    Margarita time!
    Adrienne M.

Where do I begin!? Upon arrival, my friends and I were greeted by our friendly tour guide Dennis. We signed some paperwork and was guided to the locker room, gift shop, and bar area. After taking a quick pic with the parrots, we jumped on our transportation to the mud madness part of our tour. Since it rained the night before it was the perfect day for some fun in the mud! You have a choice to choose an ATV or a dune buggy; we opted for the dune buggy but will definitely choose the ATV next time to get real dirty! Make sure you wear an outfit you don't mind getting dirty. I wore glasses to protect my eyes since I wear contacts, a bathing suit top, biker shorts, boots (you can wear water shoes too) and a bandana to cover my mouth. Anything you want to leave you can put in a cubby where you'll be going back to after you're done in the mud. We had the pleasure of Abel guiding us through the jungle. Midway through we stopped to eat snacks (which were given to us in cute picnic baskets) and to check out one of the cenotes. At this point, I was able to switch drivers with my boyfriend and head back to the cubbies. It was thrilling to go through the muddy sinkholes! My friends and I were joking around with the sinkholes because back home in New Jersey our potholes are almost the same LOL! Next up, swimming in a cenote! Definitely on my "to-do" list in Mexico. They provided life jackets if needed. There's also a zipline for those who are more adventurous. It was a great experience that I can now X off my list! Lastly, mixology! We were guided to a treehouse type area that had two margarita glasses per person and bartending equipment; time to make margaritas! Dennis was great at teaching us how to make the drinks AND guacamole! Next, on the menu was fajitas. Since I am a pescatarian they were flexible enough to provide me with a veggie option. My friends got chicken, I got veggie; everyone's happy! Did I say lastly? We ALSO got to plant a seed and write our names on it. The entire staff took proper precautions when it came to wearing a mask, providing hand sanitizer and so on. Since we were a group of five we did not have other people on the tour with us which was great since we visited during a pandemic. Just remember; riding through the jungle in a 4x4, swimming in a cenote, making margaritas and guacamole, eating fajitas, and planting a seed all in one tour WHAT MORE CAN YOU ASK FOR?! Again, thank you Dennis, Abel, and the whole crew for an amazing first experience in Cancun!

Where do I even begin? When my group & I first arrived I was taken back by the aesthetics of the fixtures and furniture in the jungle. We were given a choice of driving an ATV or a Dune Bug and I opted for the Dune Bug due to driving an ATV in D.R. Let me just say Dennis & Abel made this experience truly one to remember. They were so warm and welcoming. They were both so willing to share with us the history of the jungle and & give us places to visit during our stay. Please note this excursion can get really messy. Due to the heavy rain prior to our arrival there was a lot of mud & big puddles to drive through. So much fun! We were able to clean off in the cenotes & I managed to actually get in the water but I didn't go far. After the Mud Madness we climbed up the tree to a small dining area to make MARGARITAS! Who would've guessed as a adult you'd make drinks in a treehouse essentially. Once again Dennis went above and beyond. Our experience was will with laughter, music & of course margaritas. The mixology segment was such a nice experience to wine down & soak in all the fun we had from the Mud Madness journey. & right before our departure we were able to plant a seed which will grow into a tree in the jungle. It truly touched my heart that we were able to give back to the Earth while we enjoyed its true natural state. Key things to remember. Dennis & Abel. Mud Madness, Mixology, & planting a seed. These are all memories for a lifetime.

What a fun and easy way to spend your day here in the Yucatan. You start your day with several long and short zip lines after a short safety briefing, you have a guide every step of the way to set you on your line and off to the next. Everyone is so friendly and helpful even when they're busy, they obviously care about you having fun. The only thing is, there is a lot of steps! When it's hot (85+), humid and your climbing roughly two dozen flights of stairs you might be a bit warn out, luckily it's not a fast climb so you get to take your time a little. At the end of the zip line tour you do a zip line into a pool so bring water proof shoes (rubber flip flops) or water shoes! The human roller coaster is ok, not very fast and definitely not very scary - but enjoyable. We chose to go on the ATV ride, which takes away from your swimming time in the cenote but you still get swim time after - the ATV is fun but you are just driving in circles and it's very very bumpy so I wouldn't suggest doing this with no experience or at least some upper body strength. The cenote is lovely, clean, and comfortable temperature water with fun rope diving and a walk in area too. Over all I would absolutely recommend this place, it's a fun day full of zip lines, balance bridges, swimming and really great employees. Even if you're nervous after the first few lines you feel like a pro and everything there is well maintained so you feel safe. A light lunch is also provided at the end with the option to buy photos of your experience.

Cenote had 3 water swings, a zip line, and 2 platforms to jump from.

