Looked up Cenotes wanted to go to a different one. This place was not crowded, it was nice and quiet. Cenotes are connected, 1-5 the last 2 are for scuba diving (equipment not provided). Marcos, the employee, stated that no guide required we were on our own, you can set your belongings in your car or there are picnic areas to place them on (at your own risk). Thier are bats in one of the caves just saying

We had a great time at 7 bocas (mouths) cenote. We went on Dec 31st and the place was wonderfully quiet... Only 3 other families. The 7 mouths are the different daylight openings to the large 150 meter-deep pool of clear water. Each of the mouths have small caverns. Numbers 1-5 are interconnected by natural passageways where you can keep your head above water, easily following a rope to get to the next mouth. Mouths 6 & 7 are said to be via scuba access only. (though I was able to freedive to 6 easily). There are 3 Mouths with stairs for easy access and one round mouth where you can jump into the water, more than 20 feet below. Nice that life jackets were available, but optional. The most amazing thing to see is the sun shining down into the clear water until it becomes only a pinpoint. We had a wonderful time... The guy there was nice and very helpful. The other families were very friendly. Lots of small palapas. Price was 300 mxp for adults & 250 for Cancun residents. Getting here probably won't be easy as you would need your own car to take you about 1.5 miles down a dirt road. No 4-wheelers, zip lines or horseback rides here... this is a very natural setting.

Located near the town of Puerto Morelos off the Ruta de los Cenotes, Cenote 7 Bocas is an interesting set of cenotes to explore. Boca means "mouth" in Spanish, so this is a set of seven water holes. Some are connected by an underground river. Some you can jump in from above, and numbers 5 to 7 are not accessible. The road is unpaved once you leave the Ruta de los Cenotes and is not well marked. Other trails go off to the sides. We brought a guide whose expert local knowledge was purchased with some tacos, a few bucks and some cold beers. Since he knew the cenote keepers, we had a discount from the regular price of $20 bucks or so. Everyone was happy with our loose arrangement 'cause we never would have come this way by ourselves. We'd never even heard of the Route of the Cenotes, but you can guess what it is. Cenote 7 Bocas is one of the better cenote experiences, as some cenotes around here are just glorified swimming holes. This one is an underground river and cave swimming experience. You descend by stairs into the first boca and enter a huge cavern filled with water with a wooden platform. Your eyes will adjust to the darkness to see the rock formations. The keepers provided waterproof flashlights. The water temperature was cool even on this hot day, though we did wear our own wetsuits because cenote swimming was a target activity of this trip. You enter the first boca down the stairs, then swim the underground river to another boca. There are ropes to help guide you through the darkness of the cavern. I wouldn't do this without a guide. This cenote was pretty good, but I've been in a much better underground river one twice. I'll review it if I can rediscover the name. If you plan to swim in a cenote, don't wear sunscreen or you will pollute the water.

Very nice cenote. Our guide was amazing and the experience will last a lifetime. Loved the blind catfish and cave crustaceans.

The last 2km is the entrance where you'll drive on a dirt road but otherwise it's highways and paved roads.

This is my second visit here and although it was still beautiful, the water wasn't as turquoise and breathtaking as I remember it being the first time I visited. After conducting some research, I do believe that has to do with the time of year of the visits. Regardless, it's still very enjoyable and worth checking out. It's basically a very calm lake. The atmosphere is calm, relaxed, and completely care free no worries vibe. It's the spot to definitely unplug and take in natures pure beauty right in front of your eyes. In the water are hammocks for swinging. An area for overlook. A few huge docks. There's also a few swings in the water. A bar area to purchase beverages and food items. Note, it does cost to get in. I believe it was $18.00 US dollars. You are not allowed to bring in sunscreen, you leave it at the door, and can take it on your way out. You're required to take a shower upon entering. Staff were friendly and explained everything well even with the bit of language barrier. My friend and I enjoyed our time for about two hours and if I come back in February/March 2026, I'd definitely come back for another visit.

The Laguna is only a few minutes of walking away from the parking lot. There is a nice observation tower to look at the shift between shallow and deep water. Regular swimmers are limited to the shallow area on the outskirts of the Laguna (which is very expansive) while divers with equipment are allowed to go to the deep center. In the shallow areas are various swings, hammocks, photo opportunities, and even volleyball nets (bring your own ball). We spent a few hours relaxing in the water and soaking up the sun. The ticket is 300 pesos per person and parking is free (need a small tip).

This was my first time…read moresnorkeling in a lagoon and I was really excited because the water looked clear and beautiful on land. We came here with a tour guide around 11am in February, and the water was not only cold, but there were not many fish. When there were fish, it was the same type of fish over and over again. Maybe she just didn't take us to the right places, but I didn't see anything that excited me. I probably wouldn't want to come here again to snorkel. There are probably much better places for it!

Yal Ku happened to be the lagoon our guide took us to. Didn't get to explore the area too much but theres a parking lot, small changing rooms, bathrooms, and a small restaurant. Several other groups were there trying to snorkel at the same but it wasn't overly crowded. We first went and got our supplies...lifevests, goggles and fitted them. Once everyone was fitted we jumped into the water and were instructed to go to a certain area of the lagoon. Some areas had slightly poor visibility--I mean, it is a lagoon, can't expect too much. Some cool things I saw included this huge school of sardines swimming right next to me and some rainbow colored fish in another area. Almost didn't want to leave the water because I was so excited to explore. Made me want to book a snorkeling trip to an island asap... Anyway, when you do come out to the parking area, you might run into the ice cream man with those pinwheel crackers~get some!
