did an amazing job on the design and follow up. Unfortunately, the service follow up is as consistent with the reviews from others, it SUCKS. If you are looking for a pool company where you have to follow up every step of the way, Dolphin Pools is your company. Quite frankly, they should pay us for our need to follow up on scheduling to ensure we gets everything done. BUT it gets better!! We have some warranty work on the Travertine tile that needs to be done and when we reported it to Kayley in the warranty department, we were told: " We are currently in the middle of our busiest season, which is why work orders are taking longer to get completed. I have sent this out to the crew, and I am working to get a date for this repair. We should be able to get something for this upcoming week for you" That was 2 months ago!!! So, Dolphin pools is quick to take your money but unresponsive to follow up on warranty work. read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER - BEWARE You may not get what you paid for!! Our pool contract was signed on March 21st with funds delivered in hand to Dolphin Pools April 28th; today is November 15th and our pool is still not completed and we have no idea when it will be. I'm sure that Dolphin will have some "PR" response to this post to twist the circumstances to the homeowner, but in this situation, it is absolutely not the case. It started with the permits and the plans submitted for to the County to begin the building - they were WRONG - we didn't do the CAD drawing, in fact they didn't even show us the drawing until they told us to go fix it with the County ... yes, you heard me right - they told us to go talk to the county to correct it. 6 weeks into the process we aren't even past Step #1. To get back on track, I sent a note on June 14th to the owner, senior management and our sale rep just telling them that we are off on the wrong foot, and let's work together to get this back on track and exactly what our expectations were moving forward. It was really on deaf ears, only our sales rep Joe Ayers replied and still no commitment to prioritize us moving forward even though he had GUARNANTEED us that from point of payment to completion is 12 weeks. Excavation finally happened in mid-August - we were finally hopeful that the worst was behind us and we may still get a week or two enjoyment from our pool and spa, but obviously this is not the case. Shoddy workmanship, inexperienced and sloppy sub-contractors have caused further delays and the Dolphin superintendent and management team could care less. We escalate they send another less than impressive sub-contractor to do the rework and the story goes on. They didn't all suck - there actually had 3 contractors that were great - Excavation, gas and electric - the rest of them were terrible. No pride in there work, and terrible customer service. Just think about it - that is the plumber, rebar, shotcrete/gunnite, concrete, tile, decking terrible. We don't know yet about the Interior - we've still not heard/seen them, so I assume they fall in line with the rest. These are all the most critical aspects of the pool. After literally months of mess and disruption in our back yard - we find out that they haven't built the pool to the proper specifications and it is 3" to wide on one side of our square spa - a square is 4 equal sides. Our spa is now lopsided, and we have a 27-foot concrete hole in the ground. We told them at this point (it's now September) tear it out and do it over again. Obviously, they didn't want to do that - that would be an expensive undertaking and extreme disruption for everyone, including us. So, we settled on a small compromise - as long as their mistake wasn't visible, we could probably live with it - that was over a month ago October 8th. The Dolphin manager at this time also said that they guarantee 8 weeks from the time of excavation to completion, and yet here we are nearly 6 weeks from him making that statement, when 90% of the work was already done and we are still can't see the finish line. Mind you our compromise was changing out some tile - not rebuild the world - this should have been able to be addressed in a week - here we are 6 weeks later and we are still waiting. It's really just unthinkable that a company that somehow has a 4+ star rating everywhere can be so unresponsive and frankly can even remain in business. We did a lot of research on pools before deciding on Dolphin - they came to us as a recommendation by a trusted friend so we selected them. California Pools gave us the same design with the same price and we would probably have been swimming in August. At this point I don't even know if we will be swimming by next August. Beware - they aren't the company they say they are. read more

On time. On budget. We had them do our pool a few years ago and I jsut came across them on yelp so wanted to drop a review for them. We were very pleased. Over the last 10 years or so, we have had some bad experiences and been burned by contractors and are a probably a bit too cautious with them in general. Dolphin was patient with us and even when I thought they were veering off our agreement on our remodel, in hindsight I realize they stayed on task and in the end they were a pleasure to work with. I have recommended them since many times. The Jansens read more

