It was so gross that they didn't even eat it. Birds did

Absolutely the worst experience ever 2 of us paid for the 169.00 dolphin deal "Free" lunch BS my boyfriend brought his plate out to sit & eat. I grabbed 1 chip off his plate the lady came out & said I owed 20.00 I said I'm not eating she said you did. No I had a bite of 1 chip that was it she demanded that we pay 40.00 I said no 2 of us are not eating. She got the police & told us we now owe 67.00 I said for what? No one ate or drank anything. She said it was 67.00 for our "actions" or we would be arrested this is inside the discovery dolphin resort area BEWARE true Extortion!

Do you like highway robbery?! This place is an absolute ripoff. For my family and I, we purchased a dolphin swim package of about four hundred dollars. Experience was very rushed. The facilities, including the locker room, were dirty and not well maintained. We also I paid for the buffet which was refried beans and melted cheese and some old and disgusting watermelon. So here's the kicker. I wanted a photo of my son with the dolphins. They are charging forty dollars for each photo!!! So far our family, The cost of the photos would have been more than the actual cost of the experience at about five hundred dollars!!! I've had experience with other another dolphin swims in cancun. There, they charge ten dollars or so for a printed photo with a frame. So the cost here is four hundred percent more, and they don't print the photo or give you a frame or give you anY type of discounted pricing. So if you like a place that takes advantage its customers and has exorbitant prices with terrible food and poorly kept facilities you have found the perfect place.

The dolphins get five stars but the photo scam gets negative stars , I did not haggle hard so I paid regular price which was $140 for 41 digital photos for two people ... other members in tour were able to get price down after haggling ... they should just post a fair price that everyone pays so that doesn't leave people feeling ripped off and feeling annoyed. Dolphins were adorable thought and at least they are in this ocean like setting versus in a zoo like setting.

We decided to book directly from Dolphin Discovery as opposed to through the cruise line for our Cozumel excursion to Chankanaab and I was SO glad we did!!! Easy 10 minute taxi ride from port, simple check in process, gorgeous beach and snorkeling and the dolphin VIP Royal Swim was everything we ever hoped for!! 10/10 recommend and would book again in a heartbeat. Pictures are a pretty penny, but worth it for a once in a lifetime experience.

Horrible experience! Paid for the vip premium food package which stated it included steak and lobster see the attached photos and once we (party of 8 at 45 per person) we were told it was not included. The 18/pre person buffet was a better option save your money!!! Complete RIP off!!!! They also mention a dolphin show which isn't a show! Worst experience in cozumel!

We took this package for 6 ppl. Because its something the kids can do since they wanted to swim. Kids enjoyed the snorkling but the food was horrible. Its a buffet of whatever the cook can cook. I was only able to eat the pork butt with sauce and the rice and rice with milk and Jello. Ive been to Mexico and had better Authentic Mexican food. The guide were good. Speaks good english Angel. And thats the 3 stars

VIP Dolphin encounter- go all out! It's worth it

I knew Chankanaab had a nice facility where they are actually in the ocean with nets that keep them in.

My favorite things here was looking at all the different birds, observing the wildlife, and sitting by the ocean. It was so beautiful everywhere you went! We also saw so many wild lemurs here throughout the park which was cool. However, since the park was so big, we ended up spending a lot of time walking to each experience. Overall, I would recommend this park since there are so many things to do!

A full-day adventure you still won't finish…read more We spent a full day at Xcaret Park, and honestly, it was one of the highlights of our entire trip. There is SO much to do that you genuinely can't fit it all in one day--underground rivers, beaches, snorkeling spots, wildlife exhibits, and cultural experiences throughout the park. Everything is beautifully maintained, super clean, and very well organized. The staff was helpful from start to finish, and the whole place felt safe and easy to navigate. Food options were plentiful with something for everyone, and it was a huge plus that meals were included. There's also plenty of parking (we didn't have to pay), which made getting there stress-free. A few helpful tips: * Bring water shoes - you'll thank yourself in the rivers * Bring a waterproof phone pouch - must-have for photos * You'll need to sign a waiver at the start * You'll receive a wristband + locker key with a chip (included, no extra charge--just don't lose it!) * There are plenty of showers and changing areas, plus parking within the park Be prepared--there is a LOT of walking, so wear comfortable shoes and pace yourself. Overall, this place is a must-do if you're visiting Mexico. It's the perfect mix of adventure, nature, and culture all in one unforgettable experience.

It was ok overall, but not something I'd ever pay for again…read more It was around $360 for 2 people (4 person tour size) which included the dolphin leg push. Taxi to the destination was separate and $15 each. When you arrive, they have you watch 5-10 minutes of safety + general environmental awareness videos before putting on life vests. Then you walk to the pool and get into the water. There is a guide and photographer with you the entire time, and closely guides the dolphins on what to do. Dolphins did some cool stuff - flips, leg push, got to touch them, but nothing crazy and wasn't as personal as I expected even in a small group of 2-4. After the dolphin visit (around 45 min - 1 hour) then comes pictures. They take you to a room and try to convince you to pay $210 USD for 10 pics, and the packages get more expensive from there. I personally did not want to buy the pics, and felt pretty harassed about this. Would rather just leave after the visit next time. Not sure if I'd recommend. It was cool to do once, but definitely pricey and probably better places you could go.

Awful. So regret not going with Dolphin Discovery. We loved our Dolphin Discovery experience some…read moreyears back but they were closed on the day we could go. Delphinus clearly has connections so they are attached to Xplor Xelha mega company and other locations. This was a terrible experience and to total rip off for the money. Delphinus said small groups but they meant a mega group split up into 8 groups that took forever with 2 smaller, older dolphins. They kept repeating simple exercises to stall for time. We paid extra for the superman push and the dolphins fail to push kids out of the water properly (not even past the waist) To be fair, the dolphins weren't given enough swim distance to get the momentum needed but we really had to question how small and old these dolphins are that the same 2 dolphins were performing these activities for a huge group. Then at the end, they added some weird and unnecessary snorkel with the dolphin. You can get the same experience in a smaller group, better run and actually get pushed out of the water during the superman push at Dolphin Discovery. The photos are super expensive but they are no matter where you go. Delphinus does not offer the additional video though. We added the additional cost of transport. It takes about 30 minutes from Playa del Carmen. We had a 10am reservation so they picked us up at 8:50am at a nearby location. On the transport back, they combined us with a group that clearly stayed for another experience so we sat waiting 20 minutes for them in a non air conditioned area with nothing to do and no food or water. Then to add to the wait, we dropped them off first at playacar - I'm sure they were happy. So this added another 10 minutes for a total of 1h 40m (11:20am-12:40pm) for what should have been a 30m transport. We were hot, bored and very hungry - we thought this just added to the stinky experience. To finally being dropped off at 12:40pm. The driver wouldn't even let us off a few blocks earlier with some nonsense about being tracked, like that was our problem. After multiple complaints and getting re-directed, a month later they refunded the transport.
