I highly recommend Boulder Valley Pools! The level of professionalism and thoroughness from Paul was exceptional. I had issues with both my vacuum head and hoses and Paul took a lot of time to explain exactly what was going on with my pool setup. He walked me through how the equipment operates and pointed out warning signs to prevent further issues. Paul genuinely cares about the quality of his work and even followed up shortly after the visit to verify that the system was running smoothly and that I was completely satisfied. If you are looking for a reliable, knowledgeable, and customer-focused pool service, look no further! read more

1 Star Extremely disappointing experience. I contacted this pool company because I needed a basic quote for a crack in my pool. I was told someone would come out to take a look, but no one showed up. I called again and was told they would come out the next day. Again, no one showed up. I then received an apology and was told I was penciled in for Tuesday and that they could probably provide me with a quote if I sent pictures, my address, and my personal information. I did exactly that and provided everything they requested. Still no quote. I eventually called again because I never received the promised email. I was then told that they thought they had already given me the quote. They hadn't. And, once again, no one came out on Tuesday as promised. At this point, it was just excuse after excuse after excuse. I spent my time making calls, sending pictures and information, and trying to accommodate their schedule, only to never receive the basic service I originally requested. I honestly don't understand how this company has so many positive reviews based on my experience. Regardless, I would never use or recommend this company. If getting a simple estimate is this difficult, I certainly wouldn't trust them with an actual pool repair. read more

Contacted Paul, owner, Boulder Valley Pools, at random from list of Hayward dealers. He was quicky responsive in finding the PC Display Board needed for my controller. His Technician was out the next day, installed the part, ran through the Menu checks with me and ensured all functions contolled by the PC Board actually worked. Very efficient install at a fair price. Very pleased with my choice of dealers and certainly will use in the future. Riley Whitman 6/11/2025 read more

I have known Paul since he began in the pool business. Paul is a considerate business man, a great friend, a hard worker, wants the best for his customers. He always makes sure his employees do a good job and when it isn't up to his expectations he makes them fix it. He has done several jobs for us. We're satisfied with all of his work. He just finished redoing our jacuzzi, since it leaked no thanks to the previous builder an idiot. He repaired the leak, built a step, replaced the tiles, put in new pebble tech, put in a new hand rail, rescheduled our pool system, leveled travertine pavers. Paul made it a point to make sure we could use our jacuzzi on New Years Eve. He values your business and keeps it by giving you reasonable prices. If you need any pool work done, give Paul at Boulder Valley Pools a call. (480) 268-6654 read more

We can't say enough about how wonderful Paul, Felix, and the rest of the team were that worked on remodeling our spa. When we moved into our home the spa was in really bad shape. The equipment did not work and tiles were broken and falling off the inside. since it was inoperable it was basically a cesspool with standing water in the bottom. Can't tell you how many little chipmunks lost their lives in that thing! We even had a coral snake in there one evening, it was still alive so we were able to rescue it and send it on its way. That's about the time we decided it was time to get that thing fixed. I called at least 4 other pool companies just to get an estimate and every one of them told me "we don't work in that area" or "too far south for us." I was really beginning to get discouraged when I called Boulder Valley Pools and Paul, the owner, answered right away. He was polite and immediately said "sure! I'll come take a look." He was very up front and honest - gave us options for how to get the spa back in working condition. We had him and his team completely remodel it and install all new equipment (pump/filter/heater). Turned out amazing!! Paul took the time to explain the work being done and when it was finished he walked us through how everything works and what we needed to do to maintain it. That was actually almost 2 years ago. A few months ago we needed Paul again to help us out. We came home to a leak in the inlet pipe that feeds the spa. Water was pouring all over the back porch. We called Paul for advice - he put us in touch with a leak detection company who located the leak. Felix then was able to jackhammer into the kool deck, find the broken pipe, repair it. The kool deck was also repaired back to its original (actually better) condition. If you need any sort of pool work done, I highly recommend Paul and Boulder Valley Pools. He is honest, friendly, knowledgeable, and reasonable pricing, too. read more

I had been using another company for over a year and in the past month as the temperature went up, they were not able to keep my pool clear. At one point it almost went green. I called Boulder Valley yesterday in the morning, spoke to Paul about the situation and he was able to swing by mid day. After checking his 3 keys, he realized that although the water was chemically balanced, the filters needed to be cleaned and the pump and valve were clogged. Even though he didn't have to, he stayed to clean the filters and show me how the system works so I can trouble shoot in between services. As you can see from the pictures it didn't take long for the pool to clear up. It was clear that evening and the next morning was perfect. I look forward to using this company and trust that they have the best ability to keep my pool in perfect condition. Big shout out to the owner Pail for his hard work yesterday. read more