Hands down, our favorite thing we did in Cancun. We did Mud Madness in a Polaris and swam in a cenote. Jorge, aka Scrappy, was our guide. He was personable, funny, and kept us informed. The lifeguard at the cenote was encouraging, kind, and goofy. We like to have fun, and they played off of that. It made our experience feel like we were with friends.

This was a wonderful experience. I will like to say that this establishment as whole did a good job making sure its customers were well entertained and did so in a safe manner. I in no way felt I was in any danger during any of the activities. With that said, I would like to say at first glance I was pretty intimidated by the sheer height of some of the ziplines. I wanted to run. I with my girlfriend however pushed forward on our adventures regardless of fear. All the equipment used was in good condition and the staff appeared well trained and friendly in their work. Upon arrival you will be dropped off into the thick vegetation of Cancun nothingness which added to the immersion of the experience. I have somewhat a fear of heights, but I was at no time afraid considering how professional the staff was and how well maintained the safety equipment was. I will say be prepared to go through many and many different ziplines at different speeds and heights and carry or stay hydrated. The ATV experience we got jointly with ziplines however, wasn't so great. I think honestly after being worn out from fun of ziplines nothing else could compete. The ATV rides were slow and just not fun in general and we could of actually avoided the whole second part of the experience and saved money. The final experience is a dive into a large hole in the ground which I can only guess is about 15-20 feet deep. I cannot swim so I didn't even attempt to dive. Once we were finally done for the day we drove back to finalize our expedition. We were treated to a light lunch of beans, chicken, fajitas and iced tea. The food is ok so don't expect fancy, but it was all included in the purchase so it was well worth the experience. At the very final end you are asked, if you would like to purchase any photos that were taken of you from the day of ziplines. I will say that even though the photos are of professional quality I was put off by the extremely high purchase price of the individual photos of $29.99 or the entire set of 60-80 $89.99. No thanks after spending over $200 for the experience of both Zipline and ATV. I give it 5 stars regardless it added a increased enhancement to our beautiful vacation.

Very fun adventure that doesn't take up all your day. Started with atvs and they did a good job of letting you have your freedom while making sure you don't die. Then went to the cenote, had many things to along with a few snacks! People were nice and made sure everyone was having a good time. Would recommend!

    Chino our guide! AWESOME

We went to Cancun for our daughter's 18th bday. She saw this and wanted to try it. We all had a blast. The zip lining was super fun and the views were awesome. I don't like heights but really enjoyed this. We all liked driving the atv, but was too short and only went in circles. The Cenote was sooooooo beautiful and fun to relax there as the last stop. CHINO, our guide was awesome!! The whole staff was helpful and nice. Made us fill welcomed.

After a rainy mud filled atv drive ! Well worth it and still can't get the mud stains out of that shirt !

Hola Amigos! So today we will step into the jungle on a rainy Sunday to have the best time of your Cancun trip life! "Are you ready " let's go! Sunday June 17 we got on the Selvatica shuttle and drove from playa mujeres all the way into the route of the cenotes. Long drive ...about 50 min from where we stayed but well worth it. Once you get there they greet you amongst the trees, say a few safety tips, give recommendations and take your food preferences. You then walk into a large wood hut where they have their guests services area, lockers and souvenir shop. If I recommend anything is that you walk with a change of clothes, towels, sunscreen and bug spray! On our trip it rained and I regretted not bringing any or these things. They have a website which basically states everything I Just said but I just preferred walking with less but seriously needed more. We signed up for the full excursion. This included ziplining through the tree canopies about 10! Including the human roller coaster which literally lets you hang and follow a coaster trail ( extremely thrilling), atv riding, exploring a cenote and headed back for a lunch prepared right on site. The atv rides and cenotes are done after the ziplining and require a shuttle ride about 10 min north of the Selvatica location. Best of all you get to zip line right into a gorgeous cenote. Everyone is usually broken up into groups but today it was about 30 people and we all did everything together. We got there at 1 and didnt get back to our resort until 7:00 pm so be prepared to spend your day there. The staff was incredibly friendly and extremely helpful throughout the entire day and experience. 100% recommend you book this excursion on your next trip to Cancun. Walk with your credit card or cash atleast 100$ to purchase your photos which they take through out your entire time there and also to take home a souvenir. This is definitely an Experience of a lifetime! Don't forget to tip your shuttle driver.