I wouldn't recommend this company to my enemies. 12 years ago we had dophin pools put in a pool. First of all the representative didn't work with us to find out what we needed just sold us anything. Ok my error, and I see I wasn't the first or last to have this happen to. The person in the office I worked with left probably due to their shaddy work ethics. They ripped out a lemon tree without offering us options and then only paid us 50% of the value of the tree. The worse part is my "natural" waterfall made from "real" rocks has disintegrated to nothing but cement. People come over and comment on the cement waterfall maybe 3 "boulders" left. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ROCK WORK UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY FOR ROCK BUT GET CEMENT. read more

Customer service is not their strength. First off, our salesman did not listen to our list of things we wanted and didn't make as large of a profit as we ended up fulfilling some contract work ourselves. Our pool has been finished for 5-6 weeks now and there are still loose and damaged travertine tiles and 2 pipes sticking up where I thought that planter pots would be located. If a customer says that would like 2 irrigated planters for succulents above the cascading waterfall, they do not want 2 sleeves. The pipes look so ridiculous for the pool being "finished." Our checklist of things to be finished that was written up when the pool was filled has not been completed and we have emailed our supervisor many, many times. The rest of the pool looks beautiful. But time will tell if it is a quality build. read more

If you buy a pool from anyone else you are a fool first this pool is not my first The project was started July 6. Qualified sales rep Joe Ayres put together a perfect fit plan. Construction begins and we have a pool that will be done in 30 Days!!!! The fact that they have a Project Scheduler and a Construction Superintendent gets things done quickly and done right. Excellent communication throughout the process. Thanks Joe, George, and Tonia. We are an HOA located in Phoenix, Arizona and used Dolphin Pools to remodel our fifty year old, 45,000 gallon swimming pool. This included new electrical for lights, a commercial salt system, all new plumbing, including dual drain installation, and pool resurfacing. We also had our large pool deck refinished. The remodeling brought our pool up to new County regulations. We could not be happier with the service we received from Dolphin Pools. The start-up began as promised and the job took less time than we had expected. The various crews used by Dolphin were very professional, friendly and accommodating to our needs. Any communications directed to Dolphin was immediately responded to. We had no negative issues or any problems with the project. read more

It's one thing to have a great experience having a pool built but, sometimes, service and warranty after the sale is frustrating. That's not what I experienced with Dolphin Pools. A defective component necessitated me to contact Dolphin's Service & Warranty department. They sprang into action right away. It required part of my concrete pool decking to be removed to access and replace that component. The work was completed in such a professional way that there's no evidence anything was ever torn up and replaced. But that isn't the best part of their warranty service. The best part is that they treated me as a valuable Dolphin Pool customer, even after the sale and completion of the pool and, most important to me, how Christine Harrrell, in their warranty department, kept me informed every step of the way, coordinating scheduling, and checking on my satisfaction with the work in progress, and after completion. I felt Dolphin Pools deserved a shout-out, about my excellent experience with their warranty and service department, and that's what compelled me to write this review. read more

All the bad reviews are accurate. Signed the contract at the beginning of May. I have had a dirt backyard since June. I was told our pool would be done in Aug. Still no hole. They keep pushing back the date to start digging. The latest was they were suppose to be out yesterday or today. No one has shown. I have sent 3 emails since last week trying to confirm the start of digging. I haven't received one response. Also was told that a hard dig would be an estimated $4k-$6k extra which we budgeted for but guess what? We had bids as high as $31k!! No lie! Pool installation went fine. They use faulty Hayward pumps that fail often in Phoenix heat. These basically are not repairable and must be replaced for around a thousand dollars. Dolphin Pools knows about this and yet continues to use and sell this product. If you are out of warranty, pony up your thousand dollars and find someone else because they will not work with you nor replace/repair anything. They recommend you go elsewhere to have it fixed! Imagine that! Their warranty/customer service sure needs an upgrade. read more