Paul and his crew were amazing! I am excited to enjoy it very soon! Everything is working great and I love the color of the pebble and my new Baja step! It is my dream pool. The rocks also look so real! Paul was always prompt and completed things on time. Even when there was a few days of rain things got finished quicker than anticipated. I remodeled a pool last summer with another big name company and Paul and crew exceeded my expectations! Thank you! read more

We had a very bizarre experience with this pool company. We wanted to upgrade our pool pump, so we contacted Paul to get an estimate. He sent the estimate over very quickly which was nice. We told him that before signing the estimate acceptance, we wanted to know how far out he was booking. He said next week or the following at the latest. We had an active (but small) leak, so we wanted it done sooner rather than later. We signed the estimate acceptance on a Friday. I immediately texted Paul and told him it's signed and requested to be put on his schedule. And by the next Friday, we hadn't heard anything. We did receive a call from Paul, but he left no voicemail and when we tried to return the call, his voicemail box was full. However, we had a guy ring or doorbell at 6:45am on that Friday and he woke up the entire house (including a baby). It turns out that he was from this company and said he was here to check out the pump. I still don't know if he was planning to replace it or trying to get a look at it again, because my husband told him to come back at an acceptable hour. We had no forewarning that he was coming to our house, and our entire family had covid. If they would have given us a warning, we would have told him to come at a more acceptable time and definitely wouldn't have met him face-to-face for his protection. We had another company come out today and give us a quote, and can get us on their schedule to replace it on Monday. We decided to go with them instead. I'm not sure if this company has issues getting product or is just too busy, but the delay and failure to notify that an employee was coming to our house was disappointing. read more

We recently had Boulder Valley Pools complete some work on our 24 year old pool. We had new cool decking, mini pebble tec installed, as well as new tile. They also completed work on the filter. We interviewed several pool companies and were impressed with Paul's( the owner) quick response to our call and his professional manner. We found Paul to be very knowledgeable about what our pool needed and his no pressure approach when selecting the materials . He kept in contact every day and let us know what was going to happen and when. He answered all our questions and completed the job quickly. We were very pleased with the project. We would not hesitate to recommend Boulder Valley Pools . In addition, Paul became a friend to our dog! read more

Talk about a hard working guy! Paul the owner must never sleep. He busted his behind throughout my whole experience with him. My pool was resurfaced with mini pebble and new tiling and it looks awesome!!!! The crews that came for each step were always very professional, pleasant, and did a great job cleaning up before they left. In addition, Paul personally answered the phone whenever I called and was always super nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend this company to anyone! read more

Paul at Boulder Valley Pools was great to work with. We received several quotes and BVP got the job. They performed a resurface with aqua blue mini pebble, added a dedicated vacuum line, new tile, pump and plumbing installation. The total project took approximately two weeks from first day to pool fill. Paul and his team met our expectations. He explained the process to us, and was transparent throughout the remodel. Paul did what he said he was going to do when he said he was going to do it, and was responsive to all of our questions, needs and concerns. We will continue to use Boulder Valley for any future pool servicing needs. read more

I have been waiting months to have my pool resurfaced by Boulder Valley Pools. I received a quote and accepted it back in March of this yr and they still have not started on my pool. Now I have to find another company to start on it. This has delayed my yard Renovation for 6 months. I would recommend staying far away from this company. They do not honor their agreements. Our pool pump was going out. I had called another pool company and they wanted to repair the old pump. After some research and speaking with Paul, we decided to replace the pump with a new one. Paul fit me in to his schedule. Corey arrived and had the new pump up and running in no time. Has been working flawlessly for 5 days. My Hayward Aquaconnect actually works now! I can recommend Boulder Valley Pools for your pool needs without hesitation. read more

Paul is an honest man who is good at what he does. After interviewing a dozen different pool companies (large and small) for my pool remodel I chose Paul. I found him via Yelp as I found other resources less reliable. I chose him because he was honest to a fault. He was very easy and flexible to work with in the planning stage and then ramped up quickly for construction. He educated us about the process before starting, kept us informed throughout construction, always asked before adding or changing anything as unforeseen challenges occurred. His crew were all very contentious and produced quality workmanship. I feel like Paul and his team put a good amount of thought and craft into our remodel and my family and I love our new pool! We just bought an 1970s home and the existing pool was pitting and staining, the deck was severely cracked, needed an anti vortex drain, auto-leveler, and new tile. We spent a modest amount on the remodel and got a lot of value. I highly recommend Boulder Valley Pools! read more

