We had an absolute blast at Delphinus! My boyfriend and I only did the Splash option (least interactive option available) and it was more than enough for us. You are not allowed to take your phone or camera in so the only photos you get are from the photographer (which means added cost - we got the 10 digital photos for $118 USD - reason to knock of a star because you don't know that/the cost until afterwards). It was definitely something that is one and done, but it was something I've also wanted to do.

BE AWARE OF THE PICTURES PACKAGES!!! We thought we got a great deal by paying $220 for a family of four. We ended up paying an additional $338 for all the pics (USB). TOTAL $558!!! Plus transportation ($40). The most affordable package was $272 for 10 picture and there was even a higher option for $378!!!! I'm extremely disappointed that I found out about the picture packages at the end!!! BE AWARE!!!

Loved experience here! It's worth every penny! If you choose this place you will see that they take a really good care of dolphins. Our instructor Sam was great ! Thanks for teaching us how to make Pixan sing , say good bye in their language:) I will remember the ride with dolphins all my life.

Our family had one of the most amazing days to kick off our summer vacation. This was our first time to the park and I must it is massive! So much to do so be sure to arrive early and plan your day tactfully to take advantage of all they have to see and offer. 2 days definitely recommended if you are wanting to experience everything and not have to be too crammed or rushed. The underground river circuit was amazing and so much to see along the float. My only "quejo" or "complaint" is that they should monitor how many people are in at a certain time as sometimes you can be jammed packed in narrow areas. The food at the Oaxaca restaurant was definitely on point with a wide variety of food choices from vegan to bbq to salad to dessert. They have everything you could ever want to try while in the Mayan Riviera. You gotta try the cochinita pilbil. The Mexico Extravaganza Show was hands down one of the best shows I have ever seen in my life and that says a lot because I have seen a lot of shows in my life so far. The culture and musical growth displayed from various regions of the country. I would recommend you arrive early to try and get a good seat in the theatre and be sure you know it is an open air theatre with a roof so it can get warm. Once seated you can then go to the bar or snack / concessions below. Definitely invest in the photo package as there are so many photo spots and it saves you from wondering if you got a great shot for your trip that day. Xcaret Plus is what we purchased which includes the all day pass to the park, one admission to the buffet or a restaurant on site (Cocktails / Alcoholic drinks not included). We drove ourselves to the park but they do offer hotel pick up and drop for your convenience. Getting and out is easy. They speak many different languages so rest easy knowing that you have help if needed or have questions. The Xcaret group knows how to run a tourism business as we have used them in the past and everything is well organized. You get a lot for a great price. Next up, Chichenitza with them tomorrow

My favorite things here was looking at all the different birds, observing the wildlife, and sitting by the ocean. It was so beautiful everywhere you went! We also saw so many wild lemurs here throughout the park which was cool. However, since the park was so big, we ended up spending a lot of time walking to each experience. Overall, I would recommend this park since there are so many things to do!

They were 15+ min late picking us up only to wait for 1+ hours at the dock for the catamaran. It was advertised as a catamaran, snorkel, island adventure, and then an exclusive beach club. Snorkeling was amazing but equipment was cheap and not enough time to do it. The "exclusive" beach club was not nice at all. Food was mediocre at best and felt like we were eating at a mess hall. Basically this was a booze cruise, which is great for some, but it was not sold to us as such and it was a totally disappointing experience. There they served us light refreshments before we were off. It's never a guarantee of what we'll be able to see (because wildlife), the boat ride itself was an adventure as we had to travel fairly far out to the spot where the current had currently pushed up a lot of food and thus where the whale sharks were likely to hang out. We saw sea turtles along the way! Also completely out of our control is the condition of the waves, the day we went out was choppy. I luckily don't get motion sickness but for others it was tough - highly recommend coming prepared and taking Dramamine BEFORE you start on the boat ride! If you take it after you're sick it's too late! We were lucky - there were about 10 whale sharks! They mentioned the previous day there were around 5. We each had a couple turns going out to swim with the whale sharks, going two at a time together with guide Dara who helped us all navigate in the water. We felt safe and completely taken care of the whole time - even for those who were sick, they were always attentive by offering water and other solutions to make everyone feel better (ie. lying down on the ground or spending some time in the water). On the way back, we were lucky enough to pass through a big group of dolphins - they were riding the waves right next to us! We also stopped by the beach on Isla de las Mujeres and they prepared us some delicious snacks: ceviche and mangos. All in all we had an amazing trip and would highly recommend the Mexico Whale Shark tour for anyone who is interested! Great people and wonderful service.

I did the manatee and sea lion encounters and found the experience absolutely amazing. I was hesitant to go because I know that many companies like this aren't very humane to the animals. After visiting, I can't speak credibly about how this specific company is with the animals. However, I was happy to see that the dolphins and manatees were in large ocean-based pens. Also, the first manatees my group got in the water with weren't in the mood to interact. The tour operator moved our group to different manatees- definitely the right move to not force them. Some of the things I did in addition to the animal encounters were, 1- watch the sea lion show, 2-swim in their pool, 3- eat at the Dolphin View restaurant. All three of those were solid. In particular, hopping in the pool after visiting the sea lion habitat which didn't feel super clean (but was probably appropriate for the animals). The food at Dolphin View was good. Not mind blowing, but was included in the tour and included margaritas (yum!). There is a rental fee for lockers and the experience/cost of buying photos is horrible (as I anticipated). The photo packages are exorbitantly priced. However, they are somewhat negotiable if you begin to walk away. You aren't allowed to take your own photos. So, be ready to pay if you want them! Also, bring sandals or water shoes if you are visiting with dolphins or manatees. The ground is hot and the deck is splintery. Also, it is a long walk and you can leave your sandals on the dock. The ocean based in-water landing is slick, mossy, and is rough on your feet. So, water shoes are a great move if you want extra protection. Overall, I liked my visit and will cherish getting to interact with the animals. The interactions were long and there were multiple photo ops with the animals. I mean- who doesn't want a manatee kiss?! I had fun.

Once we arrived at the port, we were placed in a taxi to Chankanaab. When we got there, our tour guide walked us through what to expect, and we all changed into our swimwear. They had lockers available for use, for free! We met manatees Angel and Josie, they were so gentle and sweet. We even got to feed them lettuce, which was such a fun moment for my kids. Two years ago, we did a different excursion with dolphins and my daughter was terrified of the splashing. This one felt way more kid friendly and calm. I definitely recommend it for families with younger kids, especially if they don't like salt water splashing all over them. The excursion also included access to the pool, unlimited food and drinks, and snorkeling. You do need to rent gear if you didn't bring your own. The line for food was long and no wet clothes were allowed inside. I had to get in line multiple times to bring food for my family. The service was amazing though. Israel kept our drinks coming. Overall, it was a great day and a much better experience than the one we had before.
