The regular snorkeling tour ~ 2 hours, was beautiful! Lots of fish-large and small, a green turtle. Christofer was the guide, super kind and knowledgeable. Water and granola bar 1/2 through. After, cold shower to rinse off and they provided a microfiber towel to dry off with. They kept our dry clothes in a cubby in the office. Great service. read more

I've only had one other experience as an uncertified diver and diving with WetSet surpassed my expectations 10 folds. I knew i wanted to scuba during my trip to cancun and i wanted to bring my brother and sister. We did the discover diving deluxe package and it was well worth it. Mau (Mauricio) was very patient with us and very instructive, Lara was sweet and helped us throughout aswell. Felicity is amazing with communication. I suggest reaching out via Whatsapp so that she can answer any questions. The sandwich they provided for lunch was delicious and filled us up before the second dive. Went on my first warm water dive with the help of Christopher and Evan. They were amazing. First, communication via email was great. They were able to accommodate a last minute change. I was nervous and they did great making me feel safe. I got sick on the second dive, and it was not fun but they took great care of me. Never forget your meds! We went on the classic snorkeling tour and saw lots of cute fish. The reef is pretty close to the shore. The company provides wetsuits, snorkeling gears, and life jackets. The guide was attentive and led us the entire way in the water. Meanwhile, the beach seems very chill. read more

So glad I did this!!! I did a 2 tank cenoté five with Felicity!! She was so awesome!! Her experience and confidence made me feel very comfortable in the water and she was so friendly, funny, and nice. We had a small group, only 3 divers. It included the full equipment rental, water, snacks, entrance into the cenotés, and she paid for our lunch. Felicity was also really quick to get back to emails and her communication was on point. Would definitely recommend this to anyone with certification or even if they are looking to take any courses. read more

Knowledgeable and caring about the environment, he took us to see a cool huge barracuda and some of the group saw a nurse shark. Beautiful coral and many bright colorful fish. We did 2 locations. I took a 2 hour snorkeling tour with West Set out of Puerto Moreles. There is a great reef just off the coast here (it's not Cozumel), that takes a couple minutes to get to. Unfortunately the winds were high, so the waves pushed us around a little, but worse, the water was cloudy. This was not Wet Set's fault though, and when it is higher winds the whole area is shut down to snorkeling. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the tour guide professional. It's well worth it, especially when it's calm waters, which I guess is most of the time. They have good snorkel gear for you as part of the price. The place is easy to find and park at, then you just walk the 1 block to the beach, get in a boat, go a minute, and snorkel. read more

My wife and I went with our two kids on an 8:30 snorkel. Jose and Eddy were great. My 11 year old son had only been once before but had no problems. Jose found a bunch of cool things for him to see. My 7 year old daughter also had fun and only got a little cold towards end. Glad they had us wear wetsuits even though water was nice. When she got too cold she hung out on the boat with Eddy. All there facilities and boats felt safe and were very nice. They even gave us some fruit when we returned. We went from here to the Tulum ruins so was a good way to start the day. My friend and I were staying at Breathless Cancun and the hotel's snorkeling option was sold out for the day. I gave Wet Set a call and they had 2 options available for the day. We took a taxi from our hotel to Wet Set and it only took us 15 minutes to get here. Adriana, our guide, was amazing! We had a small group (the two of us and a family of three) which was perfect. We spent the next 2 hours snorkeling which was the best snorkel experience my friend has had so far( it was my first time). If you're looking for a hassle free, fun experience go with Wet Set. The missus was feeling a little under the weather so I got a free pass to explore. We're staying at a really nice, all inclusive resort near Puerto Morales (PM), but dang, I've just got to get off the reservation and see a little bit of Mexico and the barrier reef. I came across Wet Set on yelp and am glad I did. First off, it was a $15 cab ride from my hotel. I encourage those that want to get away from the Potemkin Village of tourist Mexico to grab a cab and go for it. PM is a charming, funky town that in a few years will be replaced by some global conglomerate's master plan or climate change will claim it. The barrier reef is about 400 meters offshore from a hard packed beach. Shops, bars and restaurants abound. It's kind of bo-ho chic. Oh, but we're here to talk about Wet Set. Wet Set is a PADI approved dive shop. The equipment is in good condition and wetsuits are included in their rental fee, which for a 90 minute snorkel trip was $35. The waves were up a bit so we were not going to swim the outside of the reef. Note to you scuba types, they do offer scuba dives and they had a number of groups going out. I was impressed, had I wanted to dive, I HAD to take the PADI refresher course. These guys aren't chasing the $; good for them. We launched from the beach with 8 snorkelers, 2 guides and a boat captain. The plan was to enter the water, follow the current along the reef and get picked up. This worked well. They had a good dive talk about safety and not damaging the reef. There were two 45 minute dives on the reef. One guide was in front with a life ring and something that looked like an inflatable strawberry so we'd see him. The other brought up the rear. One of the group became fatigued so she held on to the life ring and the lead guide pulled her along. The reef was really beautiful so there was no need to be in a hurry. Floating over the coral revealed a lot of cool fish. I enjoyed Wet Set and thought it was good value for the $. My only suggestion would be that after you dive with them, you stroll the beach and get a leg message from one of the many message vendors. I wish I had; swim fins tax muscles that aren't used regularly. read more