Paul and his team just finished replacing all of the pool equipment for us at a home we recently purchased. Paul and his team are rad. Just plain rad. Didn't try to oversell us on services/products we didn't need. Was honest and upfront about what he thought we needed and what we could fix ourselves. Beautiful job from start to finish from the pool-emptying to the acid wash (We had no idea our pool could look like this) to the installation of the new pump and new plumbing. My hot tub stopped working and I needed it fixed for the weekend since I had guests come in town. I looked around and could not find anyone who could help me right away...until I found Boulder Valley Pools. I was able to talk to Paul who was more than friendly and helpful and was able to help me within a days notice. Same day actually. He had someone clean out my hot tub, refill it and the next day Paul came by to troubleshoot my hot tub to see what might need to be fixed/replaced. The guy who drained my pool and cleaned it came to my house same day that evening and was out working on it in the dark till he finished. He was very friendly, helpful, and he knew exactly what he was doing. Very great attention to detail. Fortunately, Paul was able to fix my issue next day without having to order any parts at all. I just had to pay the service fee which I gladly did. I could tell right away Paul was one of the coolest, most friendliest guys I ever met in AZ! Definitely someone I would consider a friend no doubt, both the guys! I've only been here for 2 years now but I can say with all honesty that Paul and other guy saved my weekend. We need more people like them around here. Thanks again and I will make sure to give you guys a call in the near future and send referrals your way. read more

Boulder Valley Pools - Fantastic job with tile work and pebble tech. - Pool Cleaners Near Me

I recently had our pool deck refinished. The people who work under Paul are amazing and do great work. (Luis) Unfortunately, the same can not be said about the owner Paul. For as long as Paul has been in business he should know better estimates on his products. When we were quoted prices they were always a range and ended up always being the higher value. My husband agreed to do little tasks but the price did not reflect that in the price deduction. So when my husband did complete the job, that he said he need ASAP. In reality the task could of been done 2-3 days after. Paul would show up in an untimely manner and would do one menial task per day just say he showed up. I do not recommend Paul due to his lack of communication. and professionalism. Update May pool redone in December: We paid extra to have our cracks fixed-the cracks are back! Very disappointing. Again, buyer beware when using Boulder Valley Pools. read more

Paul and his team are incredible! After Big Daddy Construction took my money and couldn't finish my pool renovation, I contacted Boulder Valley Pools and Paul restored my faith in pool contractors - he came out the very next day to take a look at the project and had a solution for every problem left by the other company. I gave Paul the job and I was not disappointed. His Pool Deck guy, Luis, did an outstanding job of grinding down my existing decking to concrete then skim coating, texturing and finally top coating the surface, it looks brand new and Paul went above and beyond to cut expansion joints and installed a new deck drain that looks amazing. The job site was very challenging with no side gate access to the pool and the crew was extremely respectful and did a terrific job of cleaning the site and the home after work was complete each day (which I really appreciated). Finally, Paul and his friend Rich came back a few days later and acid/chlorine washed my pool and it's never looked better. Throughout the experience Paul and his team were on time, every single time, and communication was flawless. There were never any surprises and Paul took the time to walk me through every part of the job and showed me how everything worked on my pool. The most important part for me was the fact that Paul was here every day supervising his crew and doing a lot of the work himself to ensure I was happy. Save yourself the hassle of working with other pool contractors who sub-contract and outsource the work - hire Paul with Boulder Valley Pools, you'll be happy you did! read more

Paul was quick with his estimate (initial callback to set the appointment within an hour), and it beat the next competitor by 10%. I had a major remodel ... the coping ground off, mini pebble and new edge tile installed, a dedicated vac line created (requiring some cement sawing and refilling), and the Kool Deck repaired and repainted. From start to finish was 8 days, and the pool looks gorgeous! Paul is responsive, entertaining, and very good at his job. No hiccups beyond the usual small stuff with any remodel, and every request was handled in a timely manner. I don't hesitate to recommend this company! read more

I don't have a lot of experience with pools or pumps. we just got a house and have a spa that we have been wanting to use. Our pump was broken so I messaged these guys on Friday after thanksgiving. Our plaster pool was in need of a face lift, Paul answered our first call, set up a same day estimate, came out, had the written estimate email within 2 days. We had 4 other companies come out over the next week to give estimates, Paul's was the lowest. We did not chose this company because they were the lowest, we picked them because the owner/operator had the best attitude and had the best customer service. He didn't try to sell us things we didn't need. He helped us pick out decorative turtle tiles and worked with us while we waited for them to be delivered. Overall in 2.5 weeks we have a new pool. They did an excellent job, and were very easy to work with. I have recommended this business to others in my neighborhood. read more
