One of the best dive shops ever. They totally take care of their customers and I have to say I truly appreciate it. I had Ana amazing day and the diving was unbelievable. Now let's not forget about the lunch provided... That sandwich was da bomb! Love this place and can't wait to go back... One year later.. All I can say is Nico and his staff at Cenote Xperience are amazing. This was the second time I've had the pleasure to dive with them and I can honestly say, it won't be the last. First class and top notch shop who embody excellent customer service. I brought a few friends down right after the 1st of the year and none of us were disappointed. My family booked, consisting of myself and wife (who are very experienced with multiple certifications) and our 16 year old daughter with 5 dives. I booked with Cenote Xperiance online with a small deposit. Upon arrival the team was prompt and very outwardly concerned with making the dives and experience easy for us. They spent extra time with my daughter determining her comfort level which I wasn't worried about but appreciated it for sure. Martin (one of the owners-family owned business)picked us up right on time from our hotel in a clean truck everyday, saving us cab rides. We dived the first day in Playa ocean (which was what we expected), Next day in Cozumel,(spectacular)and the last day in the Cenotes, (unbelievable). We never once felt anything but complete professionalism.. Even down to Martin retesting the Nitrox right in front of us to make sure the tanks were labeled correctly. Or encouraging us (no pushy) to eat after every dive. These people are some of the nicest people I've ever dived with.. They are the people you root for to make it in their business venture. and I believe they will make it, bc they do things right and cle arly care and are crazy honest... To better appreciate the level of praise that I have about my recent experience with Nico, Carlos, and Martin of Cenote Experience, I have to provide a little background. I'm an AAUS Scientific Diver, an aquarium diver, and a NAUI Instructor, with over 1,100 dives and GUE Rec Fundamentals-training. In 33 years of diving, I've completed 26 different certifications with 15 different instructors with all levels of capability and experience, and I would have to say that the training I received from Nicolas "Nico" Casella and Carlos Mendicuti of Cenote Experience was absolutely outstanding. Not only are they both incredibly personable and approachable, but their practical knowledge and their ability to clearly communicate training skills and reasoning was some of the best that I've ever had. They were also incredibly patient and supportive as I hit one learning curve after another, across four consecutive trainings. As instructors, their attention to detail, surpassed even my own, so I am now incorporating several of their techniques into my own training methods. In the end, I came away feeling extremely humbled by the cave training, but also extremely capable of venturing into that environment, given the completeness of their training. Based on my experience and those of four separate dive buddies who referred me to them, you cannot go wrong diving or training with Cenote Experience. What a spectacular experience! We had a bit of a mishap organizing pick up time but Nicolas and Nani sure made up for it with the entire day - they have well maintained equipment and their shop was very close to their hotel. Once we were geared up we drove to the Cenote where we did our briefing. It was a longish briefing (15minutes or so) but wow, Nicolas knows his stuff! He gave us a really in depth safety briefing as well as educated us on the Cenotes and prepared us on what to expect. From the salt/fresh water mixing & visibly to the light and rock formations. Right down to the tiniest details, like a tarp to remove your wetsuits without getting dirty and tasty sandwiches for lunch. I'd highly recommend these guys both for their professionalism and their fun personalities! read more

I've been diving with Nico Casella and CenoteXperience since 2009 I believe, first was cavern dives in cenotes, then a cavern course and this trip was my first as a full CCR Cave certified diver. My friend Chris and I dove 8 days with Nico and were, once again, blown away. This was Chris' first time with CenoteXperience and he was treated to what I've become used to over the years. Simply the most customer centric, safe and enjoyable dive experience we've ever had. Nico helped arrange transport from airport to our condo, planned all the dives, provided bailout tanks, diluent and O2 fills daily. Picked us up and dropped us off at our condo each day. Every day's dive began with a bit of history on the drive to the cenote where we'd set up gear before taking a walk to the cenote opening to discuss the dive plan. We'd review the dive on the map and then execute exactly what we had talked about. He chose the sites from large open cave areas in the beginning to help us get our fins under us again gradually increasing the technical ability needed to traverse the system to the final days where we did 3.5 and 4 hour stage dives. Along the way I saw some of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. As other reviews have mentioned, when you dive with CenoteXperience you're not just "hiring a dive guide" you're becoming part of the family. I've never know a more friendly, kind, knowledgeable team in any dive shop I've been to. Truly outstanding experience. You guys just keep getting better! read more