My sister and I went out on this excursion on a family trip to Cancun and it was the best part of the whole trip. We booked the extreme canopy tour which is 99 USD a person. This is such a great price considering the customer service you get (free transportation to/from your resort, lunch included, awesome guides). A private van picked us up from our resort with a very cordial driver. We got to the resort, checked in and met our main guide for the day. Our main guide was JK and he was a very entertaining individual, very engaging, funny and knows how to hype things up. We had a safety briefing and then climbed up for our zip lining adventure. There is about 10 zip lines which took about 45 minutes to an hour, depending on the size of your group. The last zip line ends in water, which is optional but highly recommended! The zip lines were breathtaking and extremely fun. JK and the rest of the crew regard safety as the #1 priority so you have nothing to worry about. After we were guided to the "human roller coaster", I won't give anything away but my whole group said this was scarier than the ziplines. True but also amazing. Lastly, we took a caravan to their private cenote for a quick, refreshing swim. BEST PART OF THE EXCURSION! Such a relaxing constrast to the adrenaline rush of the ziplines. Then it was off to lunch, chicken fajitas and rice. Simple but authentic. During lunch, they give you iPads so you can see the pictures they took of you during with excursion, with an option to buy them. Overall, amazing value for the price. The service was top notch. JK and the crew are great people.

Selvatica is an incredibly unique experience that can top any company in Cancun. We did the Xtreme Canopy Tour through via the website and we loved it! The environment was extremely friendly and welcoming. We felt like we were part of the jungle in the safest manner possible. The guys here are very professional and they all personalized our experience. The zip lines are super fun and the place is beautiful. You feel very safe the whole time, but also know that you are safe in the hands of the experienced staff. We loved that they took our photos with the parrots; in fact, we purchased the photo package because they did such a great job. At the end, we had lunch, and it was very good and relaxing after a long day of zip-lining and cenote swimming. We would recommend this place to anyone; it was really amazing. Shout out to our tour guide Dennis from Arizona. DENNIS is the man!!! Actually, the entire staff has amazing energy and was very helpful and friendly! I'm afraid of heights and each staff member made me feel safe and encourage me to "face my fears." I recommend this to anyone visiting Cancun. You will definitely get your money's worth!

"Welcome to the jungle, we got fun and games", is the best way I can describe this place. You don't need to be a thrill seeker to enjoy this place. The staff really makes you feel comfortable. From ATVs, to sink holes, to zip lining and bungee jumping, they have it all. Activities for all! Just be sure to bring the bug spray and sun block.

We visited Taak Bi Ha through My Quest Concierge Private Tours, booked through Viator as "VIP Tulum Private Tour." Taak Bi Ha was the last of three stops on our day tour. My wife and I couldn't have been happier with My Quest. For details, including how much we paid, see My Quest's Yelp page here: https://www.yelp.com/biz/my-quest-concierge-private-tours-playa-del-carmen In regard to Taak Bi Ha, My Quest took care of transportation to and from, parking, tickets, translation with on-site staff, pictures, and a personalized guided tour. We entered the cenote just after 12:15pm on a Monday. We stayed until about 1:30pm. During that time, the cenote wasn't crowded at all. There were other groups, but not many. The cenote opening is narrow and steep (watch your head). As soon as you enter and take a look at the cenote from the first elevated platform, the view is stunning. This cenote is an example of nature at its finest. Cenotes have formed over millions of years. Inside, there are man-made platforms which are great for taking pictures. We put on life vests, provided at the check-in shack, and we had our own snorkeling gear and flashlights from My Quest. We got into the water and our My Quest guide gave us a full tour of the cenote, including a pitch-black section where our flashlights and my phone light were our only sources of light. We also swam through a tiny hole to get there. It was wild: https://www.instagram.com/p/C4_KKkAOYzd/?hl=en The water was cold. Bring water shoes to protect your feet. Snorkeling with flashlights is definitely the way to go as you'll be able to see the amazing caves, flowstones, stalagmites, etc. underwater. There's also beautiful coral and stalactites. Bring a waterproof camera. I used a waterproof phone pouch to take my pictures and videos. The water was so clean, clear, and blue. In addition, we saw bats. My wife absolutely loved the experience. She was incredibly happy and thought the cenote was so cool from a nature and science perspective. For her, this cenote was one of the highlights from our trip to the Yucatan Peninsula. I agree. She described the cenote as "other-worldly" and "like being on another planet." No bug spray either so move quickly because the short walk through the jungle will have you swarmed! The entrance is through a small cave opening with a very steep flight of steps - wear water shoes and watch your head! Once inside, you'll be in a wonderland! Crystal clear blue water, swooping bats (lots of them!!) and beautiful stalagtites and stalagmites everywhere. I understand why these spaces were considered sacred to the Maya - it is truly another world. We didn't swim but you certainly can. This is an especially good place for divers - we were told that the caves here connect to a much larger system (and ultimately the largest underwater cave system in the world). Really happy we had the opportunity to check this place out!!