We had an excellent experience snorkeling for the first time with Wet Set. They were professional, fun, and knowledgeable, and PADI certified. The 2 reefs Jose took us to were healthy and teeming with all sorts of colorful fish, coral, Barracudas, and we even saw an Eagle Ray. The water is shallow so you are literally right on top of the reefs which is such an amazing experience. When we got back they had cold water and fresh fruit waiting for us, which was thoroughly enjoyed (and needed). There is a bar with food on the beach right in front of Wet Set, and we had some great 2 for 1 Pina Coladas and fresh fish afterward. We will definitely be back to Wet Set, and want to check out their whale shark trip next! read more

First dive for my son and I. Stayed at Royalton resort near puerto morales and came to this dive shop to do our first ocean dive. People here are great. Carly was our instructor and was very pleasant. Place was very professional. Can't believe the number of fish and coral structures we were able to see just by walking into the water from the shop (shop is on the water). My brother in-law, Bellingham Steve, who is an experienced diver, was also very pleased with the site and felt the equipment was excellent. Make sure to get ceviche at the attached restaurant overlooking the water. read more

Our first night dive was fantastic, thanks to Francisco. Our 16 year old son and I were very pleased at how patient and kind he was. We went in at dusk and came out at 9. We saw so much, but the 2 octopuses were super fun to watch! We saw eels, crabs, shrimp, lobsters, a lion fish, trunk fish and so much more. I can't believe I was nervous. We booked about 7 days ahead for snorkeling of 10 of us. We were in mexico and poop hit the fan with covid19. First I asked what they used disinfect their snorkeling equipment. They told me mouth wash. Unfortunately it is only 26 percent alcohol and will not kill they covid19 virus. I asked if we could bring alchohol at 90 percent and they said yes. Not sure why they didnt get that this virus was serious and they should have been doing more. 3 days before we agreed we had to return back to usa and then canada because of our government telling everyone to get back home. I let them know and they were perfectly understanding and told me that they would refund our money and expect it within 7 to 10 days. Well a few days later we see that they refunded us 50 percent. I looked on their site and didnt see anything about them stealing 50 percent of our money. We gave them plenty of notice and under the circumstances I felt it was a no brainer. I emailed them back asking if we could expect the rest of our money and they refused saying that we had booked on of their 3 boats and they are small business and therefore they had the right to steal 162 dollars usd from us. This was very disappointing and not very canadian of these owners. I am guessing that no one was coming because of the virus and they were in need of money. I will never reccomend these people and the fact that they disinfect with something that doesnt even kill 99 per cent of viruses is very troubling. Maybe they can put that they will keep 50 percent of your money if you cancel because of this deadly virus even though you give them notice. So pathetic of any company to take advantage of situations like these. read more

I haven't dove in 25 years and was a little worried. they gave me a refresher course in the pool. Then we went out to the reef for a 2 tank dive. They did all the work, I never carried a tank. The crew is awesome and really look out for you. I can't wait to go back and do their other dives!!!! read more

The staff was so friendly and great at guiding the group that I am no longer freaked by open ocean. :) they did a wonderful job of sighting fish I wouldn't have noticed and knew all of the names. Everyone spoke perfect English. The location on the beach is a nice. I have visited many different dive shops all over the caribbean and Wet Set is by far the best. We had a terrible snorkel tour with the resort we stayed at that was so unorganized and rushed that it made my son scared to get back in the water to snorkel again. The team from Wet Set talked to our son about what he was scared of. They allowed us to rent fins for him and they let him borrow a life vest. They showed him a chart of all of the fish he would see if he got back into the water. They showed us that we could use the beach where they tie up their boats to walk into the water to get him comfortable again. Wet Set had such a calm and friendly way of talking to our son that he spent the rest of the day in the water chasing fish and the next day we took the 2 stop tour that Wet Set offers. It was amazing. We saw tons of beautiful coral, fish, an eagle ray, and two sea turtles. It was an adventure that the family will never forget and it probably wouldnt have happened without the patience and encouragement of the Wet Set team. Did my first of nine ocean dives with these guys and they were GREAT! The owner goes above and beyond. And Noa is the best! Did the first four dives with Arturo and he made me feel comfortable for the first ocean dives I ever did. These guys know their local reefs. The whole crew is courteous and make you feel welcoming. We found Wet Set online and booked our Cenote and snorkeling trip for a couple of days later. Sometimes you never know with what you find online but I was happily surprised. Jorge was awesome and extremely knowledgeable. We felt like it was well worth the money and such a nice break from the crowds at our resort. After a personalized Cenote tour and some great snorkeling we enjoyed a great lunch at a beach side restaurant (included in our tour). I would highly recommend booking with Wet Set!!! read more

After discovering Puerto Morales on a day trip from Cancun, we returned the next morning for a great snorkeling trip with this group. Our guide Carla educated us on the fish during the trip and was a joy to be around. She was enthusiastic, patient, and knowledgeable. The equipment was sanitized and we were offered a selection of wetsuits, which we needed for the cooler temperatures.