Had an AMAZING time with Martin at Cenotexperience! I'm a pretty novice diver with only my open water license but Martin was nothing but professional, calm and patient the entire time. He went over my gear and reminded me how to use everything until I was comfortable. September is low season so it wasn't crowded and felt very private with just the instructor and myself on our dive. There were a few other companies going in but didn't see them during the dive except when we first went in. Martin loves the cenotes and is an avid cave diver himself and it's very evident when diving with him. He points out amazing fossils and things that would be easily missed for most divers. I went alone as my husband doesn't have his certification and it just just the instructor and myself. We dove two cenotes, Chac-mool and Kukulcan which were next to each other but very different from each other. Buoyancy was a bit of a struggle for me at first as it's quite different from the ocean, any inflation or deflation is accelerated since the water is not as dense as sea water. The water was very clear, minimal sea life but the limestone formations underwater was out of this world. It was nothing like any dive I've done in the ocean. Also amazing to see the different color water, blue and green with halocline. They don't allow video or photography equipment in the cenote - they want divers to stay aware and not crash into the delicate formations. This is completely understandable, don't go in thinking it's a scam! There is a photographer that works for the cenote and will take some photos / video in the very beginning. They're professional and there to make a living. They also take great photos, probably better than most of us! I highly recommend a cenote dive when visiting. It was the highlight of my trip!! I first used Cenote Xperience for guided dives in the cenotes last June. I was so impressed with Nico Casella as a guide and instructor, that when I returned to Mexico for cave diving training, I placed my trust in him. Nico is an excellent instructor. His presentations were clear and concise. His experience was evident and enriched the course making it the best dive training course I've ever taken. Between my girlfriend and me, we've been diving in multiple cenote with several dive shops in and around Playa. We went with Cenote Xperience for our most recent trip and were so happy we did. Nicolas (Nico) and his brother Martin own and are the sole staff for this wonderful outfit. This was my second time diving Dos Ojos- last time was 12 years ago. The company I used last time is not what they use to be. My buddy and I were picked up at the ferry after crossing from Cozumel, so we didn't have to hassle taxis. Xperience gave us total discretion on choosing our dive site. Based upon their knowledge of visibility and dive conditions we opted for D.O . Conditions were excellent. Martin and Nicolas have been doing this for a while and Martin's professionalism was very obvious throughout. We had, water, drinks, fruit and cookies in between dives. And we all had huge delicious sandwiches after the dive. Did I mention Nitrox was free? And they were less expensive than other outfits. These guys are tops- no ifs, ands nor buts. It's such a pleasure to see a couple of young men so enthusiastic about what they do running their own business. Everything from the start to finish of the Cenote dive was first class. You could tell that these guys were top notch and safety and knowledge. Diving in a cave for the first time is a serious experience but because of the professionalism a lot of my fears were eased. This was a not to be missed experience. They picked me up at the ferry from Cozumel, made the paperwork super easy, included nitrogen, lunch, snacks and drinks at no extra cost. The dive guide was very knowledgeable about the Mayan history of the area and definitely knows the Cenotes. He was just amazing. Our dive was very relaxing and incredible. We dove the cenotes for the first time and it was awesome! Don't think I'll make it a career to dive them, because it's a totally different sensation then diving open water, but I'm so glad we did it! Don't go expecting to see marine life, but go expecting to have an awesome, indescribable sensory experience. The shop was great and easy to deal with. It is off the main path, but I recommend you get off 5th street to find great vendors! We would use Dive Mike's again, in a heart beat! read more