It is possible that this "temple" was merely a lighthouse, and that the actual Temple of Ixchel, the goddess of the moon, was somewhere else. When Hernando Cortez got here in 1517, the only inhabitants on the island were the priestesses of the goddess Ixchel, and that's how "Isla Mujeres" (Island of women) got its name. The temple and the surrounding cliffs and sea make for some beautiful and breathtaking views and incredible photos. I saw a review that referred to this temple as "a pile of rocks". Wow. I was curious to learn what the history was behind them but without any formal placard, I had to do some internet research. Turns out, these ruins are a small part of many building groups between Cozumel and Playa del Carmen that were used for Maya women to honor the Goddess Ixchel, a pilgrimage necessary for a healthy pregnancy and childbirth. Three remain - two in Playacar Phase II and one in Playacar Phase I, which is the one I visited. A short walk through the jungle connects all three. It's the only free Mayan rural site in Mexico, and the only Mayan ruins maintained in a contemporary residential communities; therefore, if you're interested in getting a taste of ancient culture while on your beach trip to Playa del Carmen, it might just be worth checking out!

It's very beautiful, super peaceful, we learned some wonderful facts for sure. I also learned from a previous Yelp Commentator of the Goddess Ixchel who was often praised and worshiped by the Mayan women for good health and childbirth. Super interesting to know. Apparently it's so expanded, that you have to pass "phases," which are sections, so in Playacar Phase I and Phase II, you can definitely see it and there are shortcuts through a small jungle to the actual Xaman-Ha Ruins. It's very beautiful!!

My wife and I had the opportunity to visit Cancun recently on a work awards trip. Everyone in the…read moregroup had an opportunity to select an excursion, and this was the one we selected. Most people opted to do the spa, which was lovely-but I can do a spa day at home. I wanted to go to the JUNGLE! We were picked up from our hotel, along with another couple that selected this activity and then we stopped by two other hotels to pick up more people. From our hotel (Live Aqua) it was about a 40 minute ride in the shuttle. Our driver kept to himself for the most part, and the rest of the group took the time to get to know each other. It turned out that some were going on ATV rides and others were doing the zip line. We were part of the zip line group. Upon arrival, we signed some waivers and put our belongings in a locker. There is a charge (five dollars, I think) to rent the locker. But if you're doing the zip line, you don't want to be carrying anything with you. It's also required that you wear close toe shoes. Water shoes might be best so you can wear them to zip line and swim later. There was a bit of down time at the beginning-we were told to sit at a table and wait to begin. Then we were guided to a lady who positioned us holding some big beautiful birds. My wife is terribly afraid of birds, and the lady noticed that and made sure to keep some distance between her and the birds. I appreciated that-but we still went for a picture to capture the moment. Speaking of pictures, there's a staff member that follows the group around all day snapping photos. I'm not one to spend money on souvenirs, but I'll throw down coin for pictures. That's my kind of souvenir. After the birds, we started on the zip lines. I don't think any of us realized when we signed up, but there were ten different lines. There was a lot of stairs and walking-which didn't bother us, but if you have any physical limitations-or just don't wanna-then keep that in mind. There were two guides with us giving instruction and checking harnesses, plus the photographer. They were all very friendly and obviously knew what they were doing. On one of the lines, I asked about going upside down, and Paco-our guide showed me what to do-and went down the line with me. It was really cool-I highly recommend doing that at least once. The last line drops you off in a shallow pool of water. It was exhilarating! If you are wearing shoes that you don't want to get wet, your guide will take them down for you and give them back after you dry off. Then we got on to a jungle truck, as I like to call it, and took a very bumpy ride to the cenote to do some swimming. It was absolutely as beautiful as pictures you may see online. Of course, you should do the rope swing into the water, which everyone in our group experienced. The water was cool, but not uncomfortable. This was the point that our ATV friends joined us for a few minutes before we left to have lunch. Lunch was burritos and chips & salsa. Everything tasted delightful and was filling. Drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) were available for an additional price. Be sure to bring some cash for tips-these folks worked very hard and treated us great. They earned every dollar they received and then some! The entire experience about 4 hours. I did feel that some parts were a little rushed (would have liked to have had more time in the cenote), but overall if was amazing. We are talking about bringing the 17 year old back next year-I think he'd love it!

They made her feel very comfortable and she was able to go across a few lines with help (Vivi). Neither of us have done anything like this, ziplines or atvs, and when I come back, I will for sure be booking another excursion. It had rained a lot the day before we went, so we opted for the Polaris, which was still very exhilarating. Please keep in mind that you are in the middle of a jungle basically, so there is zero to no reception. You are also required to leave all your belongings in your car for the zip lines & human rollercoaster. Nothing in your pockets either. After you complete those activities, before going to the cenote and atv's you can retrieve your phones and such.
